WANTED: What Keeps A Friend-Ship Afloat?

Things got a little heated at the Rosewood Valentine's day dance in Wanted, and we're not just talking about hook-ups on the Tunnel of Luv ride. Em got a bit hot and bothered, too:


"'You know, friends don't jerk friends around. Friends don't give each other mixed messages. And…and I don't think I can handle being friends if things are going to be the same as they were before.'" ~ Emily, from Wanted, p. 187


Personally, we agree with Em. A friend who's a tease, is no friend in deed. Do you think Emily is too naïve to tell when she's being toyed with or is she just blinded by what her heart wants?

1st comment ! I don't think Emily's that naive. She's a kind girl and sometimes blinded by her feelings but I think she's also realistic and able to realize when she's being toyed with. She knows when to listen to her head even if she'd rather listen to her heart.

She's a bit naive about things but she is to quick to follow her heart. Like how Ali told her first and she believed barely thinking about it.

I haven't read Wanted (cause I'm french and the book's not released here yet) but I ordered it in english yesterday and I'm so eager to read it and finally be able to read everybody's comments without avoiding the spoilers :) Anyway I'm glad the end is totally unexpected !! I was afraid that after such great books it would be disappointing. But someone said that sara didn't reveal who new A was. Could you just tell me if it's true ? Cause it seems really weird. Btw Kassidy is that you who got irritated by the questions of the people who had watched the show without reading the books on the previous page? If so, I agree with you. I like the show but the books are so much better ! It's such a shame the series is over. I hope Ali's diary will be published !! (This blog's really cool because nobody knows the series here ! and I can practice my English :)

Okay, this is a question for the people who have read all of the books and are watching the show. Is it just me or are the people who have only watched the shows theories wwaaayyyy out there?! Like, if you read the books it is never even suspected that Jenna isn't blind or killed Ali or is A, especially at the beginning of the series. Is it just me??

I love the show, pretty little liars. And my favorite character is the main character with the brown hair. I foget her name though. The one that likes the teacher. I am going to read the book soon!!! -A ..... lol

Thanks spencer ! I thought so but I wanted to be sure. And I agree with you : you can so think of weird theories if you only watch the show. It's even impossible to find out who A is. But after all, it was also very hard to guess reading the books. And actually I think you can't really get the whole story without reading them because too many details are missing in the show.

I think that it is a bit of both, love makes us blind and a bit naive. Emily never moved on from her first love and the really brought down her maturity when it came to relationships because it never evolved. Whoever she was dating, she never had been commited to them because Ali was always a present reminder. On a side note, I really think that Mrs. Shepard should write a spin-off series from the epilouge. I feel that we are all eager to see what other things the real A can ruin. It would also answer all of my remaining questions, like where did the rest of the family go and what was Jason's real problem? Sorry I'm trying to be vague and not ruin anything! Apolgies if I did.

mathilde, yes that was me who got irratated, well i was one of them. And i think that emily just wants to think that everything is alright like *SPOILER ALERT!* when ali told them she was still alive and everything was fine but yet she was the real ali but they just didnt know they were friends with courtney all that time and ali killed courtney.

She's way too naive. *Spoiler Alert* Even after Ali tried to kill them in the poconos, Emily STILL believed she was alive after the house blew up, and tried to get the fireman to save her. Emily just can't understand the fact the Ali was never her friend and they didn't have a chance together.

I think Emily was a little bit blinded by love. If I was Emily I would think it was too good to be true, but she didn't. She never thought her perfect Ali would lie. I think Emily should've been a bit more suspisous.

i wish i hadn't read perfect it tottaly confused me about the rest of the series and completely threw me off track of the mystery but ever sense the beggining i knew that jenna was "a" and not blind but i thought the killer was spencer bcuz "a" was throwing the girls off track and leading them to spencer

@Kassidy these people reallyy need to read the books from the beginning cuz Jenna is blinded! She isnt -A and she does die because of -A!!! The people who dont read the book have really crazy theories and if u read up to the 4th book u no who the first -A is and they barley even show her in the show which makes me very mad!

i dont think shes naive when it came to maya but with"ali" and trisha she was. just finished wanted luv the books and the series the show makes the book so much more funny cause its so behind what i already know whats going to happen
