WANTED: The Big Reveal

Ali in Pretty Little Liars

We're gathered here today to discuss Wanted's most shocking revelation. We thought A was the one to fear--but there was an even scarier bitch on the block. If you haven't read Wanted yet, don't cheat yourself by reading the comments on this entry!!! But we can't wait any longer - we want to know what those who've read it think of the shocking conclusion to Pretty Little Liars!

Comments:

first:) I never would have guessed that Ali was Courtney and vice versa, so confusing!

Posted by Spencer on June 25, 2010 at 01:02 PM EDT #

This book was soo creepy at the end. I knew Ali wouldn't just become that nice. I knew something was up. I got so scared at the end because of Ian and Ali's evil letter. It was all so confusing. I did not see this coming. The twin thing was crazy. I still can't believe the ending. I'm still sitting here trying to comprehend everything haha. I'm kinda sad that was the last one. Hopefully the next series will be good too. Is anyone gonna read The Lying Game?

Posted by Kate on June 25, 2010 at 01:26 PM EDT #

i was soooo scared at the part when ians body was in the closet. that crazy $#@% was the crazy one after all. lol shes a murderer too:O

Posted by KASSIDY on June 25, 2010 at 01:30 PM EDT #

That was BEYOND creepy! They never knew Ali at all...And they thought Courtney was nuts? Ali murdered (and tried to murder) lots of people, all because she wanted her life back. When they found Ian and the note, I was creeped out. And the last part about the new girl in your class was creepy too. Does that mean Ali's still out there?

Posted by Karma on June 25, 2010 at 02:44 PM EDT #

I'm deff. gonna read the Lying game. And I was sooo shocked at the end of the book. I would have never guessed that! This was the greatest book series I have ever read by far! It was way confusing but I loved every second of it. I NEVER would have guessed from the1st book any of this! The creepiest part was the note and Mellissa being trapped in the closet with Ian that had to be like really sad and gross!I still have tons of questions though like how did Ali and Mona conspire what happened to Leah Zook and soo much moree!

Posted by Marie on June 25, 2010 at 02:50 PM EDT #

I was shocked that Ali was a twin! Especially that Ali was Courtney and Courtney was Ali all that time.

Posted by Crystal on June 25, 2010 at 03:08 PM EDT #

I was soooooooooooo shocked that ali was really courtney and courtney was the one who really died! I was soooo shocked at the end. So is ali really alive or not that was the part i got confused on!!!!!

Posted by Katherine on June 25, 2010 at 03:20 PM EDT #

the ending was so good!! i never would have seen it coming!! i love the epilogue... it sounds like Ali still is alive and changed her appearance or something so that you kind of recognize her but not enough to know its really her! the names gave it away because i could tell the letters were scrambled! but it was a really good ending, and kinda spooky in the graveyard!!

Posted by Jackie on June 25, 2010 at 03:27 PM EDT #

U have no idea how shocked I waz!!!! I waz also confused iz she still alive will she explain in the blog or another book???? Or will it always b a mystery???? I also hoped tht Emily and Issac would get bac 2gether but it didn't happen. The last book waz realli gud and it said I didn't c tht comin!!!

Posted by Lennie on June 25, 2010 at 04:05 PM EDT #

the end was creepy. I would have never guess any of it. Well I kind of always thought it was ali. But that was. Too werid. The next day I was still trying to get everything. It changed everything about pretty little liars. I really think you should write a spin-off how many of you guys think that's a good idea?

Posted by tealia on June 25, 2010 at 04:19 PM EDT #

The end scared the living daylights out of me. If I was Melissa, I would've cried.... lmfao. But seriously, although it broke my heart (because I related to the four girls so much, I felt their pain), I also realize that it was the only way the story could've ended. I see that now. It's the only way it would've had a satisfying resolution. But now I'll miss these girls so much :( ah, well, at least we have the show! But yeah, the ending was unpredictable and scary. I loved every second of it(:

Posted by Patty on June 25, 2010 at 04:41 PM EDT #

I completely forgot about the end where it says the thing about the new girl. I didn't understand that part. Ali's dead. We know she's dead. The name thing is very weird though. I don't get it. I hope she writes something to explain all that, cuz I just don't get it. Do ya'll? If you do could you please explain. Thankyou.

Posted by Kate on June 25, 2010 at 05:09 PM EDT #

who does aria stay with at the end of the book since fitz went to jail?

Posted by natasha on June 25, 2010 at 05:20 PM EDT #

i really was disapointed. i didnt like it how ali was courtney and courtney was ali :(

Posted by Jessie on June 25, 2010 at 05:26 PM EDT #

First of all, i thought this series was amazing! But, i was kind of dissapointed on how it ended. The new girl? I hope that gets explained.. Ever since the quote "Ali killed Ali" i suspected that she was going to have a twin sister. It was confusing and i realize that it was the only way the series could of ended. I wish there was more! and could anyone tell me who's on the cover of the book?

Posted by Renee on June 25, 2010 at 05:47 PM EDT #

After I read WANTED I had to take a minute to process what happened. I say this is the best book I ever read in my entire life. I'm glad that both Ali and Courtney are gone. Now I know the girls won't get tormented. But what was up with the ending? Emily hearing something!?! Now I can't stop thinking of what it was! I will pass the Pretty Little Liars books forever! Long Live PLL!!!!!

Posted by Isabella on June 25, 2010 at 05:53 PM EDT #

I agree @Marie....i'm def gonna read the Lying Game as well.....but you know in Wanted, there are so many things left out. What about Leah? Or Iris? And everything we thought!!!I never would of have known about the vice-versa thing. It kinda reminds me of Privilege Series by Kate Brian.

Posted by Brittany on June 25, 2010 at 06:26 PM EDT #

OMG its crazy good!!! but its soo confuzzling!! of course i will read her next books, but i think that she should write another book just so that people understand everything, from every angle. she left out a lot of stuff!

Posted by Ashton on June 25, 2010 at 06:49 PM EDT #

Alright.. so i havent read the books but im watching the series on ABC Family and these comments are giving so much away, if they really put it all the tv series. It Made me upset when i read Natasha's when she said Fitz went to jail D: him and Aria are my favorites in the tv series, i dont want him to leaveee!

Posted by kayleefacee on June 25, 2010 at 07:49 PM EDT #

Wanted ending was so good and confused. I wish Pretty Little Liars didn't end. Their should be spin-off series. I never thought Ali had a twin sister. Wanted was the best book in the series.

Posted by Ariella on June 25, 2010 at 10:21 PM EDT #

for those of you who dont understand the ending, its trying to make you think. it means that like, Ali, the real one, really survived somehow. and she changed her appearance enough that it wasn't obviously her. and she was now to the class. that was the whole point of the girls name being the scrambled letters of "Alison DiLaurentis." Sara Shepard was trying to creep us out and make us wonder.

Posted by Jillian on June 25, 2010 at 11:02 PM EDT #

@Renee Aria's on the cover of the book

Posted by abrielle on June 25, 2010 at 11:38 PM EDT #

ohhhh gosh i was soooo shocked! i had to reread the chapter with the letter and now im rereading the entire series and now that u know ali and courtney switched everything seems like SOOO obvious

Posted by Elizabeth on June 26, 2010 at 01:42 AM EDT #

Ians part was sooooo sad and creepy. I knew that Courtney was Ali from the mental hospitol. That part was predictable.

Posted by Alexis on June 26, 2010 at 02:19 AM EDT #

Loved the series. But I figured out the existance of twins in the last book. What kept me guessing is when the switch took place. It confused me that if the "insane" sister was the one who made friends with the PLL, then why was the original Ali now being insane. I wish there was another book to tie up all the loose ends, like the Amish tie in and what happened to Ali's family.

Posted by SLS on June 26, 2010 at 03:58 AM EDT #

I JUST finished wanted. But i have a lot of questions which were not answered in the books...(SPOILER ALERT)such as: Why were Jenna and Maya so close? Who was Kate talking to on the phone when Hana caught her saying "Its almost time. It'll work. I cant wait!" and cackling? How did Leah Zook die? If Courtney swapped rings with Ali, to make it look like it was her, then why did Spencer say that she saw a C on the fake Alis (courtneys) finger , and the real Ali outside had an A. And why did fake Ali have an A on her finger the night she died? When Courtney (real Ali) convinced Aria that she was Ali in the woods, she said that she remembered drawing the wishing well on her time capsule flag. But later, she says that the REAL Courtney (fake Ali) drew the wishing well on her time capsule flag, which annoyed her. How does this make sense?

Posted by xoxopllxoxo on June 26, 2010 at 05:14 AM EDT #

Why was Wilden acting crazy the day that he drove Hana home? How did the real Ali know that Mona was A, and how did she get the diary if the police had taken it? When Hana remembers how she went to dinner with Kate and Isabel, and Mona only knew she was with her dad but not that she was with ate. She got a text from A saying Sean was with Aria at foxy but the only way that mona could have known about kate and isabel was if mona and kate talked beforehand. Can someone clear this up? Why are there a lot of texts from A with fake clues like someone in your life is not what they seem to Hana and look in the mirror to Spencer and she sees Melissa?

Posted by xoxopllxoxo on June 26, 2010 at 05:14 AM EDT #

yeah they never really said anything about wilden, or jason for that fact. like why did they right that undr ians name in the year book? they actually didnt clear up alot of things like that.

Posted by KASSIDY on June 26, 2010 at 11:39 AM EDT #

awwww :( i just read the comments but havnt read wanted yet lol I LOVE THESES BOOOKS!!! they are addictive !

Posted by Kitttybabbeey on June 26, 2010 at 11:57 AM EDT #

I think that it was very unexpected to find out that the real A and the murderer at the end of the series was Ali herself. I think that it was really good to make the most loved and innocent girl the exact opposite as how she was seen by everyone else. The whole twins thing was very confusing and added a whole twist to the story. At the end, everything that happened in Rosewood made sense. AMAZING SERIES!! By far my favorite :)

Posted by Jessica Chetrit on June 26, 2010 at 12:46 PM EDT #

@Kaylee ; I know! -____- I love aria & fitz. I wanted them to be togetheer. They are my absolute favorites. It's so saddd. But they get caught. :' ((((((((((

Posted by Natasha on June 26, 2010 at 12:58 PM EDT #

sooo. who does aria stay with?????

Posted by Natasha on June 26, 2010 at 01:00 PM EDT #

This book was AMAZING! I suspected that Ali had some sort of relative that looked just like her after reading Killer, but i never suspected what was really going on. I can't wait to read the Lying Game, I hope it can hold up to my standards after reading the Pretty Little Liars series!

Posted by lindsay on June 26, 2010 at 02:22 PM EDT #

ok so my question is.... that the A from wicked to wanted is ALL the real Ali? if so how did she get out of the mental hospital?

Posted by Elizabeth on June 26, 2010 at 03:04 PM EDT #

i havent read all of wanted yet so i kinda skipped around a bit haha( i just couldnt wait until the end) ;) but the part when they find ian's body was FREAKY i never thought they were ever going to find it. I honestly think that ali and courtney were both crazy. Even though courtney was the unstable one, Ali killed people. Im sure glad spencer and melissa didnt inherit that too otherwise things would get really twisted.

Posted by sda on June 26, 2010 at 06:46 PM EDT #

Totally didn't see that coming. I knew something was up (obviously), but I didn't expect it to be that. Perfect ending to a wonderful series :D

Posted by Amber on June 26, 2010 at 08:46 PM EDT #

@elizabeth- she got out because she convinced her parents and everyone that she wasn't insane and was courtney because she knew that was the only way she could get out. what i don't understand is the Iris and hanna thing. it says that Iris knew all along that Hanna was coming but was does that have to do with anything. Also how did Mona and Ali scheme together that plan, Courtney couldn't have written absolutely everything in the diary. Ali played it off so well that she knew everything i never guessed that it was really courtney all along i was confused.

i feel that people on certain sights have ruined the books ending for me! i would perfer them not too! thanks, helga

Posted by Helga Monroe on June 26, 2010 at 11:17 PM EDT #

it says don't read the comments if you haven't read the book. that is what a blog is for

Posted by ola on June 26, 2010 at 11:23 PM EDT #

Omg you freaking republicans! Reading these books make me sick. You white rich girls care sooo much about looks and prada. I'm popular and I own NOTHING prada or gucci. For real, why would you spend money on a massage when you could stop people from dying. And the way some of you talk(puh-LEASSSE) that's just disgusting. Why fo you guys live in mansions? It's not worth it! I'm mean, seriously now, private school is pointless. Public schools wouldn't be so bad if you rich girls donated some money! Come down to the ghetto with me, learn some real manners and get a feel for what it's like to have to work for stuff, and not just buy it with daddy's shiny credit card.

Posted by Whitegirl on June 27, 2010 at 12:25 AM EDT #

@whitegirl you are sooo RUDE. I go to private school because I don't want to get jumped on your homey little ghetto. NO prada or gucci? Omg I'll donate some to your helpless little charity! Get off the schools library computer and stop messing with people different from you! BURNNNNA!

Posted by Stacy on June 27, 2010 at 12:33 AM EDT #

Omigod!! The conclusion was sooo unpredictable. But I agree with alot of you when you guys say that not all the questions were answered. I hope that Sara Shepard publishes another book that explains the rest of the loose ends and how the PLL are living now and the Dilaurentis family. Oh and Ali is definitely alive which makes me even more upset the series is actually finished:/

Posted by Girl on June 27, 2010 at 01:43 AM EDT #

OMG!! I finished reading Wanted yesterday!! Awesome ending, and it makes a lot of sense(: Although Sara didn't leave some things clear, like the whole thing about Leah and Wilden. And I know this is from the very begining, I think Aria and Ezra should of stayed together): I'm so gonna read her next series!! I have a feeling it's going to be like PLL<3

Posted by Tinsley on June 27, 2010 at 02:09 PM EDT #

OMG! I love the series. I just finished the second book and i have a few questions. 1. hy did Toby kill himself. 2. Is or was Toby, Mona, or Jenna A? 3. Who took the picures of Maya and Emily at Noel Kahn's party??

Posted by a person on June 27, 2010 at 03:45 PM EDT #

I finished reading wanted last night. I read it in four hours! I LOVED IT! I kinda wish it really Ali who befriended the PPLs. I really feel for the girls. I hope Sara Shepard puts out another book to connect all the ends. What about Leah, Iris, Jason, or Ali's family? Im sad Ian and Jenna died the way they did. I thought Ali dumped Ian down the well. Oh well BEST SERIES EVER!!!

Posted by Alison Lauren on June 27, 2010 at 04:05 PM EDT #

i totally agree. i really wish that it was the real ali in seventh grade. like im re-reading the books and its weird to think it wasnt even ali in the begining of the books.

Posted by Kassidy on June 27, 2010 at 05:06 PM EDT #

I am starting to read the first book and everyone says its so weird because my name is Emily Fields. I love the show it is the best thing on.

Posted by Emily F. on June 27, 2010 at 05:20 PM EDT #

@kate-It never says Ali's dead. It's just assumed, because nobody saw her leave the house before it exploded. But, they never found her body in the wreckage. So, the epilogue means she may still be out there, in a different town with a different name.

Posted by You Don't Need To Know on June 27, 2010 at 05:32 PM EDT #

Now I get why Spencer's dad said kids instead of kid. So Ali AND Courtney were his daughters.

Posted by Lauren on June 27, 2010 at 07:19 PM EDT #

Great series!

Posted by Janet on June 27, 2010 at 09:41 PM EDT #

I was so shocked. 1] the fact that Melissa turned out to be kinda good... all the strangeness what her trying to find out the truth ( i though A was her ) 2] the whole twin thing WOW! and really they needed to lock them both up lol 3] i still have questions like what happened with that Leah girl, where is Ali, and how Mona got in on this. this was a series that had me on my toes! i loved every second and sad its over. it always left me with my jaw on the ground and i feel like these girls are part of my family.

Posted by Brandi on June 28, 2010 at 12:13 AM EDT #

i absolutely love this series it was weird reading the last book cause now its just over. The last book rapped up a lot of questions for me but created a bunch of new ones I'm still a little confused but i loved the book. It was so gross at the Poconos house and insane i thought Courtney was the crazy one but i guess they both are. Well now i think i am going to read the lying games keep writing sara!! <3emily

Posted by emily on June 28, 2010 at 11:40 AM EDT #

I could go on and on about this, i didn't understand. admit it everyone, there was at least ONE thing you didn't get. plus, i didn't totally like the twist-twin sisters? Twists are so much better when there is foreshadowing, there weren't any hints to this, so when Courtney(real Ali) was revealed it was kind of like what? Like an "i didn't see this coming but it's too out of the blue" i don't know but i felt like it was rushed, all the twin stuff. I was hoping the earlier books' characters would somehow come back in the last book(Mr. Fitz,Wren?) but i wasn't totally disappointed when that didn't happen. I thought it was a good ending but the book as a whole didn't totally work for me. I'm at least glad they all have closure at the end, even though the epilogue suggests someone is still out there..Did ali's arsonistic idea backfire on her or did she escape like she planned?!?

Posted by geennaaayy on June 28, 2010 at 11:57 AM EDT #

OMGGGGGG!!!! Amazing series by Sara Shepard! The last book, Wanted, was amazing! I loved every minute of all 8 books and they kept me wanting more! I will admit, I'm sad it's over but also love the new series! Anyway, the last book was great! It explained everything that happened and the ending was shocking but so unbelieveably PERFECT! i recommend these books to anyone and everyone who will pick them up!

Posted by Vicki on June 28, 2010 at 04:45 PM EDT #

i think that both ali and courtney are really messed up, and even though courtney was completely insane she should have been more careful, when she blinded Jenna she got away with it but what if toby wouldn't have cared?? then she would have probably been locked up again and going through all the trouble of switching with ali would have been for nothing. and then ali blames the four girls for something her sister did, why didn't ali switch rings again so she would have the A ring and then go back into the barn and act like she was sorry for storming out on them and then go make up with naomi and riley, and break up with ian?????

Posted by jenna on June 28, 2010 at 05:36 PM EDT #

i understand the story wouldn't have been as interesting then but im just pointing those things out.

Posted by jenna on June 28, 2010 at 05:37 PM EDT #

okay I'm a new viewer watching the TV show and i veryy confused if any of you can tell me a summary of the book (s) and/or the TV show that would be really helpful and by reading the comments i have one major question doesn't the Mother and/or father know the difference between the children thats what i dont understand from the TV show. But I one think to say... this TV has given me nightmares anyone else? please anyone write a summary for me i need help understanding thiss!!! thanks! Beckky.

Ok so @Whitegirl....some of us (in general) isn't rebuplicans. Well i can say for myself. For you to come online and accuse stuff is beyond ridiculous...get a life...and while your at it...get a dictionary.

So did we ever find out what happened with kate and her old boyfriend? hana thought it was herpes but what was it?

Posted by kaitlin on June 29, 2010 at 03:46 AM EDT #

oh yeah kaitlin we didnt. and whitegirl,i totally understand where your coming from. i mean i dont understand whats so important about mansions and stuff like that. But i am not a republican, im not rich at all, i dont own anything gucci or prada, i dont live in the ghetto but i used to(and i live pretty damn close to it now), i go to a public school, i know real manners, and i read the books! it doesnt mean your one of those white rich girls that their daddys get them everything that they want if you read the books. so dont go thinking that. and like i said i do know where your coming from though.

Posted by Kassidy on June 29, 2010 at 04:52 PM EDT #

omg. that had to be the best book out of the entire series. they had twist and turns, and shocks on every page. the end was a shock. who would have believed that their best friend was courtney the entire time. and Ali(the real on)had never liked them or even would take a second glance. kudos kudos kudos to sarah she really rocked this one!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by denise on June 29, 2010 at 04:56 PM EDT #

oh kassidy..... um that commment was a lil off from the book. maybe i missed some other comment, but that was odd

Posted by denise on June 29, 2010 at 05:12 PM EDT #

OMG! this series was absolutely amazing. I didn't expect the Ali had a twin sister at all. But there was a couple of things that i didn't understand. If Ali was A and Ali was in the mental hospital..how could she be A because they took her phone and stuff away? that was the only part that really confused me. And i felt so bad for Emily in this back because she was madly in love with Ali (courtney) and she got stood up from her. Also the Ian and Melissa thing was so weird. I thought that Melissa had a bigger part in the murder and i didn't expect it to be Ali at all. Well this book was soo good and now i'm going to have to watch the shows because i wanted to finish the series first! Sarah you did an amazing job! and i think you should write another book to help everyone out to not be confused! But this book was great and the series was soo addicting! Can't wait to read liars game.! (:

omg someone please explain this thing to me it is so confusing and awesome! and how is ali really courtney and courtney really ali? and how do they find ians body?

Posted by kara on June 30, 2010 at 10:18 AM EDT #

I thought the whole Ali/Courtney thing was clever, but weird. I felt like it was a little unrealistic that Mr. and Mrs. DiLaurentis didn't even notice the difference between the two girls, even though they were twins. The whole DiLaurentis family is so messed up. It is odd that they didn't even tell anyone that their daughter had a twin and that they honestly thought that sending Courtney away would have solved everything. I don't understand why they just didn't accept the fact that one of their daughters was psycho. It sucks that Spencer is semi-related to the DiLaurentises, but at least it brought her closer to Melissa. I think the books are amazing. Sarah Shepard knows exactly how to keep a reader obsessed with a story. These are the first books that I have read that I was unable to put down. They went by so quickly! I’m sad it’s all over, but it was great while it lasted. I’m disappointed in the TV show. It does not do the books justice at all. It is so frustrating to watch.

Posted by Lauren on July 01, 2010 at 03:47 AM EDT #

OMG Wanted was so EPIC!!!!! It ended where Ali like changed her identity, I cannot wait to read the Lying Games. But I am sad that this series ended :( But it was one of my favorites. :D

Posted by Kaity on July 01, 2010 at 09:29 AM EDT #

@Kate if u read the first book again and the first page starts out like Imagine its the summer between 7th and 8th grade theyre talking about that girl then if u read the last part of Wanted its easier to understand

Posted by M&A&R&I&E& on July 01, 2010 at 01:36 PM EDT #

@Becky read the books so much better and easier to understand! Th show is way confusing!

Posted by Marie on July 01, 2010 at 01:38 PM EDT #

Wanted was the craziest book of the season. Me and my friends who r addicted to the series guessed there was twin but the whole switch thing was redonkulou! kudos to Sara Shepard. And i can't waint to find out more about the Lying Game. RIP Ian

Posted by Lily on July 01, 2010 at 02:39 PM EDT #

I wanna read Wanted SO SO SO SO badly! All I know so far (from accidentally reading spoilers...:D) is that Ali has a twin, NO idea how that works out, apparently Ali's evil...?, Ian is dead...?, and Noel cheats on Aria or something. It sounds very good and very VERY confusing. I can't wait to read this. So sad it's the last book in the series! ): Oh btw what's the Lying Game and what's it about because a lot of people mentioned that so I'm very confused...

Posted by Rosie on July 01, 2010 at 09:34 PM EDT #

Wanted was insanely delicous and creepy all at the same time. I loved it. But at least we know they all had the happy ending they deserved (unless Ali really is still alive...) A few things about the loose ends 1) Were Kate, Naomi, and Riley still ruling the school? Or did they just like to think they did because they were bitchy and delusional? 2)Why was Wilden always so off? Because of his bad boy past? 3Kinda made me sad that Hanna never resolved her daddy issues 4)The real Ali was the one who roomed with Iris, but she said she "got away" so if she was actually the real A, then doesn't that clear up why Iris knew Hanna was coming? Cause Ali planned for her to go? 5)WHY?? Did Ali just want everyone to be mislead, never suspecting this would ever be the end? Or did she just want to stall them before she killed them? Like why send Emily to Amish country? Why did she want Hanna to learn about Iris? Did Iris know the whole story all along? AHHHH!

Posted by Alexa on July 01, 2010 at 11:56 PM EDT #

I just finished Heartless - AMAZING! I was so damn scared and all the books have given me nightmares! But help me: 1) Ali switched places with Courtney - WHY? 2) Who is A? The first was Mona, but the second was...? 3) And what had Mona to do with this? Was she like friends with Ali? 4) HOW did Ali get out from the mad place?? 5) Who did Emily see in the woods? She said it looked like Ali, was it her?? PLEASE, help me!!!!

Posted by Lava on July 03, 2010 at 07:04 AM EDT #

OK peeps, people have asked who Aria ends up with, well its not Ezra:((. It's Noel Kahn, they make up, cuz Ali(real Ali as Courtney) kissed him,and slapped him 2 make it look like he kissed her.

Posted by Gracie L. on July 05, 2010 at 01:20 AM EDT #

OMG!!! I loved Wanted:) I finished it in 2 and 1/2 hours. I cannot believe that Ali was Courtney and Courtney was Ali!! I wish it hadn't have ended. I really enjoyed these books:))) A-MA-ZING Series!!! Also to answer your guys questions about Mona, I don't think she worked with Ali she just got all their secrets from (fake) Ali's diary.

i just realized how this actually came together better than Sara Shepard planned, when the medium that Aria went to see wrote "Ali killed Ali" it meant that one twin killed the other twin, but it could actually be taken in a literal sense, that Ali started the fire that killed her in the end... creepy! there are a lot of loose ends in the story and a lot of unanswered questions, my biggest was what was that whole thing with the wishing well? i thought that it might have had something to do with the well that Aria and Emily saw when Ali (Courtney) hypnotised them, but after the wishing well is mentioned, nothing really happened with it.

I didnt think that the ending to the book was very satisfying, its upsetting to me that the girl we all knew as Ali was actually someone completely different, but it was an interesting twist anyways. the epilogue was also confusing with that girl and her weird set of names, that when you look closely dont even add up to Alison DiLaurentis, but oh well the series is one of my favorites by far and im sad that it ended ):

I really want to read the Pretty Little Liars series, but I can't find the books anywhere. Does anyone know where to buy them, or what library they are in?

I agree with Stephanie. Totally.

It is kind of weird watching the show and knowing it wasnt Ali the whole time.

okay luved it totally she SAra should write a follow up books about like did emily find love, what did happen to leah zook, did spencers parents divorece or not and so on and so on.

Its wierd to think that through all the books when they were reliving or thinking about the times they had with ali it was actaully courtney.... and when they all go to try and steal her flag that it was also courtney.!!!!! i feel like sara gave us sooooo many hints in the earlier book sthat we didnt relize!!!!!

I just finished Wanted and thought it was AMAZING! Definitely the best of all the books! I knew something bad was gonna happen when Ali invited them all up to the Pocono house! Especially when she said that they were going to reenact the night she dissapeared!! While i do wish she answered some more questions i liked how it ended leaving some questions open. Also, for all you wondering how the Amish tie in-Darren Wilden used to be Amish and his girlfriend dissapered but he didnt kill her...Ali was trying to make Emily think he did. But all in all, i loved this book so much! The part when they find Ian's body and then the letter got me so creeped out!

I agree with you all who are saying the ending of Wantedd wasn't that good): but it's okay.. I just can't wait to read Sara's next series; The Lying Game!! Is it going to be like PLL?? I think it's going to be about Ali at a new town and school and all that (cause I don't think Ali died!!)

Posted by Tinsley on July 12, 2010 at 04:08 PM EDT #

OMG! SO GOOD! Although i kinda thought that girl was Ali in the mental hospital. I was creeped out when they found Ian and that note!

Who would've thought Ali had a twin who decided to take Ali's place! In Heartless I didn't think it was possible for Ali to kill Ali but really Ali killed her twin for reuining her life...That is a little far out for trading places. Is Ali sure she's mentally stable? Poor Melissa kidnapped and put in a closet with a rotting body...sure she's mean to Spencer but really? I wish Ali's body could've been found to show that she really died. And where did her family go? The letter explained everything because before when she was talking about a twin I was like WHAT????!!!!!!!!!!

I can honestly say that after reading 'Wanted' I had nightmares for days. I finished the book at like midnight one day, and afterwards I just kept thinking about the last sentence... "...It was probably just the wind... Or was it?" That imediantly made me think that there was going to be another book :) but there won't be :( I knew from the start that there was going to be a twist and that Ali wasn't really dead. But I never could have predicted that she had a twin! Omg. Even as I'm typing this I keep looking at the front door... as if someone is going to walk in! All I can say is Thank You Sara Shepard! For writing an amazing series! -A Mwahaha

okay so the new girl thing. all of those names are scrambled to spell alison dilaurentis! so shes still out thhere! i think she iis. so like, jason & wilden? werent they like conspiring something? what happened with that. also how did mona and ali read the journal? liike how they conspire? and what happened with that leah girl?

Posted by Megan on July 16, 2010 at 10:42 PM EDT #

also, remember that day where wilden was driving all weird? why was he? & what happened with jason acting all weird and physco that one day with emily? so im thinking the entire family was physco! seriously, if they think that their family is normal, obviously they arent. so ali(courtney) was like, physco but obviously courtney(ali) was way more physco. & i dont think the real ali died. also, why did the real ali want to kill the ppl? whatd they do to her?

so i think i just figured some things out. A (the real ali) sent emily to the amish country to hear about the leah situation. emily, being in love with the girl she thought was ali(the real courtney), has always believed that ali isnt really dead. the real ali sends emily to the amish place to hear about leah, and to make her think that leah is in the ditch. that leads her to believing wilden is the murderer, and it covering up for ali somewhere. i think the real ali does this because she wants emily to easily accept the fact that ali(the real courtney) is alive. is that confusing? oh & also the hanna, & iris thing. the real ali and iris probably planned this entire thing while she was away. iris knew that hanna would eventually come because thats what ali and iris planned. they planned it together!

I was soooooooo surprsed & kinda disappi onted tht they never rly knew Ali at all :)

Okay, can someone please explain to me the names thing at the very end? Are all of the letters supposed to add up to Alison Dilaurentis? Or what? I was really confused about that part other than that the series was greattttttttt :D

I've just read that Sara's adding four more books to the series, starting with Twisted, due by July 2011. This is good b/c she didn't explain what happened to Leah and she left so much out. As good as Wanted was, it seemed rushed or as if she was trying to just finish the series off.

Wow this was definitly my favorite series EVER. It kept me guessing all the way through. A couple questions I have though, is what is the big connection with wishing wells? Like in the way begining of the first one, when ally hiptnotized them, hannah and emily saw a shadow of ally fall down a well. Was that really leah or what. And in the 8 book the real ally says she always loved the old wishing well but in the note she said courtney ruined the flag it by putting the well on it. Confused by a lot of things but cant wait to read the ninth book a clear it all up :)
