If the show ends up being anything like the book, then yes...Toby is dead, sadly. He committs suiside. (the bike..hint, hint). &he leaves a note for Emily saying how unperfect his life is.. & how nobody likes him or believes him. But that is if the show follows the book. Btw, I started these series LLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG before I knew about the show & i thought they were AMAZING! I'm addicted. & recomend the books everyone! Sorry if I spoiled the hole Toby thing /:

I think toby is dead because A left them a note and his bike was crashed and i think ali is dead but i don't wanna spoil it for evryone bc it is actually a good show and a lot of people are watching the show without reading the books sooo highly recommend the books for people who havn't read them yet !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

ok, well toby commits suicide, i know that for sure because he didnt want A to tell emily that he was doing something and touching Jenna...soo yea i guess that's it lol. he seems nice to emily at first but i really think that he just couldn't find a way to confess the truth to her.

For those who haven't read the books, i don't see the point on coming on the book website. If your a fan of the show, just go on ABC. People will have their accusations and you will have to wait to figure it out. Idk, i think the are screwing up the books. No Ian, you hardly see Wilden, and i still don't even know or care who Alex is. And i think is only 3 or 5 more episodes left, and if the add any more unnecessary stuff, im going to flip. BTW, this show isn't obvious. My cousin didn't even read the books and know who A is....

I think Emily misunderstood what Toby was doing when they were in the lab, but he was getting creepy when he started chasing her. If he didn't do that Emily might still like him. I don't think he's gone for good, but I'm sure his secret about Jenna will be revealed soon. Also I always knew he was creepy.

Thank you everyone who has read the books! You can't be a "number one fan" of Pretty Little Liars unless you have read the books!!!!! And for people on here who think this is just for the show , HA think again , this site use to and still is for the books so if your just going to watch the show and think your soo cool because of it then get a life because the books are waaaaay better and duhh of course Toby is dead! Oh and since were following th books , the begining doesn't start off with them drinking , Ali hypnotyses them and then Spencer tells her to leave and then shes dead....but for us who have read the books....haha we know what really happened :)

I think that Toby isn't gone for good and that he wrecked his bike on purpose as a distraction so that he can collect more and more information about Aria, Hanna, Spencer, and Emily.

I think Tobyy is not dead. And he will most definatelyy be back. And in the episode, I think she shouldv'e just listened to him and let him finish talking before she went all crazy and stuff and tried to run. :)

I really hate that they're messing up lots of stuff from the books. Like, the girls' hair colours, especially Spencer's was pretty important, cause then Melissa would be blonde too, and there was a point in the book when Spence suspected Mel of being A. And Ian and Mona are actually really important, but they just fade into the background in the show. Plus, whatthehell happened to Naomi and Riley! Now that I've watched the show, though, I kindof wished Toby wasn't dead, cause Keegan Allen is REAL cute, in an intense stalkerish way. But anyway, he's dead, and never coming back so DUDE GET OVER YOURSELVES.

I think Toby crashed his bike on purpose so the police would stop looking for him. I don't think he is A but i don't think he is dead either. I think Jenna was crying that hard because they can't find him. At least i hope he is alive: I like him. If he isn't, too bad. -Flawlesschick

Toby is the beeeeeeest <3 I love him so much! He is so sweet! But sadly he does commit suicide on the books :( But who knows? Maybe, hopefully, in the tv show they keep him alive! How great would THAT be? (P.S.: I started watching the show so I decided to read the books and I think they're both pretty different and great :D)

In the books, Toby is gone for good but in the show... I think it would make an interesting twist if he still was alive but I wish the show was a bit truer to the books. In my opinion the books are better and explain more of rivalry. But hopefully in the show Toby is back!! (:

Jenna didn't kill Ali, Ali Killed Ali. It's complicated. *SPOILER* Ali's twin sister, Courtney was pretending to be Ali. On the night of the sleep over, "Ali"(Courtney) went out side and the real Ali pushed her in a half dug hole and killed her. So Ali killed Ali and never befriended Aria, Spencer, Hanna, or Emily. Ali tried one more time to kill them all by setting the barn on fire with them in it. But they escaped without Ali. But the last page of the book hints that Ali's still alive.
