This series has me all over the place. Every time I find myself with a great theory it's crushed. Personally, I think Ali has been caught in the act. All they went on identifying the body with was her ring.

Yeah! Like if the old "A" was a fake, maybe she actually could be the real deal! Because I just kind of assumed that the "new A" was another fake, like as in, Not Ali. But it COULD be the real deal. Hmmm. But yeah, I'd have to ask her who is the hole. I have an idea. Maybe if Ali went away, and then the twin came along and befriended the girls, twin left, Ali came back and was annoyed she had to be friends with them, because she had to be because she couldnt let anyone know something had happened. i think jason and the cop hide her for like three years and she escaped. and like they faked her death?! because like appearently they killed her well it sure seems that way so if they did kill her maybe they just pretended and kept her like locked up or something cause they say that her a jason had problems, and jason went to like that mental thing like he went to consouling and stuff so he could have some real problems. but i sure if she is dead he has something to do with it.

i think this new a is someone that was involved with ali's dissapearrance. i say this because i've noticed that new a actually KNOWS things that can help them solve the mysteries. the old a just pretended to know things to make the girls paranoid. when in reality the only thing old a knew was what was in the diary! cause if she knew anything she would have knew about the possibility of alison being alive.

Alyssa, jenna knew that ali blinded her because they planned the fireworks thing together since they both has sibling problemos. But even tho ali blinded her, jenna didnt care since all she wanted was for toby to be gone. And thaats exacly wat happened.

already read the book it was pretty great, but I am excited for the next one! Ali and Spencer ARE related because Spencers dad had an afair with Ali's mom!!! Hanna was also in a mental hospital for most of the book as well. And Jenna is killed. Alot happens in this book, but it was kind of dry. Don't get me wrong I still love the series but was expecting a little bit more.

Yeah I agree. I think Ali has a twin and thats who they saw in the woods. Maybe she had something wrong with her, which is how the mental institution comes into play. I think the twin pushed Ali into that hole. The DiLaurentis family has been keeping the other daughter a secret because she probably didn't even understand what she did, and why would they want their only other daughter in prison.

I totally agree with the coment above mine, lol :) Or if not I think that the death was a fake one. Maybe the cops got tired of looking for Ali so they faked her death, and her family felt the need to play along. Also i think Jenna (the blind girl) knew all along because remember that part where she goes to Aria and looks guilty, like she's about to confess something.. it's so suspicious! And i think Ali is the new A that has been "helping" them. Can't wait to read Heartless!! :)

I think Ali has a lot of explaining to do. Why was she Jenna's friend? What was her relationship with Ian, Wilden and Jason? Where was she hiding? Did someone threaten her and that's why she ran away? Also, why is [SPOILER[ Leah Zook's (Wilden's Amish Girlfriend) dead body in the hole?

if u go on amazon.com and read part of heartless they keep mentioning a black sedan. Also they say stuff about it in killer. Ali is probably being hid by wilden,thats like his car, and remember he went of to the woods when looking for Ians body? he must have been working with someone (A?) hiding Ali in the woods. but when he burned the woods down, the girls saw ali... or did they??? also about the body in the hole... alis monagrammed ring found on the bodys finger could have been forced off ali by wilden/ someone else and put onto whose ever's body it is maybe... HEARTLESS SPOILER: wilden's ex amish girlfriends leah is maybe in the hole!!!! another spoiler.... jenny cauvanugh(blind girl) is killed by someone named Billy ford.

D.D, Theres a tv show coming out? and the next book is called "heartless"...and im dying to read it..I think ali has a twin...and thats why jason had "sibling problems" is because he uterly hated alison, and if there were two, that meant he had to put up with double the trouble...but her family tried to keep the secret of ali having a twin...and so jason and wilden planned out to murder ali, and killed one...and the other one ran away..never returning..and thats maybe who they found in the woods..and it totaly seems like A is trying to help them through this...but if A tells them to much, it puts them in danger..so in order to do it with out putting them in danger, A has to threaten them so they will listen..maybe A is Jenna...and her and Ali were bffs, (secretly) and Jenna is trying to get these girls to uncover the mystery so Ali can be free...cuz she certanly cant do it...due to the fact that shes blind...but IDK..to many theories!!! Lol

Am I the only one wondering about the dolls and models on the covers? If you look closely on the cover of "Wicked", the doll and model that is supposedly of "Spencer" has blue eyes, but in the books, she's supposed to have green. Maybe Sara is playing a trick on all of us..what if "Spencer" isn't really Spencer at all? What if it's Ali? I mean, they both pretty and have blond hair and Ali's the one with blue eyes, right? And then there's Aria. She's supposed to have blue eyes, but on the covers, her eyes are brown. Maybe the doll and the model on "Wanted" is supposed to be Jenna before the accident...

i think ali's mom is holding her hostage because at first she just wanted her fifteen days of fame and attention but then it became to big of a thing and she couldn't let ali out because people would suspect something so at the end of killer when they see ali it really is her and she wuz in the woods trying to escape but then A set the woods on fire, so then when she dissapears in heartless it wuz because her mom found her and took her back to her house nd hid her..... OK so the book title could be giving us hints because perfect, flawless, unbelievable, wicked, heartless, and wanted all describe ali. the only title that doesn't describe her is KILLER so either she could have a twin and killed her or killed herself and had someone else cover her body the night she disapeared. ***SPOILER*** at the end of heartless they find the guy who killed ali. he was one of the construction workers who was building the gazebo, apparently he became obsessed with her and stalked him. they figured out he killed ali because there were plumbers working at the cavanughas because of a busted pipe and they found jenna in the ditch in her backyard just like ali.

Ali is still alive! i figured out that she was still alive prob after the 2nd book. If u havent noticed at the end of almost every PLL book there is a little hint that ali is still alive. In one of the books they say her hair, in another they saw her eyes and i think at 1 point that also saw her figure in the woods (not the memory they saw her int the woods again in wicked i think). also i think melissa is a or ali is a.

To Kaylin: Whoa. That actually clears ALOT of things up. Ali and Spencer DO look alike, and it makes perfect sense now that we know that they're half-sisters. Then there's that thing where Spencer's mom got mad when they were all playing the We-Are-All-Secretly-Sisters game, and obviously, the affair was the REAL reason why Mrs. Hastings got upset. Wow. I'm just really surprised I was dead-on with the "Spencer" doll really being Ali :O I kinda thought it was a mistake or something, but I guess not! Sara is really sneaky and clever with all these hidden clues :)

the chracters on the front have nothing to do with the book... they're just models. And btw, got to the page that says "the series" (see top of this page) and it shows all the girls on the front of the book with her name under it (spencer, aria, hannah, and emily) so there. but good theories tho ;) PUMPED FO HEARTLESS!

Spolier Why was jenna killed? What secrets did she know? I think Ali was "Courtney" at the mental hospital. Maybe she is still alive and is going there still after something bad happened to her with Billy ford, Maybe she almost died and they sent her there. Maybe she got pregnant or something sthat night in the woods so they sent her away to not be embarrased. I think Ali is for sure dead. Otherwise who is in the hole, I don't think it's Leah.

Does anyone else think it's weird how the name Lauren is repeated in Ali's name? On the gravestone it said Alison Lauren DiLaurentis... May be nothing but I just thought it was unusual. Hey, I also think that Ali was a mental patient and the only reason she acted out and got really weird at times because of her medication. And I think Ali told Iris all of her secrets and before she died she said to keep everything she told her to herself. But when Ali died it was too much to handle, so she remembered the names of Ali's four friends, so she got there numbers and became the new A.

hey people. ok so i was at borders today and so i went to the teen section and looked....but heartless wasnt there! i was like so ticked...i walked to the front to meet my mom and so like then as we were leaving i saw this weird orange book on a table and i was just like "wait a minute... thats so weird. i definetly think that ali was at that reform place where hannah was, b/c when Emily found the document for Ali and it said this random place, then heard hannah say where she had been and it matched the place on alis document(remember hannah had just said she was in a mental hospital) plus ali used to take these drugs... antidepressants? anyways i think that Iris knew ali then. Plus leah's body was confirmed in the hole by the DNA test, not alis. I dont think ali commited suicide like Aria found out...Wilden said the Dna matched Ali because he didnt want to admit he killed Leah and that was her body. ALI IS ALIVE... AND BILLY FORD IS MAYBE A!!!!!

hey @michelle no prob i dont mind explaining. ok so A told emily to go to Amish county and ask for Lucy Zook. They became friends (emily was there for a weekend) and before emily left, lucy told her about her sister leah, and that she had dissappeared after breaking up with her bf. Then lucy showed emily leah's grave. it had a star on it that emily knew. lucy said that leahs old bf had a tattoo of the weird star on his arm. wilden had that tattoo. emily asked lucy leahs ex-bf name and sure enough it was wilden. plus leah died a night before ali did. billy ford was the stalker guy with the gold tooth who was working on alis gazebo be4 she died. 3 years later he was working at jennas house on a broken pipe. He killed jenna,and police checked his car and found pics of all the preetty lil liars. As for Ian, nobody knows but i'm pretty sure hes innocent, but is her alive??? cant wait for wanted either!

im not such a fan of the twin or cloning things, but if ali had a twin, maybe it was fraternal BOY? they already had a son, so maybe they gave the other boy twin. who knows?! so when she was like on the phone saying "hang up loser!' and hannah asked who it was and ali said my stupid brother, she might not have been talking about jason. and her sibling problems, the guy with ther higher voice imitating her? it may not make much sense, but i think that it could be possible :)

okay, here's my theory. I think that Ali had a twin sister that was mentally ill, and was going to radley's for a while. Jason's name was in the book because he was visiting her sister. Remember how he stopped appearing in the book around the weekend that they went to steal the flag? well, if i remember correctly, wasn't there someone upstairs in the room and the light shut out before the parents left? well, what if that was ali and her twin's bedroom? also, remember how in the pictures they say that she was like a different person back then? what if the real ali went to stay with her aunt or whoever when her twin was released, and it was the twin who befriended the 4? maybe ali and her twin didn't get along, and those were the sibling problems jenna was talking about! in the one flash back of the last day of seventh grade, they saw 'ali' reading something on her bed. the 4 went outside, and then ali come out in a different outfit! i think that maybe the twin was reading ali's

diary, and that night confronted ali about how rude she was being to the twin's friends that maybe ali didn't like. ali got really mad and pushed her twin, but then she fell into the hole. or vice versa (sp?) i think that wilden knew about the twins, and maybe ian found out after the whole ali and him flirting thing, and threatened to tell if jason didn't take ali's flag and give it to him. that's why jason took the flag, but he didn't want to give it to ian, so he gave it to aria and said he'd lost it. that would be what ian knew(the twin)! i just so you know, I haven't gotten the book yet :( i have to w8 till saturday :'(

MYHA LIKE MAYA;D!!!I SO AGREE! Well, partially. I don't think Ali had a twin. I think she had a clone. I think Ali was sick or something and was put in the hospital, her parents were worried that she would die and she didn't know how Jason would feel, so they cloned her. It was Ali who was actually in the hole, and her clone lived. Her parents didn't want anyone to find out she had a clone so they moved. Before Ali died, she told her clone everything she knew, the clone took it all in. Ali said to never tell anyone. When Ali died and Mona she couldn't take it, so she became the new A.

I really hope that Ian's not dead, even though he most likely is. I finished heartless this morning and I'm kinda thinking that it's getting too confusing. Ali was obviously at that mental hospital but I don't think Iris could have been A, because she can't get out and watch them. I think that the book that Emily found that said that Jason was a guest meant that he was just visiting her. The body in the whole was definintely Leah's but I don't think Wilden killed her. I kinda think Melissa has something to do with that night, because she's kinda putting Spencer on the wrong track and she was probably weirded out that she used to date Jason, her half-brother.

I also think that Ali was a patient at the mental hospita. BECAUSE, of the stress of having a clone. Her parents didn't want Ali to go INSANE, so they sent her there to get help and when Ali went missing they thought that it was becaus eof the clone and they didn't want anyone to find out and confront them so they left. Jason never knew about the clone until they left and when Jason could he left his mental family and went back to Rosewood looking for Ali's clone. He asked Wilden for help. They found her and locked her up. She escaped. Met the girls. And when the girls passed out Jason and Wilden captured her again.

I think, based on the books so far, that it would be WAY too simple for Billy Ford to be A. Sure, he was in the right place at the right time (or in the wrong place at the wrong time) but it just doesn't make sense for him to be A. As for Ali's body, I don't know now who was in the hole. If I were to guess, I would say Leah Zook, Wilden's Ex, which would DEFINITELY incriminate him. So where is Ali? I guess we'll just have to wait to find out...

Sorry to disappoint you i'mnotaliar, but it is physically impossible for Ali to have a clone, because, not only is it not scientifically possible, but Ali's clone would have to be MUCH younger than her, since clones are carried and mature in the EXACT same way as regular people. So just lay off the clone theories, OK? They aren't possible.

If you want to have a theory like that though, with a "clone" I would go with an identical twin, since the twin would be exactly identical, like a clone, but it would be the same age and it would be scientifically possible. P.S. When you clone something it doesn't just appear there like it is identical to whatever they cloned it from, but it too will have to grow up from a baby, it will just have the same DNA as the thing (person) it was cloned from.

hey everyone awesome theories! @imnotaliar.... i think you give a good arguement towards the cloning thing, but in my opinion its just not possible... but you never know :) anyways, i think its possible iris could be alis twin. think about it, both had blond hair, both were rich, both had the popular queenbee status, and stuff like that. who knows they might have been seperated a birth or something! well im not sure but i think theres a possibility. i think billy ford was either framed or helping A but im almost positive he isnt A or the killer, b/c i think sara has a better killer solution than that! cant wait for WANTED.

well if iris and ali were actually twins i think that they had a difficult time with each other, so iris went to the mental place where hannah was and ali went to the radley or whatever. they mustve seen the signup book with jasons signatures from visiting ali. i think the girls had troubles with each other cuz they had to keep each other secret or maybe the fact they knew about the affair? this is so confusing and good!

welll, after finishing the book i was completely confused about everything that happened. this billy ford just pops outta no where [in my mind] because all he is, is a worker guy. why would he want to kill ali or jenna? he must be working with someone right? and then this whole clone and twin theory could be or could not be, dont wanna get into that whole possibility. ians prolly dead, it sucks i know but if jason and wilden are really the ones who killed ali they prolly wanted ian dead because he knew too much. im just realllllllly confused. and this leah zook, alis mom and spencers dad, hanna going to the preserve and iris mess, & the flag drawings just makes it a billion times more confusing. does anyone else agree?

Either Ali has some sort of split personality disorder, or she has a twin. the are sooooo many clues that there is a twin in hiding. Ex. At Ali's funeral the eyes in the window, the second blonde, and the flashback where "Ali" got in trouble, but when she came outside to see the PLLs she was in a different outfit and had no memory of getting in trouble. Thanks imsuchaliar, I kinda believe that Iris could be Ali's twin(if I thought she had one.)(And If I Knew Who Iris Was) As I said before I'm still stuck on the cloning process. I mean, Jason and Wilden could have saw Ali die, they didn't report to the police what they saw becuase they would be prime suspects. So, they took her organs and cloned her.She escaped and met the girls. Wilden used Mona's -A phone to text her(Because Hanna gave it to him when Mona died) They set the woods on fire, Knocked out the girls with toomuch smoke inhaliation, and took Ali's clone. Wierd, I know but, its a book, so, its possible.

Iris. the sister thing could work with Iris cause if she really is insane than Ali's family wouldnt have wanted anyone to know about her. I think Ali either had a twin, or she had some serious mental issues. I don't want to believe that she killed herself, but the whole concept for PLL was a "Desperate Housewives" for the teenage set, so who knows?!? I'm not sure if I think that Ali is dead or not. I really think that the person that the girls saw in the woods was real though. Aria seems to have forgotten that she had to lift up a tree for the person to be able to get up. I don't think a tree would hold down a ghost. And completely unrelated, anyone wonder why none of the girls have asked Naomi and Riley what happened back in 6th grade? That has always bugged me.

Ali's not alive. Obviously. My theory, which I'm almost positive is right, is that Ali has a sister that no one except for her family knew about. I finished this book a while ago but I've been looking over peoples theories and stuff. Well, first of all I think it's REALLY obvious Billy Ford is NOT A. Like, they always hear giggles. Girly giggles. And A writes so Gossip Girlish so of course it's a girl. I also think Naomi and Riley definitely have something to do with this whole thing. I really don't think Billy Ford killed Ali I think someone set him up. I mean, it's just SO random! Like I would've wished it was someone we knew as a character. Also, I don't think it was Ian. Maybe it was Melissa? But anywho, I think Ali had mental problems and Jason just visited her in the mental hospital. Like, they say for like 2 weeks Ali dissapeared off the face of the earth, and Hannah went to the mental hospital for 2 weeks. It connects. And I don't have a clue about the whole Lucy Zook thing. NO it's ridiculous! cloning is IMPOSSIBLE this book is not scientific fiction its REALISTIC fiction okay? like it COULD happen in real life, but it's not an actually factual story. this book is kind of like the gossip girl series. can you imagine how let down and confused us readers would be if she just said like, they took alis organs and cloned her? O_O that's IMPOSSIBLE. it's not organs that can clone things its like, dna and molecules and if she was dead that's not gonna happen.

I think ali is a twin. how else would u explain it. I think her family gave the other child up for adoption or has been hiding her somehwere. The whole situation wit spencers father and the "kids" kind of brought me to this conclusion.

And @Hanna Ya sure, it may be impossible but, it's a book anything can happen, I once read a book by Margret Peterson Hadixx about this girl name Bethany( A name I love) who thought she was normal, but turns out she was the clone of her sister Elizebeth. Well, she's a clone of the girl Elizabeth not her sister so ANYWAYS thats kinda where I got my idea, Ya, so anyways thanks for sticking up for me imsuchaliar, and Hanna could we just put this behind us and just kinda forget about it. *MAJOR SPOILERS* Guys do you remember maybe in Killer I think when Hannah overhears Jason talking to someone with a high pitched voice and he's saying like "Don't do that, you could hurt yourself", and then the voice is like "I'm just playin' around!" Well maybe it was Ali's voice and she was maybe pretending to hang her self or slit her wrists or something, and maybe Jason helper her do it (cause he's crazy). Cause remember in Heartless when Aria supposedly contacts Ali and writes "Ali killed Ali" on the paper?... yeah that's one of my theories. I also have antoher one thoough. Remember the picture A sent them in killer, of Ali, Jenna Cavanuagh and a random blonde with her face covered that they probably thought was Riley Wolfe? Well maybe (and I know this is really far-fetched) it was Alis twin or something, and Ali is actually dead but it's Alis twin who they saw in the woods and that;s why who they saw in the woods seemed so oblivious to who they were. Just Sayin... lol

Well her brother was supposedly at the Radley, and some people think Jason was visiting Ali, those papers in the text to Emily weren't about the Radley they were about that fancy place Hanna went. OMG I JUST NOTICED SOMETHING! the medium said "ali killed ali" which either means she committed suicide (i dont think so that would be stupid) or she had a sister, preferably a twin, who killed her (im guessing thats iris) and it was ali's handwriting on the paper and her voice... so obviously it was ali... Chapter 6, Down the Rabbit Hole, is my favorite so far. I don't think -A was at the school though. I think she has someone doing her dirty work for her.( If -A is a her) I also think Aria's dad, Byron, is somehow right. You know, he said that Ali's ghost could be trying to contact them from the dead. But if it was Ali's ghost, how did Aria pull her out from under the log. Well, she didn't really touch her, she just moved the log. But, I also think, it was Ali's twin in the hole,( Yes, Hanna, I've turned to that side now. But I'm not going to let go of the clone thing. ) That's why it had Ali's DNA on her. But, if it was Ali's clone in the hole, Then the person they saw in the woods was Ali and that she was in hiding.

Ok, many people have been saying things about Ali possibly having a twin. My theory is that maybe the DiLaurentis's hid the twin because she was so violent. I mean Mona was violent, but this A is a lot scarier. Maybe the sister was jealous of Ali so she finally had enough and killed her, and he was maybe hiding in the woods pretending to be Ali to trick the girls. I know it's probably not a very good idea, but it's an idea nonetheless...

@ Jessie. No body knows if Ali is alive, but, I'll give you a spoiler. in the end of Killer, Aria was running through the woods going to meet with her freinds, she found Ians class ring on the way. After that she saw someone with a hood pulled over his face and and she heard a match being lit. Then, she was trapped in a fiery wall of ,well, fire. She ran through the woods and she found a person under a log, trapped, she helped the person and found her freinds. They were trapped as well. They asked the person their name and the person didn't answer, but as the person wiped soot of its face, they relized that th person that was standing in front of them was..... Ali. In the begining of Heartles the girls had passed out but when Emily looked around, she couldn't find Ali. She saw Police officers, EMT's, and other by standers, but no Ali. she had disappeared, just like Ian.

youre welcome IMNOTALIAR! nice theories. ok so jason and wilden are the same age, and friends. So what if when the were seniors(the year ali "died"), wilden told jason how leah had left him, and all the anger he felt. Being a friend, jason went along with Wilden's scheme to kill her (...my offer still stands written on the ybook maybe was this?) after they killed her, wilden became a cop to make himself look innocent, like he would never kill someone. Somehow they kept ali captive, and made it llook like she was the one who died. Jason hated ali, and used to be in a mental hospital, so he had a friend there keep ali for him.(under the name courtney) ali moved to the preserve, and shortly after she left to go to another hospital, she escaped and was caught in the woods. idk but its possible!

I remember Trista, but I don't think Trista was Ali at all. First - Ali was not a le$bian, nor a s!ut. Second- Alie was nothing like Trista, personality wise. Ali was almost like a blackmailer, hanging things over peoples heads. Trista gave in to temptations.

I also agree with Kat's previous statements. *Spoiler* But I can't help being a little sad about Jenna...I know we were intended to just accept that 'A' and 'Ali's killer' was some weird obsessed dude but...there's no real reason! Ugh. As far as Ali goes, I have a twinge of a feeling that she's still out there, and if not, Leah is Ali's twin and SHE was the one that the PPLs saw during the fire, and Ali was in the hole. Hmm...hope there aren't any contradictions there. All in all, that guy cannot be A. Too random! Awesome series. I've read these books quicker than anything else...and those are my thoughts.

READ READ READ PLEASE! HEY IMSUCHALIAR! I was reading Heartless,( YES, I got my copy) and on page 234 ,chapter 25 Aria Says Goodbye, Aria had gone to the cemetery to talk to Ali. She had nelt down and read the name on the gravestone, Alison Lauren Dilaurentis, and I thought, " Huh, isn't that funny, once I was talking to this person on the PLL's blog and we thought it was weird how they kept repeating Ali's middle name, and I just realized, Ali's middle name is repeated in her last name." So I took out Lauren, from her last name and took the remaining letters.( D, I, T, I, S). And I came up with, D.arren is it. And I jumped right out of my bed and came running to the computer. Thats All.

What if that picture was taken AFTER the Jenna thing. Excuse me, waiter, where's Jenna's sunglasses? Where's her guide dog? That was just a theory. Okay, I just finished Heartless and it was sooo amazing. I don't want to spoil it for the rest of you, but I think that Ali is still alive out there. How else do the rest of you explain the girl Aria rescued from the fire? And I really don't think this Billy Ford guy could have done it. I think that he was a completely random suspect they chose. What evidence did they find that led the police to him? And I definately do NOT trust Wilden. As for Ali having a twin, I don't see how that could be possible because how would Mrs. DiLaurentis and Mr. Hastings lose the other girl? I cannot wait until the next book is out :)

Mkk, my theory: In the end of heartless Spencers dad says "I didn't know about the kidS until after" I think Ali had a twin. She was courtney. Iris's old roomie. The person telling Hanna "don't let her hurt you like she hurt me" is Courtney. Iris did something crazy to her. Ali always said she had sibling problems. i really wish it was my theory though! ok so anyways chicas..... anyone discover anythingg new??? ok so im thinking maybbbbeeee that that photo A sent to emily of ali, jenna, and another blond was after the Jenna thing. if so jenna wasnt wearing glasses and her dog wasnt there. the blond girl was prob just mona or riley stalking them. so in other words JENNA WAS NEVER BLIND... She faked it. the message A sent with the picture was: something is wrong with this picture...find it out soon OR ELSE! maybe the thing that was wrong was that jenna wasnt wearing glasses, therefore she was blind. the blond was a decoy. the girls never figured it out so thats the OR ELSE part. Jenna died.

AHHHHHH! So my theory is Ali had a twin named Leah and she was Amish. Ali's mom slept around alot and her and this Amish guy one day and the next with Spencers dad you know the whole twins with different dads thing well its completely possible yeah anywhooo....if they were twins they would have the same DNA thus it would be simple for the DNA to match Ali or Leah or whoever is in the hole so basically one of them Ali or Leah died and the other was in the woods! As for the whole Iris thing i'm going to guess Iris went to the Radley where she met Ali and Ali was there because of emotional problems due to the whole lost twin thing and my guess is she knew about the whole affair thing with her mom and Spencers dad which is the reason she never talked to Spencer for a long time and why she acted so cruely toward Aria about her fathers affair!

But don't you think the girls would be just a little relieved if they new their secrets were safe and they didn't have to be tormented by Ali with them? Still, if Ali was dead, how would they explain alot of things. I know it wasn't their mind playing tricks on them when they saw Ali in the woods.

"Ali killed ali" because ali had a twin sister and whenali started going to a mental facility she went by the name ali also...when the real ali returned on the night of the sleepover she wanted to go to the sleepover instead of her twin so they made a plan to meet up half way. ali left to talk to her sister after leaving and they got in the fight "mental ali' pushed "real ali' into the hole..she got scared and went to go find jason who hid herin the poconos with the help of wilden....

Ok, so did anyone else pick up on the fact that in the picture A sent Emily of the evidence room, the Preserve at Addison-Stevens' paper had the name DiLaurentis on it, but you couldn't see the first name? I think maybe Iris and Ali were twin sisters cuz of Spencer's dad saying kidS. Also, in that picture of Ali, Jenna, and the blonde girl, maybe the blonde was Iris? Idk, just a few thoughts.

We have, the last name, the photo, and Jason and Wilden are the same age and freinds. Let's see. I KNOW! Ok, so you know how the Diluarentis lived somewhere else beside Rosewood, right, well, what if they had a different last name before they came. Ali had a twin who was murdered,( By Wilden ) So when they came they changed their last names to DIlaurenTIS, Jason came up with it so somebody would figure it out. They left Rosewood, when they came the Jenna thing ahppened, but the girl who was blinded was Jenna's twin(?) that's why she didn't have glasses, and SIBLING PROBLEMS! Jason got mad at Ali for some reason, and since Ali and Jason look alot alike, Ali killed Ali, He killed her and Wilden helped him cover it up.

I have a theory: Remember when Aria had the dream in Perfect about the ghostly Ali stepping in front of Aria's camera while she was making a movie? Ali had said "Look closer! It's right in front of you! It's right there!" I think she was talking about her killer, like in front of Aria was Ali. Hence to "Ali killed Ali."

Does anyone else think that jenna wasn't actually blind? it mentions several times that it looked like she was looking straigh tat them and her glasses were so big to cover scars... maybe she wore them but one day her sight came bck but she was ashamed of her face so continued wearing the glasses and felt guilty for the trauma she caused so she continued to fak eblind?

Steffi, I don't really understand what you were saying about the sibling problems. They mentioned the bottle of meds a few times in Heartless so that deff has something to do with it. Jenna and Ali deff still had something going on and Jason is really hiding something big. They did mention mr. ford( they guy who got arrested for killing ali and jenna) a few times through out the book so hes somehow tied into this mess. But Ali deff did not kill herself.....

I think here is my opinion: The well that Ali drew was in the hypnotist dream, right? Iris copied that. I'm guessing, Wilden just said the body was Ali's but it was really Leah's. And they faked the results. Ali's the girl in the basement, and Iris locked her up there for years because she was jealous or something because Ali was the more well known twin? And remember the two twins that lived down the street from Ali's house? I'm guessing that was maybe Iris and Leah, and they're all triplets or something.

Some of my theories (Some of which have been said): 1. Ali has a twin. 2. The twin was Iris's friend, Courtney. 3. That day the four Liars came over to Ali's to plan the sleep over and found Ali reading the diary and giggling--remember how Ali looked at them as if she didn't remember she invited them . . . or HADN'T invited them because she's NOT Ali, she's Ali's twin. Later, the real Ali comes down in different clothes then her twin. 4. That time Emily thought Jason was mocking Ali with the high-pitched voice was really her twin. 5. The two blondes Ian saw in the woods were Ali and her twin. 6. The twin is the one in the hole--Ali killed her. (Or the twin kiled Ali, but I think the first idea is better.) 7. The girl they saw in the forest was really Ali.

Of course she's not "Straight to the Point" but, don't you think Sara would try to fit the last name in the book somehow, to just, throw you off, to go, "WHAT? How could I have missed that? No way." yeah maybe.... its just that ali's last name goes back centuries(everyones does its passed from generation to gen.) before wilden was even born. i mean it might be a cool coincidence, but i don't think that there last name comes from the fact that darren was the killer. ok i still believe that their last name was always dilaurentis, but ali just never had a middle name. before she died, wilden wanted to leave a vague clue so he made them give her a middle name, lauren. he figured out once u took luaren out of dilaurentis, it reveals something. but it would take a smart mind(like you @imnotaliar!) to figure that out. :)

"courtney" could very well be ali's "twin" .. iris definitely isn't though, hanna would just know, even though she said they looked alike, she would definitely know if that was her twin. wilden put leah's body in the hold to pose as ali, and lied about the dna results. for some reason, i don't think that jenna is dead and the billy guy isn't the killer, and if he is, he's working for someone.

Ok so I'm thinking that this Courtney girl that Iris is so obsessed with is Ali's twin. That would explain why Iris drew a picture of a girl that looked exactly like Ali on the wall, and it would explain why Sara Shepard kept bringing up Iris's "Courtney obsession". As for Leah, I'm thinking maybe Courtney, Ali, and Leah were all triplets. That's kind of "out there" but it would make sense. Somehow Leah ended up with an Amish family and ran away with Wilden and THAT was who the girls saw in the woods. I'm pretty sure Ali was the one in the hole, dead. But who knows, with this Billy Ford character now in it, anything is possible. I just can't wait for the next book...

@I'msuchaliar. Still, I agree with you, but I think that they very well could have changed their last name. It is possible, very well possible. I mean, I changed my last name. It can be done. And it take A LOT of money to do it. So Wilden helped by loaning some money to them. The parents didn't know why though, only Jason. He expected Jason to pay him back, he proboblay said he would, and when he didn't, he got mad and killed Ali. Saying,"I killed her before, it wasn't hard to kill her a second time." That's what I believe. I know it seems," Out Of This World" crazy, but it could be very well possible. ANYWAYS, you are very smart too, I'msuchliar, great minds think alike. @Anna In Heartless, Emily goes to the Amish country and meets a girl named Lucy Zook who had a sister named Leah who disappeared and Emily thought it was Leah in the hole. Aria was talking to Noel,(T.R.B.) and he said he knew a medium, so they went to meet her and she starting talking in Ali's voice, Aria asked who killed her, and she said,"Ali killed Ali". Spencer found out that her dad was having an affair with Mrs. Dilaurentis, and Spncer is a half sister with J. and A. she also found out that Olivia isn't her mother, but is the woman who gave birth to her. (I forget what they are called I think a sperm doner.) and Hanna was sent to the Addison-Steven facility because her dad thought she was crazy

and in the facility she met a girl named Iris, who she thought was SO cool. Iris claimed she had eating problems, that's why she was in the facility. Hanna lied and said that was why she was there too. Well, around the end Hanna started freaking out trying to find Iris so she could ask her a question about Ali. A nurse that saw her running called security. Hanna found Iris right when the security guards caught her. Hanna yelled"WHO ARE YOU" And Iris replied, "I'm Iris and I'm Fabulous" Hanna said, "Are you Ali" "Who's Ali, your dead freind" "Are you A" "What" Then the gaurds took her away. In the end Aria Spencer Emily and Hanna were all taken to the police sttion to be questioned cause people thought they killed Ali

ok you knowhow we havent seen maya for a while. well, she was friends with jenna(apparently they became bffs after breakup with emily)... do you think maybe ian and maya are working together in some form. in one of the books after ian was "dead" , police said they had a lead he was in california, where maya is from. Maya was gone for a while "getting away from the presss" but what if she was scheming with ian in cali??? also, when aria visits jason in killer and a dog attacks her, she sees 2 people walking away. maya has a bloodhound...vicious dog much??? before mona died maybe she gave maya all this secret info about ali and told her to continue the role of A. ian prob did with maya this so he could get revenge on jason for being mean at him for liking ali. plus maya already knew alot of secrets through emily......

These books are awesome, but soo confusing! I have no idea what to think, but I still think Darren Wilden, Melissa, and Maya all have something to hide. I think that Billy was stalking Ali, but I don't think he killed her. I dunno about Jenna, though. Having a random plumber guy kill them both seems like such a let down, I think the killer is still out there, and that the killer is the current A. I reckon that Leah girl was Ali's twin, and either her or Ali is the one they found in the hole. So the person that the girls saw after the fire was either Ali or Leah, who I think is her twin. That is my theory, anyway. Ooh, I have almost forgot about Iris, that freaky girl who was at that mental place with Hanna. What is up with her?? She has something to do with Ali's death (if she is dead...) I'm sure of it. Sorry this post is so long, I just finished 'Heartless' and I am full of questions and confusions. =)

Okay, I just read some of the theories and some of them make total sense. Lots of people think the same thing that I do, that Leah was Ali's twin. Oh my god. Something just clicked. Remember when Ali 'hypnotizes' the girls, it seems to work, and they go into a trance where they all see the same thing (I think it's a well or something that they see)! What's up with that?? Does she actually hypnotize them? And why? I think that might be the key to her disappearance. The hypnotizing. Remember when Hanna, Aria and Emily are in a weird trance put on them by Ali, Spencer and Ali fight, and it STILL doesn't rouse the other girls?? They must have been pretty deeply hypnotized! And why? And how?! I honestly think that when Ali hypnotizes them, THAT is the part of the story when something goes wrong. That is the key part. If we find out how and why Ali hypnotises them, we could find the crucial key to Ali's disappearance. What do you think about this theory, and my other one above?

Sorry about this, but I have another post. Remember in Heartless how Spencer picks up that Polaroid of Jessica DiLaurentis and says she is 'really pregnant'? As in huge? I think that might be because Ali, Iris and Leah were triplets. Ohhh, hang on, I've spotted a flaw in my own plan. Leah was a few years older then the other girls, I think. She used to go out with Darren, and she was that Lucy girl's OLDER sister. Lucy was the same age as Ali, so Leah would have been too old to be a triplet. Darn, there goes my theory... But I still think that Ali and Iris are related, twins even. Remember that Hanna even mistakes her for Ali at first. Not all twins are completely identical. The book says that Iris has a heart-shaped face, big blue eyes and Ali's laugh. Plus she knew Ali. She says so. Maybe the reason Iris was being so mean to Hanna was because she had read the magazine and thought that Hanna had killed Ali, her sister. Who knows?

Okay, new theory. This most likely doesn't matter any more, because Jenna is dead, but remember when A sent that picture saying 'Find out what's wrong with this picture or else.'? Well, the blonde in the picture was Jenna and the thing that was wrong with the picture was that not only was she with Ali, but she didn't have her glasses, cane, or guide dog! Does that mean that she got her sight back, and was faking blind (!!!) or that she was never blind in the first place?? (!!!!!!!!) What do you think?

life, she took Leah's, she only did it because she was scared, she pushed leah in the hole, where Ali's D.N.A. was still on the dirt, (Because of the cut on the back of her head, Ali was bleeding.) She ran from the hole and when Iris came back, she still saw a body in the hole, because it was dark she thought it was Ali, she cvered the hole with dirt from the woods, and left. Iris went home, and faked some eating problems, so she wouldn't have to stay hom with the guilt. Ali went to the Pocono's and lived in her house there for the rest of her life, Jason found her there, and she fled back to Rosewood, just in time for the fire. That's my theory hope you like it.

i think ali was a twin. i think leah was alis twin and that was the body found in the gazebo hole. i think officer wilden was dating leah and didn't really like her and was abusive. i think was going crazy in the woods the night ali went missing and then he and jason wanted to kill ian in the woods, but he got all fed up and killed leah thinking it was jason then thought it was his sister ali because she was going to meet ian in the woods but wilden didnt know it was her and dint want to be blamed so he put leahs body in the hole and forgot about it

maybe darren found out who A is, but A swore if his/her identity was revealed they would kill him. He works for A because if he didn't it owuld cost him his life . However, he occasionally drops hints like... "the dna results are alis" ( A just could have forced him to put out fake DNA(leahs) results before emily came), but A always contradicts him... hmmmmm also @imnotaliar, that is actually a believable theory that i totally would agree except for one MAJOR thing: ali "died" june 20th, the night of the sleepover, and leah died the night before, june 19th, so she couldnt have died the night of the sleepover, when all the girls were there and ali got in a fight with another blonde.

i def think that sumthings up w/ wilden, whether he's working w/ A or is being threatened by A, he's def hiding sumthing. I dont think he killed leah but he's trying to cover up sumthing about ian and the fire. Why wudnt he hav searched the woods more thoroughly? I also think that Ali's family is hiding sumthing. I don't think Ali is alive, and i highly doubt she had a twin, but in a book anythings possible. I love this series, the day pretty little liars book 1 came out i read the series, and every day the books come out i get it and read it with in 2 hours. I think Jenna was killed because she threatend to tell the girls what happend to Ali and Billy Ford was framed. The Jenna being Ali is interesting but wouldn't fit in the story that well because Ali was seen with Jenna before and after her accident. So unless Ali killed Jenna to pretend to be Jenna i doubt it. AHH! I want to read wanted :(

Yall are crazy!it is soo obvious who killed ali! duh shes not dead! what i think is that Wilden and Jason killed that one chick who looked like ali so that everyone would think it was her. they held her hostage and then tried to kill her when they burnt down spencers barn but she got away. when they realized she left they went to go get her again. makes perfect sense. and i dont believe Billy Ford did it cuz him and Mona werent connected anyway before she died. any Questions?

I really don't think Ali is dead. I really believe that it was someone else. But something has been bothering me for a long time. Why would Jason and Wilden want Ali dead? If she isn't dead then what are they doing to her? I think the new A really is Ali because the new A seems to be trying to tell them something, not trying to ruin their lives. I don't know. I just don't know.

Ok Ali is either like dead or alive I personaly think she might be dead but her ghost is still alive. If you read Heartless then this all makes since. But what the heck did Jenna do? What the heck? ok i just finished heartless and i have many theories and a few questions. ok first i definitely do not think that billy ford has anything to do with ali's murder or A. all the messages they get from A are so girly! and after they get messages from A they hear giggling so that cant be billy ford. also, i think that its leah zooks body that was found in the hole. i think that darren wilden was given the evidence and then lied and said it was ali but it was really the leah girl he killed. i think that iris has something to do with ali and the girl she was telling hanna about that is locked in the basement could possibly be ali. it doesnt really make sense.

@Cody. Yes, but no. We don't know if JASON and Ali were having sibling problems, it might be her twin. And Wilden, I don't know. I think he killed Ali because, I think the older man Ali was seeing was Wilden, Leah and Wilden had an affair and Ali was beggining to figure it out. He didn't want her to get mad at him, so he killed her, so I don't think Wilden would want Ali to be alive, or she would figure out about the affair. I am not saying that Ali and Wilden were dating and I am not trying to confuse anyone, so here we go. In none of the books does it say anything about any affair with Leah and Wliden and Ali or anything. That is just my theory. Thanks, take that to consideration, thanks!

Ok, let's try to find a way to make it more realistic. Ok, last name, picture, Jason and Wilden, hmm. OH, I GOT IT! (Hopefully) Jason and Wilden were ferinds and they are the same age, right. So, do you remember that writing in the yearbook, that Wilden wrote,"My offer still stands" well, Jason had found out that Ali was dating an older guy, not Wilden at this time, and he wanted her to stop before she got herself hurt,(Bigbrother little sister thing) Wilden said he would stop it. He did only he started going with Ali. Leah and him had the affair, Ali and Jason were fin ding out. He killed Ali, Jason saw, and somehow the last name fits in. Jenna, had a twin, that's what was in the picture, her TWIN, Jenna, died and her twin lived. Only Ali knew about the twin.

thanks guyss. ok so this isnt a theory, but its this scene i have in my head. Ok so you know how the girls get A notes(texts, IMs, handwritten...etc) welll ok so one of the girls(any would work, but lets just say Spencer) would be printing a paper from a computer lab. Just after their thing has printed, a note should print out saying "i see you"(or whatever) -A. Then the girl would freak out and spin around, but the bell should ring so theres a crowd piling out, and she can't see the suspect. wouldn't thatbe kinda cool?!

@I'msuchaliar. I would freak out! After I started reading this series I started hearing voices in my head saying,"Have you seen my mother?" And it was like a five year old girls voice, it sounds close to tears. I feel like I'm in Hanna's situation. Only, reverse. I'm mentaly insane(Like Iris, because we ALL know that she is, I mean, food problems my @$$!) and Hanna is going through a dificult time. So anyways, I'msuchalir, that would freak me out. @Cody. I agree. I know there was a couple of times that I said that it was not Leah's body in the hole, but I have a whole different now. If you scroll up some, you can find two REALLY long posts I made, the first one is what happened "that" night. And my second one is where AI am explaining to I'msuchaliar how Leah got into the hole. So, that's what it is. And I also think Ali was put in the mental hospital, BECAUSE she had a clone and couldn't take the pressure, her parents didn't want her to go INSANE!(Like Voices over there) and well, they din't tell Jason, and they left Rosewood. And he found out, and he went back to Rosewood, found clone Ali, captured her and she escapes met the girls and when yall passed out they took her again.

Also back in 7th Grade Phi Mona and Chassey always used to ask Ali and Spencer to play with them and stuff, and they would constantly get turned down. Thats my theory because i think Billy Ford might have been obsessed with ali but because he was, he would want her alive, i do think ali has a twin but i think Phi and Chassey are behind all of the new A notes and Jennas murder.

okay so i've kinda taken clues from the books and random things that grabbed my attention like i wrote this on the other blog but nobody would like listen to me: ...how a body was found in peaks pond. and then i read that when ali was hypnotizing them they all had a dream that ali fell down a really big well with giant plants hello a well was on alis flag and in heartless it says how spencer had random bruises and scratches on her arm like she got caught in a vine...vine! plants! i think spencer was there when ali was killed and tried to save her...and i think peaks pond has something to do with it but idk what.....

...when i say that naomi and riley found out i mean about her twin iris and how she is crazy and has some sort of multiple personality disorder and ali's mom asked if she had ever been bullied..i think she was referring to naomi and riley bullying her because they found out. i also think that ali's blackmail gave them the idea to blackmail the girls and be A( so i think they are A) also sara said that we've known A scince the beginning and we've known them scince the beginning. ALSO, iris says that someone dropped a girl off for two weeks and then never came back for her...well emily says that ali dissapeared for two weeks(then claimed to be in the poconos) but i think this is a connection as well as when i think it's aria goes to the poconos with ali adn while she's hiding she hears ali talking to her mom about how it's not fair and how it's a sad place and ali's mom says that it's what's best fro the family

...i think they're talking about sending iris away to the mental hospital that hanna later sees her in... and i think that either ali or leah is trapped in the basement of the mental hospital by iris but iris was the girl who was dropped off there and she's locking the other girl up because she is crazy and evil

also,to go along with my theory, i think that wilden is in cahoots with iris or ali or whoever is still alive because he is trying to figure out if leah is still alive, which is why he is not working hard on the case because he doesn't care about the killer or A he just cares about leah.whoever was in the fire wilden helped them escape (emily saw the cop car driving away). i think he was at the drugstore, but the prescrition was for iris not his dad, i think iris always needeed meds but her parents were embarrased and ashaimed of her, so they kept her a secret and put the meds under ali's name instead(like the ones aria saw)

also i think that the radley book that emily found was a vistiting book. i think that jason was the only one who could so to speak relate to iris i thik he had a hard time sending her away and he thought it was wrong which is why his parents made him see the shrink at the school.

also...again, i have always thought that maybe trista is iris or that trista had something to do with it but when i posted thiss on the other blog i just got told to shut up... i also think that there is something suspicious about thi adn chassey or whoever they are does anyone think it's weird that they have all these refrences to the poconos but nobody was ever smart enought to go there and look for clues. my guess is in wanted they are going to go up there aan find smething that will have everything make sence i mean they've been talking about the pocanoes since the beginnig so obviously they should see what's going on. i also have a sneaking suspicion that if ian is alive, that's where he's hiding and figuring out the truth

just like food for thought or whatever...sory i've kinda written a lot but idk if this is just a coincident or a clue or maybe sara just really likes wawa...but they mention wawa a lot in all of the books....... also you know how the order of girls on the cover is spencer, hanna, aria, then emily....well then the next books go spencer, hanna, then emily, and then aria...how come emily and aria are switched? do you guys think it means something or it's just a mess up or maybe they didn't even notice?please please please respond!

if ali were to come back... wow i would probably pee my pants. then i would probably really kill hear. i mean honestly who pretends to be dead than comes back after three years, after her four old best friends have practically gone crazy tying to figure out who murdered her, after they have faced threat after threat! and if she did come back i think, before i went ape crazy on her, i would ask her why? just as simple as that, why? she would definetly have some major explainig to do because there are sooooooooo many aspects to answering the question "why?". and i hope somewhere in that answer would be an "i'm sorry." and if she didnt say that she wouldnt even get a chance to finish explaining herself, i would ust walk away and probably not talk to her until she apoligized. i mean what kind of person would put three unsuspecting girls through such experiences.

I think that Leah was trying to escape from Wilden on the night of the fire at Spencer's house. She probably wanted to go back to Lanchester. I think Wilden started the fire, even though he claims he didn't. Ali probably had Leah as a twin, and if there was 2 Ali's Jason would get so overwhelemed with them getting all the attention, he had to go to the Mental Institution. This may sound stupid , but don't hate children , its just my theory...and its probably wrong.

Mez theroy is that leah's body is in the hole and that Iris may b linked 2 alis death because i think she was also in the same mental hospital as jason 4 a while so she may have done some crazy things to ali..... i think wildon also had somthing really big to do with alis death also and that Ian was trying to stop him but wildon made sure that in the future he would b put in jail so thats why he became a police officer.

I don't want to be like Wilden, but I want to be a detective not a cop. Though there may not seem like the a big difference, there is a HUGE difference. Yes we both get to arrest people and take a person to court and all that delicious stuff. But detectives also get to work on MURDER cases. And they have the hard job of telling the family of the deseaced, and, SOMETIMES they get to meet CELEBRITIES! YES! Anyways, K gotta go bye!

so! new theory! so iris and jason dated. jason used to talk about ali alot and how much he hated her while he was at the radley. then ali had to come to get him one day and then iris became TOTALLY obsessed with ali. so then iris went to another mental hospital and met iris and iris immediately knew who she was and they became besties but iris and jason were still together but then jason broke up with her.

so he met Alis mom one night to talk to her about the twin thing and what they would say to Ali about it.but they ended up making out instead. and then ali saw them on her way to meet ian in the woods. but then she ran into Iris who escaped from the hospital and had a new boyfriend (Darren) and they were going to kill her because Iris blamed her for her and jasons breakup.

but then Darren saw Ian and they were enemies and he ran to beat him up but said you can either help us kill her or die yourself so then Ian chooses to kill her and helps but jason saw Ali and them and as we all know hated Ali for being perfect and helped to kill her as well. but when Darren ran to Ian Iris and Ali started fighting(the two blondes fighting in the woods) So then they all helped to kill her and throw her in the hole.

also, kiyleeee, i really like your theory especially the part about spencer being her twin! it made a ton of sense to me cuz like what if the thing with olivia went wrong so then spencers dad decided to adopt spencer because she was in fact his and maybe leah was olivia's or something but then she put her up for adoption and the amish family took her and payed more money than spencer's family would or something...idk just thinking out loud here...but i really like your theory:)

Is Ali is alive, who's body was it ? In the book it said that Leah was a girl who was amish and looked exactly like Ali, maybe Wilden killed her and placed her body in the place where they found "Ali". And then Ali who is alive, ran of cause she told Emily she wanted to.. Ok, I think -A stands for Admierer. Because if someone wants to leave an anynomuys present for their crush then they would sign a note saying -A(dmierer). I think Chassey, phi, and Billy Ford were all -A and they were working together. I think this because, Chassey and Phi looked up to Ali, but , well, then she died, and she treated them quite cruely. In one of the books, they said that Chassey culd hack into computers, and that Phi really fast. So, Phi would put itmes in places since she was the fastest, Chassey would hack into computers and send e-mails, and Billy would go around getting more dirt to send to people. That's what I think.
