A KILLER in our midst!

Hey guys! Spring is almost upon us...which means a new PLL for you! KILLER's release date is approaching soon-- June 30!-- and in my humble opinion, it's TOTALLY worth the wait. The book starts with a bang and closes with an enormous shocker, and I can't wait to hear what you guys think!

In other news, I'm proud to announce that my adult novel, THE VISIBLES, is going to be released this Tuesday, May 5. Read the first chapter


A couple things you need to know about it, if you're interested:

1. It's NOT a series, but a standalone book
2. It'll be on the adult shelves, but it's about a young character...and totally, lovably readable. (I think, anyway.)
3. I would love it if you bought it and told me what you think! :)

But whether you check out THE VISIBLES or KILLER (or both!), there will be plenty of summer beach reading from chez Sara Shepard. And stay tuned for KILLER clues...the wait is almost over!

Yay number 12!! i didnt even hear about these books till i went to stop and shop and saw it there i was going on vacition the next day and decided to get it thinking it was going to be bad but then i loved it the only bad part was i started off with the second book not the first so when i got back i went to the book store and got the first one and the two others then pre ordered tht rest

omg, can you put the first chapter or killer up? or will that ruin it? i would love to see it, but if it will wreck the start, i can wait! but i love your series i am totally obsessed with it, i have read every single one at least 2 times, and i love them all and own them all! it is so excitting to get a new one that you havent read and have the chance to read it, i love to get into a good book and just read it, its awesome and a good feeling once you finish it, every single one of your books has given me that, THANK YOU! keep writing, i love your books!

OMG!!! I just read the first part of Killer, it was amazing like i loved it. I have a few things though. It said all the girls ended up in the backyard and they heard Ali saying stop and someone repeating her and then a crash or something..I wonder what that could have been about, maybe Jason was taking her piece of the flag?? maybe Jason was doing the same thing Toby did to Jenna?? i'm not sure.. And also when Hanna was leaving, she said there was a black car and wondered if she had seen it before. The only person i remember who had a black car was Mona and i think it was a van or something but not a car..I wonder!! and maybe Ali does have a twin, or but something is very weird about the fact they all ended up at Ali's house to steal a piece of her flag and then Ali, Namoi and Riley had a fight and now the four people that had tried to steal a piece of her flag were then her friends...idn curious to me (;

I love the Pretty Little Liars! I think Jason, Ali's brother has to do something with her missing. in Wicked they kept giving hints about him. Does anyone know why Killer didn't come out in April like it was suppose to? Well, can't wait for June!

the car that hannah recongized was the same car jason got into after he and Ian got into the argument the day of the time capsule. I think he wanted Ian and Melissa to break up and forced Ali to flirt with Ian in order for him to break up with Melissa, but i don't know why. I also thinks Ali's "older" boyfriend wasn't Ian, but Darren Wilden. Or maybe Jason and Darren were in a relationship since he is the one who owns the black car waiting down the street from him. CAN'T WAIT FOR JUNE 30TH!

Remember at Ali's funeral Hannah (or Emily i don't completely remember) said that she saw a black car and someone was in it with "familiar, blonde" hair in it. I wonder does that have anything to do with anything...

I love the first part of Killer!!!!! Awesomely Awesome. Oh and ya the car Hanna saw and she said she thought she saw it somewhere before I do think it is Jason’s because of the comments. First because I think it was the forth book when Emily saw a black car drive away and she said she saw blue eyes and blond hair kinda like Ali’s. And then when Ali and Jason had that fight about Ian and he drove away in his black car. And maybe char is right, maybe Jason wanted Ian and Melissa to break up so Jason told Ali to flirt with Ian to got Ian and Melissa to break up. My guess is if Jason did that then maybe he wanted to date Melissa or maybe Melissa and Jason had a thing and they killed Ali together and then Ian cause he figured it out???? Hmm... let me know what you guys think Mwah-Melissa Xoxo

I totally think "NONY REMEMBERS" is on to something! I totally forgot about that! And yeah, the twin thing, i agree, BUT, i think Spencer's the twin. Do you remember Emily's date with Issac? She said Ali, and Spence had the same horoscopes. You never know, Spence could get a text saying her mom is Mrs.Dilaurentis. THAT would be... wow. And maybe that's why she started talking to them, to get closer Spencer. But idk... I hope I'm wrong cause want to be SHOCKED, but even if thats true, I'm sure the true secret of Ali's death will make my jaw slap the ground! Your amazing Sara! Muah!

Omg. I read the whole series in 5 days and i cannot wait for Killer to come out. I REAALLLYY want to find out who killed Ali, if it really was Ian or not, who the second A is, and why is she/he still tormenting the girls. Also, Aria needs to tell her mom about Xavier, because he is NO GOOD. Ohmigawd. I cannot wait any longer. I NEED THE NEXT BOOK. XOX

OMG!!! that is so awesome that you found that summery of Killer Linsey that is soo suspenceful. I know who they are talking about when it said "And Aria’s blossoming relationship with someone she’s had a crush on for years" It's JASON!!! ARIA IS GOING TO BE GOING OUT WITH JASON!! that's crazy cause she has had a crush on him forever...maybe Jason tells Aria something about Ali that can bring them closer to who A is and if she is really dead or not..or even better some juicy secrets about Ali the girls never knew before. I love, love, love these books! I want Ezra to come back and stephanie Aria's texts from A are not lame they got her kicked out of her house and sean broke up with her and called the police on Ezra! And alot more, but it would make sense if she was A because she was always a loner and might want payback or something.

Doesn't that make you think Ian's body is gone, and if it is where the hell did he go? Domonick-thanks for the link :) Also, just had an idea about the body... Maybe it was like a wax figure? Like, Ian is still alive (but somehow managed to break his house arrest so he could disappear), but A got hold of a wax dummy thing and manipulated it to look exactly like Ian would if he'd died a violent death? Cuz if the first chapter is called The Girl Who Cried Dead Body... to me that is like the story of the girl who cried wolf and then when she really did see a wolf no-one believed her... Maybe Spencer inadvertently called for the cops on a fake body, not knowing it was fake? Then maybe Ian and A were working together to scare the girls... Just to manipulate them a bit further? Probably total nonsense but does anyone else think this may have happened?

Wow SJ that is a great thought i would have never guessed that! Oh or maybe Ali's body was a wax doll and she cut her hair and stuck it to the wax doll...Oh or even better that is what Jason was doing to Ali when he was mimicing her and she was saying stop, maybe be was trying to cut her hair for the wax doll but Ali didn't want him to and their mom walked in and maybe Jason through the sisors and that was the smash and then he left? I have know clue but you never know right? (: let me know what you guys think!

Such amazing books. Here's my BIG PITCH: -Ali has a twin. That'd explain the shirt change in one of the books. That's also explain how Jason was talking to someone who sounded like Ali, but Ali & her mom were on the porch. & Jason killed Ali because he never knew about the twin. & then the other twin didnt take Ali's place because they could be told apart. It'd also explain why they moved. & why Jason said his family's "messed up" & has "simbling issues" not related to him.

emm... I don't think there could've been a fake body for Ali, it says in one of the first two books she was decomposed... Besides, that would mean she had had a part in faking her own death and considering that she seemed to lead a pretty charmed life, it's hard to know why she might've done so.. But anyway I'm not sure that a wax body could decompose, even after years buried in the ground. That idea was actually provoked after a comment someone made at school lol...

Well i think there was a fake body because Ali wanted to fake her death so that she could torment the girls, why, i have know clue but maybe, it was just a thought i never said i know for sure it was just a guess.. I do now think that Ian is dead but i'm not to sure about Ali. I think Ian is dead cause he texted Spencer when he was in the woods saying something like i know what they are hiding (i can't remember but it was something in those terms). I think what he ment was that he knew what the police were hiding in the Ali case and he wanted Spencer to come so he could prove it but A got to him first and killed him so that he couldn't tell Spencer what they were hiding.. I think what the police are hiding is that Ali is alive and Ian figured it out so A had to kill him! (i got some of these thoughts from Mel-Locke so i can't take all the credit)

u never know its not the first time someone has talked to me about Ali and spencer being related, i think sara is more creative than that if they are related there is gona be some kind of twist. i dont think ian killed Ali i also think A is Wildon mayb? idk, cuz when Emily and Issac went sledding wilden was there and he had his fone out, then she got a message from A and he was gone... just a theory tell me if u agree or im just crazy! ergggggggggggg i cant wait any longer y cant killer just come out now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hello! Just by reading the first chapter of Killer I'm thinking that Aria is Ali's killer not Ian..IDK may Aria is A too?Just thinking about it, Aria's text messages are the least harsh..Maybe Kate? she kinda did talk to Alison, she could've teamed up with Mona when she was alive.=[

I am not to sure about Officer Widen being the one who killed Ali or Ian for that matter, I agree with Dahlia that Sara is clever so Officer Widen seems to suspichious to me so my guess he seems so "weird" right now but in the end it will turn out something like "oh the reason i was acting all weird was cause i'm not a cop, i'm Ali's real dad" lol the would NEVER happen but it's just an example of how it will probably turn out (: I am kinda weirded out about Kate, i think maybe the person she was on the phone with was just probably Namoi or Riley or who knows maybe Ali!! they were close right!!

Ya i am pretty sure Aria is not Ali and i mean what is with everyone saying that Aria's therts from A were nothing! She got sent pictures of her and Ezra in his class makeing out and stuff and then A sent the photo's of Ezra and her to Sean and they broke up! Then A got Aria's mom agents her cause of the letter that said her dad was cheating on her mom and then that picture of her and Xavier that was never sent to her mom but to her! So don't say nothing ever happened to Aria cause DUHH!! stuff did. Anywho ya Officer Wilden has like nothing to do with it i just think that he knows what the thing the police are hiding and he is trying to protect Ali's family! WOW LUVS THESE BOOKS!!!

CANT WAIT FOR KILLER!!!! I think that in Killer Aria is going to go out with Jason and that hes gonna reveal some secrets to her about Ali or his family. Also since on the summary of Killer it said that Hanna was going to go out with a sophmore, i think she is going to go out with Mike Montgomery, Aria's brother. And i think Spencer is adopted and is somehow related to Ali or Jenna. Maybe she Ali's ytwin, they have the same horoscope and they were very muvh alike. it would also explain why Ali said she had sibling problems, since spencer and her fought alot.As for Emily , well i think that she will stay with Isaac. I dont think that Ali is dead, the police never did any DNA test. And i think that Officer Wilden is up to something. As for A i think its maybe Naomi, Riley or Jenna. Maybe Kate but i dont see why. Cant wait for KILLER!! JUne 30th! love your books Sara, keep writting!

SAra, Please please please please please please times one million make a movie out of these books... i live in tennessee and ever girl at my school totally got hooked on these books from me lol... i think i loaned everyone out just trying to find someone to talk to about this crazy insane So exciting twist lol...... JUST PLEASE MAKE A MOVIE!!!!!! PLEASE!!! i promise you will make a Killing with the movie... just slap all the books together and make a long true to the book movie.... i don't like them movies that are totally opposite of the book.... just base this straight to the book! IT WOULD SERISOULY TICKEL ME PINK!!!!! one more time PLEASE PLEASE DO IT!

Did anyone ever think that maybe A was at the benifit at Spencers house? I was thinking that maybe Ian texted Spencer when he was in the woods because he either knew what the police were hiding in Ali's murder or he knew how Ali died.. So i think A was at the party and when Ian texted Spencer, A either saw the message from Spencer or heard about it and so when Spencer was deciding to get the police or not, A snuck out of the party, killed Ian and then started heading back to the party but then when the 3 girls went to find Spencer and Hanna fell, Hanna saw A and A told her to be quit and then disipeared but really A just wne back to the party!! So when the girls came back to get Officer Widen, A snuck out of the party again and moved the body so the police would think they are crazy!! CAN'T WAIT FOR KILLER!!! 15 MORE DAYZZ (:
