Watch For Sara Shepard On TV!

Pretty Little Liars author Sara Shepard is about to make her television debut in PLL episode 7, "The Homecoming Hangover." Read Part I of our Q&A with Sara below. Then make sure you tune in Tuesday, 7/20 at 8/7c on ABC Family to catch Sara's PLL cameo!

PLL.com: Tell us about the character you play on the show. Can you give us a hint about the scene you're in?

Sara: I play a teacher at Rosewood High school. That’s about all I can say for now! ;) I wrote on the blackboard and had a scene with one of the lovely characters. I only have a couple of lines, but it was exciting all the same!

PLL.com: Were you nervous?

Sara: I was a little nervous at first . . . when we went to rehearse, my heart was racing and I felt a little light-headed. But after that, I settled down. I realize everyone who actually works as an actor always says this, but you kind of forget the cameras are there. It’s not as if you’re speaking into them. At the same time, I don’t know how actors and actresses control their facial expressions and emotions so expertly! It’s truly a talent. I had no idea what my face was doing. Sometimes they kept the camera on me long after I spoke, and I was like, uh, should I be emoting or something? I felt like I was standing there like a log.
