Crushes are the best! And the worst!

I should know. I get silly around boys I like. Don’t even ask me about how nonstop-giggly I was when Zoey introduced me to Shia LaBoeuf! I’m blushing just thinking about it! Which is why I think it’s so cool in Zoey’s new book TALENT when Emily sneaks into a party just to see her celeb crush, Davey Woodward. I would be waaaaay too shy!

Zoey thinks I’m being silly. She swears that stars are just like you and me, except they get free Marc Jacobs. Problem is, even the most confident girl gets goofy when she’s crushing. And then it’s bye, bye, confidence! According to Zoey, hanging out with a star crush is all about being confident, and treating him or her like a friend. (She swears it works every time!) Here’s how to get your star-game on:

1. Smile. Everyone likes to be around positive people. (Works with non-movie stars, too.)


2. Scent yourself. Even if it’s as simple as Burt’s Bees honey scented chap stick. (My fave!) We are all more confident when we smell good. (A good rule to live by!)


3. Talk about your interests. A-listers are used to everyone wanting to know about their red-carpet lifestyle. It’s fun to be around people who don’t want to talk about movie deals and box office scores. Plus, when you are interested, you are interesting. If you are passionate about soccer, talk about that! If you just read a good book (like TALENT, wink wink) let `em know!


4. Big duh, but...don’t ask a celebrity about his or her movie right away! (See above.)
