Having the Best Time Ever!

Hi Everyone!
It’s good to be back. I’ve missed you! Zoey and I have been crazy busy, with traveling, parties, and TALENT. To those who came to our LA event at Barnes & Noble—thanks a mil. It was great to meet you. Wish I had time to write to everyone personally.
Part of why this summer has been a blast is because I went to so many parties. It got me thinking…Why are some parties great and others are just…TORTURE?
It’s simple: The secret to having a great time is having low expectations. I don’t mean that you should aim to have a bad time. But I used to go to parties hoping it would be THE GREATEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE. Well, guess what? That’s like asking to fail. Because it's really hard to have the greatest night of your life.
This summer, every time I went to a party, I gave myself a really small goal: have a nice time talking to one person. That’s really easy to do. And when you show up with a laidback, casual attitude, people pick up on that and you wind up talking to EVEN MORE cool people.
It works for school, new jobs, new clubs...just about everything. Aim to have a decent time with one person. Start from there. It's all about baby steps.
What about you? Have you ever been to a bad party? How’d you survive it? Oh, and how is school going? Updates, please!
