Hey Anna!! I'm so happy that the book is finally released! But I can't get it right away because i live in hong kong and there has been a delay): But i ordered my copy and the staff in the store will call me when it arrives. Anyway, I can't wait for it!!!!!! I don't think i will be able to put it down once i started reading it! Any info about your next book? Looking forward to it(:

I am sooo excited! I just bought a copy of Splendor, but I have to get through my exam tonight before I can start reading it. It's killing me! Thank you so much for what I know will be a great ending to this amazing series.

Hey Anna! I really wanna get all 4 books! I asked my parents but they said that if I want them I have to save up my money to buy them!! I would do anything to save up money to get all 4 books. im known to spending a LOT of money. hahhaha. i even entered the sweeptakes to win all 4 books. it would be a dream come true if i won!!! Oh I wish soo much to win :) YOU ARE THE BEST AUTHOR EVER ANNA!!! I really hope that movies come out for the series, and I reaaalllyyy wish that a 5th book comes out! YOU ARE THE BEST ANNA!

I wish today could be a day of splendor. It was a humid, warm, and rainy florida day today here in Tallahassee, but not ONE bookstore in this town has the book available. I went all over town. A perfectly great book day is wasted :(. I was so looking forward to reading the book. I did not purchase it online because I did not want to have to wait for shipping to read it and I end up having to wait! You should get harper collins on this supply chain mess. Borders isn't going to have it in for a week or two. Barnes and Noble said it would be at least three to four more business days. Books-a-million doesn't even have it in their computer system at their store. Target does not have the book in stock either. I think its slightly weird that NONE of them have it. I could see if one of the stores sold out or one is getting them on the next truck. All of them though?!

OMG!!! i really want the book so i did A BUNCH OF chores and finshed my homwork and also studied for my test soo hopfully my mom lets me go to the store today! ( saved my own money too!) this will be the splender part of my day if mom lets me go.

Hey there, I''m an avid reader of your books, I just bought and finished reading the latest and the greatest of the books (Splendor) I was surprised by the ending, and hopefully not giving away anything by saying this but I was a tad disappointed, but in all else it was a great book. Fantastic writing, you by far are my favorite author. Your writing style has actually inspired me to begin writing short stories. I'm looking forward to your writing in the future. I pre-ordered mine and usually the books come that day, anyways the cover is to die for and it will be my screen saver when one big enough is downloadable. I'd love to hear your thoughts on other Young Adult books set in the same 1890's time that your is. Such as the Gemma Doyle Trilogy, I know it's way different but I can see some great discussions coming from bringing the two books together

i loved the first three so much. but i was so disappointed with the last five pages. i wished that you could have given one of the characters the ending they hoped for. but other than that it was really good. i just was very sad with the ending.

I just finished the book, and I have to say that I was very disappointed with the ending. I had such high hopes, and only one person ended up happy! I can't say that I will ever read these again because it leaves me with such a sick feeling.

I kept waiting for the happy ending that I thought for sure was just right around the corner. Then I finished Splendor, and I wanted to cry. The ending was beautifully written, I especially loved the sailing away on a boat that was referred to at the beginning and end and that eventually the old family names wouldn't matter, but after waiting for a happy ending that never came, I am so sad. Elizabeth and Teddy's story was precious though. But, even though I thought the ending was great, I can't help feeling like Dumbledore died all over again. If the series were continuing or if there had been an epilogue of H and D meeting again someday, I would have loved it.

The Luxe series is one of my favorite series of all time. I was home sick yesterday and my dad bought me Splendor to cheer me up. I stayed up all night reading it. The first part was really great! I thought that the Snowden twist was really unexpected. I was a bit dissapointed with Henry and Diana's re-unitment in Cuba. Even though I've never really liked Carolina that much, I was really happy for her and Leland. Then the ending made me very upset. Why did you do that? I'm sure that you had a very good reason, and as a dissapointed reader I would really like to know why you ended this beautiful series with a sad ending. Atleast Liz and Teddy got a happy ending, but that's it. Also is Keller a boy or a girl?

I finished reading Splendor last night. I have to say it was an amazing book. It really kept me guessing. It made me smile, cry, and a tad angry sometimes. The ending was very unexpected, but I do understand it that it had to happen that way because people change and experience new things. Although I hoped the ending wouldn't be so unexpected, I can't say I didn't love the book. I think I will continue on the story of the characters in my head hahaha. I still wish it wasn't the last though. I will miss Henry, Diana, Elizabeth... even Penelope surprisingly.

Also, you said in a post that you missed the way your characters were from the Luxe, and I agree. As I was reading it last night, getting towards the end, I wished that they were all the same. But then I realized that it would make for a boring book if they didn't change. But thank you for four books of obsession of fictional characters, and love for the boys who are also fictional characters, but I wish really existed. Also, I cannot wait to read more stories by you. :)

Gals chill! You know I haven't been able to get my hands or should I say eyes on Splendor because I don't have the money right now, but when I do,OH BOY!I've noticed people commenting that the ending was unexpectable,surprising, and disappointing,please don't kill my buzz,girls. I have to say this was the most depressing books series ever, the two main people i wanted to know what happened too, well now i know! that was a bullet to the chest there relationship went nowhere and im depressed for those two, i kind of got the vibe from *blank* that he wasnt as excited to see *blank* after months(dont want to give spoilers) i kind of knew that it would not end good for them and it didnt. lina ehhhh didnt like her that much, i didnt bother reading about her but yea sometimes life isnt about happy endings but you cant help but hope that somebody in the world gets there life time wish in this book ehhhh nobody did. but good for liz and teddy not my favorite characters but it was okay

SPOILER ALERT! I personally loved how Splendor ended. I was going to be sooooo mad if Teddy and Elizabeth didnt end up together but they did and im sooooooooo happy about that! oh and snowden always seemed like a creeper to me anyways and i was hoping he would die. i loved what happened to Penelope, thought it was hysterical!!!!!!!!!! I agree with what you did with Henry and Diana........they were just never meant to be husband and wife. Henry grew up and Diana was too adventurous. and im glad that Carolina didnt end up with Leland and im glad that her secret was finally revealed to the public. i never really liked her, i liked how she wanted to prove that anybody could be in society but i think she went about it all wrong.

oh just wanted to say I LOVE TEDDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! henry might have been a little better looking but he was a player. But Teddy is perfect!!! hes a gentleman but he also has a little bit of a bad side too. hes also loyal to his family and friends no matter what. Im soo glad that him and elizabeth ended up together......i thought they should ever since Will died.

I enjoyed this book until the very end. I was so dissapointed that Diana and Henry did not end up together. It was just so sad being that they had so many ups and downs that they couldn't have a happy ending together. I was also dissapointed that Lina didn't have any scenes with Elizabeth. I had hoped they'd finally tell eachother off or something. I also felt that Lina didn't deserve to end up rich. I really did enjoy all the books but this final one did leave me unsatisfied. I do hope Anna writes a fifth book and bring Diana/Henry back together.

Spoilers: The only couple I really wanted to end up together didn't so I'm so devastated. I didn't feel everyone got what they deserved. Lina lost Leland but she's still rich and has her sister. Penelope doesn't have love but she basically still has Henry. Elizabeth got Teddy but they were the least interesting. It's hard to believe that Diana would leave Henry if she truly loved him and he tried so hard in this one. If it were another couple I'd understand but not this one. This was a good series but I almost wish I didn't read them had I known the ending would be so unsatisfying for me. Anna, I hope you write another one to unite Henry and Diana!!!! I'd like Lina to get what she really deserves too. Please!!!

SPOILERS TOO: just finished splendor, it was amazing....until diana said no to henry! I feel so unsatisfied! Another book really wouldn't work i think because there are endings to all of the characters; i did find teddy and elizabeth the most interesting in this book, even though i love diana and henry! HATE PENELOPE! Felt somewhat bad for carolina, though she was so mean to Elizabeth and Diana! Despite the ending to Diana and Henry, overall LOVE THE ENTIRE LUXE SERIES!!!!!

This book had me in tears because I have become very invested in the characters and after sleeping on it, I still have a feeling of unrest and sadness. I really hated the way the book ended. I guess I understand the thought process but it seemed like such an abrupt decision and change of heart that it really caught me by surprise. It is devastating to me that H and D don't end up together after all they have been through and I find it hard to believe that he would become so interested in the idea of a traditional life during the course of one week. I have to admit it would have been unusual if Diana would have all of a sudden decided to stay as it was obvious that in her heart she really wanted to go. I am happy for Lizzie and I am thrilled for Teddy. The resolution with Lina was pretty good too and I am glad Claire finally gets brought into the fold! Overall, I did really like the series I just feel a little heartbroken about Henry and Lady Di!

i refuse to finish the book even though i probaly will. I only have one chapter left so i might as well but I just was not ready for that. i wanted it to end all happy since it was the last book and i will say, for me, it didn't end up as good as the others. It was mainly just because of the ending but otherwise i loved it. I really do hope there is another one so everything can turn out ok

I just finished Splendor. Will you be putting any extras or deleted chapters on your web page. I really would love to know more about what happenned to Diana after the end of the book. Her story is the one that seems the most unfinished. I was disappointed that she didn't end up with Henry in the end. I would really like to see her happy ending, she is such a wonderful character.

I have read the Luxe books from the time they have come out and followed everything that has happened and have been happily waiting for the last book to hopefully tie up loose ends and give some of the characters a happy ending. What can I say? I am shocked, angry, and disappointed. And really I think the majority of people who have read it have been. I have read and re-read the other books but I will never pick up a Luxe book again. Thinking about them brings me no joy anymore. And I really don't think I will read anymore of your books if they keep you hoping and hanging on for years and then suddenly change at the end of the conclusion. I don't mean to be melodramatic but I feel totally lost after reading Splendor. Verdict: total disappointment.

Dear Anna, After I read Splendor, I felt a little dissapointed with D & H not being together. I then realized that Henry had such a weak personality and a weak personality doesn't match up with a strong character. The whole Elizabeth and Teddy thing was very sweet. Lina reunited with her sister and told Leland Bouchard the truth. However, I was always sad that Will had died because he was so perfect for Elizabeth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just finished the books, and I miss the characters already. This series has presented a rollercoaster of emotions as a reader and Splendor was no exception. I too am heartbroken over Henry and Diana, but I understand why they story ended the way it did. Even though they are not together, they got what they wanted. Diana finally escaped the constraints of society; and Henry finally has control over his own life. I was happy to read of Elizabeth and Teddy's outcome. It was also nice to see Penelope and Lina pay the price for their actions. Although I did feel sorry for Carolina when the truth came out, she got the better life she dreamt about. Loved the series Anna. Can't wait for what's next.

Okay, so i just finished reading splendor. I know a lot of people feel as dissapointed with the ending as I do. But the reason why I was confused was because I dont think that it was a strongly motivated ending. It was just so sudden and unexpected, and the way that Henry were together at the end also made me puzzled. Although I found that the Snowden twist was very well done! It left me on the edge of my bed, and Im glad that Teddy got his happy ending. I know that life doesnt exist without tragdy and loss, but somehow it makes me think that being a romantic is kind of pointless, and no one will ever be with the one they want that truely want them back. Not to say that this book wasn't well done, because it was. It was just unexpected, but we can't always acheive what we hope for. It was beautiful and heart breaking, and pushed my emotions, which is what a novel should end up doing in a way. Thank you Anna, for putting your heart into this novel.

Dear Anna, You broke my heart. These books are the most amazing I've ever read, and when I hear people compare them to pieces of trash like Twilight, I get angry. You most definitely should write another book...I will be waiting for the day to make me happy again, and I will be eternally depressed until it happens. So you know. Although the ending was tragically beautiful, I was of course devastated and cried my eyes out. Now for one negative, I was upset that Diana and Elizabeth had almost no connection to each other near the end. I had hopes throughout the books that they should become better friends...but alas. I will be following anything else you may write, and hope that time comes upon us quickly :)

The quote "True love always wins" is supposed to be true. But in your books it ISNT!! write another book so that henry and diana can some how get back to gether. everyone is starting to hate the books because diana and henry arent together. if they became husband and wife and the end then your book would be loved my many many many readers.

Now, I'm wondering. Did Diana and Henry truly love each other? Because if they did, they would have been with each other no matter what. Or is it that they are both such stubborn characters? Henry promised that he wouldn't make all of those mistakes with Diana again..but he did. He let her go. In the next book(ahem) Henry needs to go after her, like Diana did for him in Envy/Splendor. She'll never get over him! That is truth in my mind.

Liz and Teddy are meant to be together even though in RUMORS I was depressed for a month missing Will and wishing and wishing DI and Henry just RUNNNNNN away together because their love is that deep! thankyou for another mazing book. but just like EVERYONE else I am super unsatisfied. Keeping Diana and Henry apart was appalling, but then putting him with Penelope was just an absolute slap in the face. Why would you give a fresh start to a character like Penelope who is so low, and yet rip apart the love story of Henry and Diana? It makes me quite angry to think that purely spiteful jealousy-fueled and vindictive characters like Penelope are left fulfilled with everyone they've ever wanted, yet Henry is left heartbroken and hollowed. RARRRRRRRR.

Well I loved all the books just like all of you. And people complained about the ending which I dislike to. What really got under my skin was that Diana calls Henry her first love then says she'll love other men for different reasons. Well that makes her sound like a (something I won't say). She leave's Henry just because she cares about what other people think and dosen't even care that he loves her and has done so much for her. He's tried so hard and it was a failing attempt. She was my favorite person in the books no she's the worst in my opinian. Lina had it coming to her, Liz finally got that happy ending, Penelope gets her heart broken and see's how it feels. But I guess I always thought true love would proveil, I would've loved the ending if Diana hadn't left of her choosing. Hopefully another book will come and reunite those lovers and things will go right. The ending reminds me of the Phantom of the Opera where he let's her go and she goes. No matter his feelings.

Anna , i am ... Beyond heartbroken and disgusted ... Yes, i feel that Diana did the right thing with Henry: a clean break . But you also have to see that . They went through so much . And are not even together ... Which is a big deal . Another book would be amazing . I know that for me ... I just want them together . Henry did not want anything else in this world besides Di . And She needs to realize that . He was wiling to give up everything . And I think that is what should happen if you make another book . She wanted to see Penny hurt . And She would have gotten it . So Anna . Please that was the worst ending in history . and we all need another read about them coming back together. i know for me they were the only reason i read these books.

Oh, Anna...I sincerely hope you will write at least another book in the series. Diana and Henry's relationship should totally get a reprieve. Their romance was the first to spark such a fervor in me in such a long time.

I loved the book. I really did. Even though the ending was unexpected. Maybe someday those two people will be reunited and get their happily ever after with each other, but right now, they are off to experience new things. Also two questions for Anna. How did you come up with your characters name? Does their meaning have anything to do with it, or were they just names you like? And did you have the ending for the series planned out from the beginning or did it just fall into place as you were writing?

I recieved Splendor yesterday, and have already finished it. I of course was saddened by the end of Diana and Henry's relationship, but in the end I guess it had to happen. I see so much of myself in Diana, and I would have loved her to be with Henry, but alas it was not meant to be. Although I am happy for Elizabeth and Teddy. Ever since Will died I wanted them to be together. As for Penelope, I wish something worse happened to her like Henry divorcing her anyways. Then for Lina I guess I'm satisfied with the outcome. It's sad that things didn't work out for her with Leland, but she got the wealth that she wanted. And anyways if Diana and Henry never get back together, I thought that it would be interesting if Leland and Diana did. Overall an amazing ending to a very emotional series. The ending may have left a sad lump in my throat, but it also shows that love isn't everything because you need to know yourself before you can give yourself to someone else completely.

First off I want to tell you that I LOVE your books!! :) I think your a great writer and I couldn't wait to read Splendor, I waited months, and now I have just finished it I am Although I was upset that Henry and Diana never got to be together in the end, and he will probably go on and be with Penolope, I am SO happy with how you finished Elizabeth's story! I'm glad her and Teddy are going to be togther and in the last two books she became my favourite! I felt sorry for Lina but in a way she got what was coming to her. I think what you wrote for Henry and Diana made sence, and it was better than everyone in the book living happily ever after.. The Luxe series is AMAZING! Canyou tell us a bit about your next series? I can't wait for it! :)

I just finished Splendor, and I have been crying for close to an hour. Everything is so different from when the series first started! Diana used to be my favorite character and by the end of Splendor I couldn't stand her and relized that she shouldn't be with Henry. I was relieved she and Henry didn't end up together and I still loved Henry. But... it was so sad! I suspected Penelope and Henry would end up together. But neither of them had a truly happy ending and I felt so bad for Lina, even though she got the life of luxury she wanted. I was happy for Elizabeth. Even though this wasn't the happy ending I expected, in a way I liked how you didn't have the simplistic happy ending found in many books today. Henry and Diana were the ideal pair of star-crossed lovers in the beginning of The Luxe; but they turned out to be better together in theory than in reality.

I just finshed splendor and liked up till the ending were Di and Henry do not end up toghther I am shocked and upset that they dind'nt. I hope you write a fifth book were they do end up toghther.

Can't believe I just found out or stopped ignoring the fact that Henry and Diana don't end up together.Love you dearly Anna but my heart is practically going through a sad phase,if only you could write another luxe series book that could fix what happens with Diana and Henry. Just finished reading Splendor and i can say i have never been more disappointed or heart broken. i loved Diana and Henry and invested so much in their relationship and while i know not everyone can have a happy ending i at least thought these two deserved a shot at one. Diana was unrecognisable in this book towards the end she went from being so strong and courageous cutting of her hair and trying to join the army to someone who was so scared of what other people thought that she made the biggest mistake of her life. Henry became such a great guy and to give him such a miserable ending when he deserved so much more was unfair especially when Penelope didn't get any where near her just deserts. i loved the first three books but this has ruined the series forever for me all the magic's now gone and i'm heartbroken. i hope you write another book where Henry and Diana end up together but if not in my heart he followed her and they did live happily ever after.

I'm reading Splendor right now. The book is really awesome... but I learned, thanks to friends, that Diana and Henry break up. It is really sad because I don't feel like reading it anymore. I've been waiting for the ending for a long time, and now, I hear that it's so unsatisfying. Actually I would prefer not finishing it and keeping this idea of happily ever after between Henry and Diana, but I'll read it because I'm still curious about how it's going to end for everyone else. But I really am sad. you should definately write another book, just for us. You said it yourself: it's not only your book, it's our book too. And we are not satisfied. PS Dont get me wrong... YOURE AN AMAZING WRITTER!!! And I loved all the luxe book and I'm really going to miss Diana, Henry, Elizabeth, Teddy... :D

I was really happy with the fact that Elizabeth was finally able to be happy but the fact that Diana just left henry on the dock was not cool. After all that had happened and she just left!!!! Penelope and Lina got what they both deserved because of all the problems and pain they caused. But the fact that Penelope and Henry may end up together in the end is terrible!!! She should just be destroyed!!!

I finished Splendor yesterday, and I would just like to say that I thought the ending was excellent. I have read so many series and anxiously awaited the final book only to be disappointed by the end. I think ending a series is one of the most difficult things to do, but the Luxe ending did not disappoint. It was the perfect combination of happiness twinged with sadness. It left you with a perfect sense of closure and the joy that, in the end, everything turned out for the best.

I think she might write another book. At the top if the page she writes "will be the last luxe book" then she writes "FOR NOW she felt sastisfied with the ending!" I don't know maybe age was planning to do 5 books all along but just to keep us in suspense she said this would be the last book!

so i waited 6 months for Splendor to come out. i got the book on friday and finished it monday. i love how elizabeth has a happily ever after. i want dianas ending to be different, i really wish you will come out with another book and have diana and henry live happily ever after like elizabeth. when i was reading the ending i really wanted to cry, i probably would have if i wasnt at school! i think henry should follow diana to Paris and stay there with her :). i know not many people would agree but i think there should be another book so that they can be together. anyways this is my favorite series so i praise you for that!

I thought the series was great and reading the books was like an exciting escape from real life. I had such high hopes for the final book and all of the characters. The ending absolutely crushed me, though! I was waiting for this amazing unification of all of my favorite people in the book and even found myself looking for that shining moment for those I wasn't particularly fond of, but it never happened. To me, books like these should have wonderfully happy endings that we just aren't able to have in real life! I will, however, always love all but the last few pages of this series.

I love all ur books SO much i think they are amazing. But i hated the ending...at first. I although understand it now, Dianna had to go live a life first she is so young and needed that freedom. But if you do write another book i think you should have them back together. I don't know how...but like maybe she could have had all of the adventures and than go back to Henry.

i loved loved loved splendor!!!! it was so good, except the ending for Diana and Henry was just okay. but i loved the ending for elizabeth. and carolina and penelope got waht they deserved, i thought. but i would just LOVE to see a 5th book! please anna!! i want to see what happens with elizabeth and teddy: will they have more children? how many more? where will they live? and penelope: where does she go since her and henry got a divorce? does she live with her parents? does she live in a house by herself? or will her and henry get back together? and Diana: what happens in paris? when she comes back will her and henry get back together? or will she marry someone else? hahaha i know alot of questiions but i really would like to read about all of this in a FIFTH BOOK!!! please please please!! that would just make my day if i found out there was going to be a 5th book!!!

OMG I became obsessed with these books. Month ago I got the first three in a set and just finished Splendor. I think the ending was poetic and I love how Diana's story ends(She was always a free bird so hwo can anyone have expected her to be a wife at 16?), and SOOO Glad for Elizabeth (who is my favorite character), but really wish we could have gotten to actually enjoy Teddy and Elizabeth. Instead we just got a paragraph about their happy life. There was way too much of Elizabeth suffering through these books. BUT I adore them and reccomend them to anyone who loves scandal and love triangle books. LOVE LOVE LOVE The Luxe Series.

Je n'avais pas envie de lire le 1er livre car ce n'est pas mon style, et je me suis mise à le lire et j'étais comme envoutée pour lire le 2ème. Ma maman ne possédait pas le 3ème livre et ne savait pas s'il existait, ici en france il est sortit en mars 2010, je l'ai acheté avant hier et je l'ai fini aujourd'hui. j'attends avec impatience le 4ème en espérant que Diana et Henry seront heureux ensemble. Continuez à nous faire rêver, vos livres sont sublimes.
