Hello all!

I am sorry I have been MIA here! I am deep in the Splendor trenches (which sounds kind of nice, actually), avoiding all human contact, wandering my apartment in wifebeater and pajama pants, dreaming about Diana, etc. Argh, it is tough to finish sometimes. But I'm so excited about it, and looking forward to hearing what you all have to say about the fourth Luxe installment. That's what's going to pull me through, ladies.

Meanwhile, it's raining in my neighborhood and I've got the dreary music of the Pacific Northwest playing; in my head it's New York, July 1900, and all my girls are spoiling for a fight. Much more on that very very soon...

Oh good luck on finished Splendor! I am dying to read the fourth book from the luxe series! This is where my ability to have patience is helpful! It will be awesome to read a fantastic book to the start of the new school year! We are all cheering for you and the fourth book will surely be as fantastic as the first, second, and third!

omg i almost cried when i found out that Splendor was going to be the last book, however i know it will be amazing and i have faith that everything will end on good terms. i am especially excited about diana and henry and what happens to them. i feel that i can relate most to her than any of the other characters. and what about liz and her baby, i kinda of hope that she will get with teddy even though he's in another country and she's married. i would also like to know what you have planned for the future after the luxe books. do you have any ideas about other stories you might be interseting in writing? its always good to hear from you and best of luck with the book, cant wait to read it. love, xoxo Kia.

Oh my Gawd! I love the Luxe books and I swear I am either going to die and/ or pee in my pants while I wait for the nxt book. I just read all three cover-to-cover in two days. These books are, well, totally LUXE-urious!

Hey everybody! This might be a dumb question but does Anna read these? That would be super exciting if she did. Anyways, I was a little late reading Envy but of course it left me feeling just as obsessed as the other two books did. The plot of the story and vivid surroudings make me wish so badly that life was like that somewhat now. I'm getting alot of people into the series! I completely agree man I hope Liz hooks up with Teddy but I cant see how she would do that now that she's married to Cairn's! ugh. lol Diana has got to be my favorite character but jeez all the characters mean so much to the whole piece its hard not to get attached to all of them in some way. They are so real and easy to relate to. Anyways, good luck with the next book miss Anna and I hope your future is awesome!

hey Anna! I absolutely LOVE your books!! Usually i can figure out wut's going to happen in a book, like, I was sorta hoping Elizabeth would be pregnant! And i got my wish!! lol. I totally cried while reading your books. :P I'm so excited for Splendor!!! I have to wait until later this year or next year though! :( lol. I'll be in 8th grade!! I love the Luxe books so much! they are absolutely amazing and i cant wait for splendor!! I'm so nervous though will it be a happy ending!??!! it's so sad that it will be the last book the first three kept me hooked until i was finished and i love so many of the characters! what other books have you written or will you be writing others?? thanks for this amazing series truly!

So I have read and reread this series very many times and until yesterday, I never once noticed that there would be another sequel. I just assumed that Envy would be the last book. Im so very glad that it is not but on the down side, I now know that Splendor is. So I wanted to let you know how absolutely amazing this series is and has been. I love Diana and how her romance with Henry has gone. Elizabeth is very strong and I can only dream that Mr. Carins will fall deathly ill and give her the opportunity to be with Teddy in the end. :P Penelope deserves someone entirely as slimy as she herself is. And Lina, I hope the best for but I regret how she became socially stable. I never thought she would sell her soul to the devil (Penelope) for the entire benefit of her social standings. I would like to thank you for writing this amazing series and I hate to see it go. I hope you write many more books and series in the future and that they have the same amount of imagination put into them. You are an amazingly talented writer. :) One question I was curious about though was that there was a reference to a girl named "Gemma" in Envy. Would that have any ties to the series that Libba Bray published?

Anna- you are an amazing writer and I have read your books many times. Until yesterday, I assumed that Envy was the last book until I saw the last page advertising Splendor. Im super excited and know it will be great. One question I have is that the reference in Envy about a girl named "Gemma", does that have any connection to Libba Brays series A Great and Terrible Beauty?

O my gosh! I am super excited about Splendor; I don't think I can wait till October!!! (am I right? Is that when its coming out?) Anyways Diana is my favorite character I can't belive she's gonna go into the army?!?!?! (its sooo cool) Anna I LOVE your writing style, it is incredible!!! I love how there is always a turning point in the story and we find a new secret. Please please please let Teddy and Elizebeth get together! You know, everyone seems so supportive of Lina, and I can't stand her! She sold Diana's secret and that's why Henry ended up with that awful Penelope. Why does everyone like her? She's an evil fake, no better than Penelope. I just hope she gets whats coming to her. And I was wondering, is Splendor really the last of the series? That's so upsetting! Anyway, I'm really excited about it, none the less. Please let Di have her happy ending!

Rose, In the book, Lina is described as having large, red, "bee-stung" lips, and broad features such as a long nose and wide forehead. I picture her facial structure as being long and thin with a mix of red freckles across the bridge of her nose. I assume her hair is an dark, rich, auburn color and her skin tone is pale. Dear Anna, If the Luxe series gets made into a movie, CHRIS CARMACK JUST HAS TO PLAY the role of Henry Schoonmaker! When I first read the description of Henry Schoonmaker in The Luxe, Chris Carmack's face just popped into my head! He is a wonderful actor. He did a great job in the movie Love Wrecked with Amanda Bynes. He is an absolutely gorgeous man! In my opinion, he fits the role of Henry Schoonmaker to the T. I think he would make the Luxe movies completely amazing! I really hope your lovely books get made into movies! XOXO, Elisabeth

i have just finished reading the luxe. from one new yorker to another, it was written with grace. it's utterly fabulous, scandalous and delicious! i especialy look forward towards reading rumors, envy, and eventually splendor. keep writing off of that muse. [coldplay offers great inspiration!]

I just finished Envy and was happy to know that Splendor is on it's way. I would love to live in PJ's and listen to the rain coming down as I was writing, but children and work at the library call! I have loved each of these books and am excited for the fourth. Enjoy yourself Anna!

I have a question for Anna the author: At the beginning of each chapter you have an excerpt from a newspaper or a book published in the late 1800's. Do you write these pieces, or do you actually find them places? Thanks! ~Riley~

Anna, you are amazing. I'm so glad I picked up your book in the store; I've been hooked ever since. I had school so it took me 5 days instead of 3 to get through all of them. (This hasn't happened since Twilight). I can't wait for Splendor; I'm such a wreck without it! I can't believe it's the last one! I'll have to savor it and read really really really slowly....:)

Anna, I have never commented on a blog in my life. That being said, you simply cannot stop at book four. I know why you are having problems finishing... how can you tie up all the loose ends in just one more book? Bravo to you if you can. I have to disagree with the poster about an actor who should play Henry. What pops into my head (and can't get out of!) is Christian Bale as Henry. I wish you the best in finishing this project. I know it can't be all happy endings it's too predictable. Some people will like how it ends and some people won't, whether it be with henry, someone else, or by herself , I hope diana is happy in the end.

Currently, I have just read The Luxe and Rumors because Envy is not always coming out in France, unfortunately =( I think I will buy it in english 'cause I CAN'T WAIT ! anna can u please do me a favor and fix the cover of splendor i dont mean to be mean but it is kinda hideous i mean well maybe its because its a small one but i just think maybe u should change it if u still have time cause like its like a year before it comes out so u should be able to change it also i dont think u should stop at book 4 because its really good but as i have said b4 u really need to keep writing and i am i sure a lot of people would like to read about southern belles but u can do watever cause it is your book but i think i woul love to see a book telling about how southern belles arent as good as people thought they were

Dear Anna, I really love THE LUXE Series! I've read The Luxe and Rumours and they're superb! I just bought Envy and I can't wait to finish it. I told my classmates about your novel and they love it too! I really hope you'll make more delicious novels. Hahaha. Moreover, the book covers of THE LUXE Series are beautiful. Though I must admit that Puffin Books made The Luxe and Rumours cover more beautiful.

Oh Anna, I can't wait for Splendor to come out. I loved reading Luxe and Rumors. My favorite point of view is in DIANA's perspective. I can't wait so see what Diana does to get Henry back, and i can't wait to see how the story ends. Keep writing and i can't wait to read Splendor!! :o)

You get plenty of posts everyday but screw it. The LUXE series is everything young adult romance fiction should be. I love your writing and have been influenced enough by your stories to start reading Edith Wharton. Despite all this, I still feel that there should be more interaction between some of the characters. I would have loved to see Henry confronting his father about joining the Army. Speaking of Henry, I'm would loved for him to have full closure with Elizabeth after she returned. As for Penelope, the best villains are always the most complex. Where's her vulnerable side? I thought we got to it in Envy but it turned out to be another one of her tricks. Finally, there's Lina. I don't know if she understands the amount of luck she has and would really enjoy seeing her character mature into a more respectable person. There's really nothing to be said about Diana. I know some of these won't be finalized in Splendor and if that's your last Luxe book, I'm sorry to hear it.

Hey Anna! Okay so I just started Rumors and I absolutely love it already. Well besides the fact that I cheated and know about Henry's marriage to the cold hearted Penelope. I was wondering if you know like a guesstimation when Splendor is going to be released? I am already anxious and not even through the second book lol. My favorite character of course is Diana and I just totally hope that you allow her and Henry to be together in the end. I am currently writing a book of my own and would like to let you know that your letters have alleviated some of my stress about the time I am taking. Which couldn't be nearly half as much as yours considering you probably have a time frame. So I want to thank you for your inspiration and enthralling books. Tootles.

i love these books! i just picked up the luxe at barnes and noble about a month ago and now i can't wait for splendor to come out. It's a new obsession,I have to admit.Haha. Well i can't wait to be wisked away to the summer of 1900, i need to know what happens to....everyone! ps. i'm happy for lina, or should i say carolina, she seems to be the only one with a truely happy ending in sight. Anna,I must tell you that I am a grandmother a few times over and I just LOVE the Luxe series! Right now I'm just past the middle of Envy and already I can't wait for Splendor. I love the characters but especially Diana and Henry, even though Henry could show more backbone against his father and Penelope. I felt bad when Will died because I envisioned great wealth for him in the oilfield. ( I'm from Texas).:-) Lina is at times a bit too manipulative but I understand where she is coming from...she is a survivor and I admire that. Penelope is very shallow and superficial and she deserves whatever is coming to her,hopefully in your next book. Diana is very young and inexperienced in many ways and I hope she will eventually find happiness with Henry, if he ever grows a backbone. Anna, I love your books and I'm already sad that Splendor will be the last book!

ohh mahh gooshh! i love your books! my favorite character has to be diana and elizabeth. you make her sound so pretty and amazingg. and you make me want henry so bad! the books have been keeping me on the edge of my seat and i cant stop reading. after i finished envy, i thought there wasnt anymore (until i looked at the back of the book and saw splendor was coming). i cannot wait! im excited to see what happens!! i actually started crying when elizabeth watched her beloved (whos name escaped me at the moment--i was planning on getting the book to find it but im too lazy). these books are my favorite and you are an amazing author! <3

hey, madam! I find your work really amazing. But you see, i'm french, so at first i waited so long for the 2nd to come out in french, and when it finally ended up in my hands, i couldn't stop reading it (which was a bit annoying, 'cause i had exams...). When i heard there was a 3rd, I bought it immediatly on amazon, in english. But no problem, i speak, eat, sleep and dream english (that sounds weird though...). Now that i finished envy, I know that i'm going to read splendor in english, i won't be waiting any longer! I can't stop crying over diana and henry, and elizabeth, poor thing!! oh! and penelope, she's so evil. I have to say, she a great character, 'cause first i like then i hate her, she brings all sort of contradictory feelings! I hate and love her at the same time! I feel sorry for teddy too, he missed every chances he could have! man, you're good! well i hope the end will finally be a happy one ('cause i love happy endings but with, of course, their share of sadness!). god bless you Miss Godbersen! and don't forget 1914, I bet the son (or daughter, but i always thought of a boy) of elizabeth and will, will be joining the army for the WWI !! goodbye then!

Hello Anna! I am a huge fan of your book's! they are AMAZING! my favorite characters would have to be Diana & Henry & Elizabeth & Will! I Loved the ending to Envy! i was soo mad that i finished the 3 books, i can't wait to read Splendor! Anyways, me & my friend agreed that your books are better that the Twilight series (& trust me, were huge fans of those too!) we wanted to ask you if there was anyway that they could make a movie on the books... i bet we would all love that! I love how you took a time period that's usually thought of as very goody-too-shoes-ish and created a not-so-innocent story. No time period is ever truely innocent because even though times change, peoples' character does not. I love how you captured that!

I love your books. When I bought the first one, I could not put it down, and it was the same with the two others. They are so addicting! Is your next book Splendor, your last book for the series? I cannot wait for the next one to come out.
