**SPOILER ALERT** WHO gave reed the BLS book? It had to be someone with access to her dorm, an old Billings girl, I think it was Ivy, her Grandmother probably would have had it, or a relative of Ivy's that didn't hate billings. Or maybe it was Noelle... on the other hand, ARIANA would have been the kind to hoard a book of a secret society and stuff, could she be back at easton???

I havent got to read Scandal yet.Im in college and have been having quizes and finals that i have to study for.My final is monday,so monday after class im going to get the book.I was wondering how it was?Was it good,well i know it will be good,but was it like favorite good?

Kate, when will the next book in the Private series come out? You left a serious cliff hanger! To the people commenting: I don't think Ivy could have left the book for Reed because she hates Billings. She wouldn't want to start it up again. Unless, she gave it to Reed (instead of Noelle) because she knew Reed would include her and she wanted to be apart of something, which also makes sense. And I also agree with Brooke about Noelle not giving the book to Reed. But, who would have taken Noelle and threatened her life? I don't think Double H did it, but he might might might have something to do with it. Maybe Paige or her family? But, they are good friends with the Lange's and she has nothing against Noelle, just Reed.

Yes. I think that a BLS club would be perfect for all the people who are really into the books(like me). This book was soooooo awsome! Kate, you are truley amazing. !SPOILER ALERT!Who thinks Noelle was taken by Billings Alumni? Who thinks Hathaways? Ariana & Sabine? Anybody have any opinions on this? And also I am soooo Happy that Josh and Reed are back together. Even thought i dont really like Josh all that much, he is the guy for Reed. With the whole book thing i have no idea! Oh, and i am so sad that Constance isnt in BLS!

Billings literary society...definitely intrigued :) as long as it's not really about what Reed was trying to turn it into. SPOLER ALERT*** For those of you who don't know what that means, it means that if you haven't read Scandal, or Perfect Mistake, DON"T READ THIS! Way to end the book, Kate!!! I finished the book yesterday night, and it was awesome! The only thing I didn't like about the book was that for some reason her friendship with Noelle like dissolved and they almost started over.... EEK. Okay, so I have afew suspicions.

Okay, so still SPOILER!*&^&*( I think there are a few possibilities it could be. A) It's Suzel and Paige and them. B) It's Ivy, note the down to the letter instructions in the text, which she also used during the book C) Noelle, working with Suzel and Paige. I agreed with Noelle that putting up the symbol around campus was a bad idea. Because it will give even more suspicion plus a bit of evidence for Mr Hathaway, and the society wasn't even supposed to be about that.

I also think Reed went a little overboard with the book. I mean, she cut one of her best friends just because the book said only eleven members. I'd be like, forget the book, this is about friendship, I'm not going to cut my friend from a group about friendship. And I'm uber happy her and Josh ore back together! I mean, it felt bad at first, because of how things went with Ivy, but after Ivy said it was okay, it was like okay, breathe again, this is awesome! My only regret about the book was that there wasn't much about the Billings girls, the guys and all the normal drama. it was all BLS. Mostly. But it was still a great book!

I think the person who took her obviously knows that Reed is going to do anything to get her back, so therefore torturing Reed as well. But, who else do you think could have taken Noelle?

And lastly, A SPOILER ABOUT PERFECT MISTAKE*** K, so I finally got around to reading the book, stupid sister wouldn't let me borrow it so I had to wait for it to come from the library.... And I finished it this morning. Why couldn't she have killed off Soomie? I mean, I get why she offed Brigit, but I liked Brigit better than Soomie. I wanted to hurl the book across my english classroom, but my teacher would have freaked. I was so mad. And hadn't Kaitlyn already solidified a spot because she was the hero? And poor Palmer, I think he really likes Ariana but there's something about him...I feel like he's going to end up with Kaitlyn. I want her to die. Kill her pleaseeeeee! But then I guess it wouldn't be much of a series....

you guys...if you read the message at the end thoroughly it said "WE" meaning more then one person was involved so that pretty much knocks out half of your theories haha. SPOILER ALERT!! I think London and Vienna kidnapped Noelle. London didn’t get into the BLS so she and Vienna were very upset. In the book, Vienna kind of shrugs off the fact that London didn’t get in. I think they schemed together to take Noelle. They had someone on the inside. London made the noises and dragged her out. Vienna helped. It couldn’t have been Ivy because she was still in the room after Noelle was kidnapped, so she couldn’t have dragged her off. Suzel and Paige would be to obvious for Kate. This also explains why the message said we. I would totally join the BLS!!!!

I don't think that Vienna and London would really have the scheming brains to pull that off. My number one thought is Noelle, because Noelle never really liked BLS and she wanted them to stop so that Paige and Suzel could help, so I think she's working with them....And my other thought would be Ivy, because of when Reed saw her shadow or something and it scared her and gave her chills right after her and Ivy made up. And yeah, just because Ivy was still there doesn't mean it wasn't her. I mean, she hates Noelle, maybe there is even a posibility that they were working together. But if not, I'm sure ivy would find a way.

SPOILER (I suppose?) I've read a few reviews here and there about Scandal Kate, and I'm very relieved to here that Reed is dating Josh again. Thanks for not making her into one of those "Mary Sue" kinds of characters where ALL the boys LOVE her. I don't think I have to tell you how many guys she's dated, and I was getting SICK of it. Reed dating Upton made me want to to rip out my hair, how idiotic she is when it comes to love. And then all the rumors about her and Sawyer? Sawyer's the sweetest guy so far, but does EVERY SINGLE GUY have to be paired with Reed? Not to be ranting (which, I guess this is) but please, please, please keep Reed independent for the rest of the series. She doesn't need a series of men to keep distracting her all the time.

Okay, sorry to say, guys, but these suspects are seriously getting waaaay out of hand! Too far-fetched! In my opinion, there isn't enough evidence. And, whoever said that Reed needs to be independent, I AGREE COMPLETELY!! Who needs a man to keep you guessing and distracting you? SPOILER*** I completely agree with you Hunter about not hearing a struggle with Noelle. Reed was right next to her and the first time Reed and Noelle heard a knock or a sound they grabbed each others arms. I think Noelle had something to do with it, but I think it wasn't completely willingly because she says that she just wants to graduate and she has been through enough that makes me believe her when she does say that. And when they were found by the guard people that took them to Mr. Hathaway, she gave Reed a death stare supporting that she really doesn't want to get in trouble.

Im in i need more!! can not wait till the next book VANISHED coming in august 31, i think i will die waiting that long. Noelle needs to come back, my theorys of who took her are either paige, Suzel (although unlikely) or maybe even Ivy. I dont think missy is possible of setting up poeple to take Noelle, i honestly think she dosnt have the brains.As for who gave Reed BLS, im guessing it was not Paige, because she was with Suzel when they were warned to stop. It could have been anyone else like Sabine or maybe a new charachter that hasnt been introduced yet. Keep it up Kate, i love the cliffhangers but hate waiting for the next one to come out!!!

You guys It can't be paige she is mean but she likes noelle,it can't be ivy because ivy was there and even tough ivy doesn't like noelle she still kind of will always see her as a friend shes just still hurt by it. As for who left the bls book i think it was Sawyer I mean it makes perfect sense he was the one who told Reed about the whole Bls thing and he knew how much it meant to her and after all his dad is the headmaster he probably has some access to some pretty PRIVATE stuff!

SOUNDS GREAT xD dont hate me 4 sayin this, but i think that scandal wasnt kate's best work...for some reason, i wasnt feeling the exclusiveness of easton, reed's friendship with noelle was as if it never existed, there wasnt that much detail or description in it, and too much of it was focused on the bls. dont get me wrong, it was a great addition to the series, but i juss hope that kate brings it in the next book :P

@kelly, yes they could have gagged her, but if it was really a kidnapping, would Noelle really go willingly. Once you'd lost your ability to scream, you thrash around to make as much noise as possible. She was sitting in a pew for heaven's sake! if she were to struggle she would be kicking and clawing and making noise, which is why it doesn't add up. Cause no one heard anything like that, other than the final scream at the end. I mean, you would have at least heard someone moving dragging a person out, who SHOULD be fighting back....Unless...you know. ;) yeah, I did kind of find it ridiculous that all the guys were practically lined up for her, waiting to date her, but I'm glad she back with Josh. He was her longest, most devoted boyfriend. And yes, Sawyer would have treated her like gold, but would you really want to date someone who didn't feel the same? And Sawyer's like her brother... I want to join the BLS club!!!!

ok i would just love it if Thomas came back to life! er no not that, wat if he wasn't actually murdered, wat if it was all a fake? i would just love it! i know kate can mix that in the story somehow with her amazing writing abilities! but seriously how awesome would that be? ok and i think the people (yes more than 1) that kidnapped noelle was IVY AND JOSH!!! i mean seriously, it was too fast for ivy to get over josh and josh to fall into reed's arms....i think they're plotting together! the way ivy was at the last meeting of BLS...the way josh was already in reed's room...IT'S ALL A TRAP! you can't ever know what happens in private..but don't get my wrong, i almost had tears of joy when josh got back together wit reed! happiest thing ever!!! i CANNOT wait till the next book! is it possible that it comes out sooner??

I really think that Noelle pretended to b kidnapped, in the book they say reed sees the shadow of someone standing up after the lights were out it was prob Noelle sneakinout, i think Noelle planned the whole thing with Suzel as the "dire consequence"Demetri was talking bout to get them to stop BLS and Noelle sided with them b/c she wants to stay out of trouble and it will def get her on the good side of the alums and give her more opportunities. I really think that Noelle pretended to b kidnapped, in the book they say reed sees the shadow of someone standing up after the lights were out it was prob Noelle sneakinout, i think Noelle planned the whole thing with Suzel as the "dire consequence"Demetri was talking bout to get them to stop BLS and Noelle sided with them b/c she wants to stay out of trouble and it will def get her on the good side of the alums. i think that the whole thing was a set up. that's why none of the billings alumni women knew about it. maybe the book itself was set up for some reason to get noelle.. i mean obviously reed would believe that someone would leave her this book, but how would they know she was going to follow every little rule that the book said..? i don't think it was ivoy at all. she seemed too innocent in the whole thing. and in the last chapter it says that they hear noses that could end up being someone taking noelle. if it was all set up though, like the secret society, i'll be sad that's so cool!

I completely agree with Kerri. My number one suspect is Noelle, and then Ivy because of when Reed saw ivy's spooky shadow and it gave her chills and also in the text when it said you have to fallow the instructions down to the letter. Just like Ivy said about BLS. However, I disagree with Ariana. Constance, Missy, and London and Shelby wouldn't have the guts to kidnap Noelle Lange, the girl the spent like two years fearing. and also, that's who Reed would suspect, and kate doesn't go for the obvious. A lot of authors don't. You always have to think out of the box when it comes to books. Especially private! I'm reading Exmas now, and I'm hooked! It's so good!

i hate to be the barrier of bad news..but this book was the worst of the series. i still of course liked it. everytime reed and josh hooked up i got chills but besides the drama between graham, sawyer, josh, & reed..the book was not interesting AT ALL up until the very lasstttt page. i really don't think that you should create a series about BLS because to be honest those parts put me to sleep....

I think Scandal was one of the best books in the series! I think the BLS was good but it wasn't great. I am so glad that josh and reed are together they should never break up! I think i might like him more then upton just because they are the same age and he doesn't live across the pond! haha:)

I have to say, by far Scandal is probably the worst of the private books. not saying its bad, but it just lacked that suspense that the others have. The end was good..but the rest, not so much. I got kinda bored, no action. I think Ivy kidnapped Noelle because of how Reed comments on how dark she looked at the end of the book. Shes probably faking being friends with reed and is still mad at her for getting back with josh, so is getting back at her. Maybe. I feel so bad for Sawyer hez so sweet. I thot he would be good for Reed. Can't wait for next book cuz i think it will be more interesting.

SPOILER: Okay I said in response to a different blog that I didn't think Ivy took Noelle but now I really really do because I just read the book and have SO much evidence. 1) Ivy has always hated Billings. 2) Even though Ivy didn't act too upset in Revelation, we all know that she still blames Noelle, Ariana, etc. for her grandma's death. 3) After she found out Josh cheated on her with Reed, she had her phone "permanently attached to her ear" (planning the kidnapping?) 4) She came to the meeting WITHOUT any bedding/snacks/anything, so she might have known they wouldn't be staying long (as in, she knew about the kidnapping). 5) she forgave Reed for kissing Josh VERY easily (so she could come to the meeting and carry out the kidnapping plan?) 6) She insisted only having 11 members in BLS (she knew Reed would have to cut 3 members, possibly 4 if Shelby hadn't quit, which would weaken Billings). Idk please prove me wrong if you can I don't want Ivy to be guilty she just seems suspect...

Spoiler!!!! I agree with Natalie. There are a million reasons to suspect Ivy. that is why she's my number two suspect. Noelle my number one because she didn't want anything to do with it, and yet she came anyway. I think she wanted to see Reed fail and might have gotten upset when she didn't? And Stephanie got me thinking. I mean, yeah, Sabine should be in jail, but maybe she got out, just like Arianna. And she could totally put together a book like that. Also, the names were signed by the original members, right? What if Sabine is good at forgery too? Like Arianna? I don't think it's Arianna. It's too unrealistic. She's off doing her own thing far away, why would she even think of letting Kaitlyn out of her sight to go do all this? Not that Kaitlyn wouldn't be stalking her every move though....

i like the idea of a BLS. but SPOILER ALERT!!!: all the people saying noelle went missing without anyone noticing is wrong because remember how on page 219 it says"another scream, but this time it was far away outside maybe?" that was probably noelle screeming. and i dont think it was noelle pulling a prank. shes too sophistacated for that. and i dont really think it was ivy because i dont know, i trust her. but maybe it was the tattoo guy ivy was with or the alumni but because they said if they didnt cut it out the consequences could be bad. so idk. im pretty stumped on this one..... and by the way this is my favorite book so far-great job kate!!! but please do you ALWAYS have to leave us with a cliff hanger?????

SPOILER! It would be totally wrong to put Arianna as the kidnapper. Totally unrealistic. The books are also like a year apart. Selina, no offense, but I kinda think that Idea is pretty stupid. I mean, Reed wouldn't even be able to get into Arianna's school, and Noelle's about to graduate. :/ And Emma, I know about the scream that seemed farther away, and that could have been Noelle. But why would you waittilll they got you far away from the chapel to scream? I mean, someone is kidnapping you, trying to drag you out, I think your gonna scream till you can't anymore, or at least make as much noise as possible. Being kidnapped is worse than just being killed. Because then you have time to fear and they torture you and it's realy not pleasant. And how many people who have been kidnapped actually come back alive? If I were Noelle I would have kicked at the pews and hit, and attacked the person and screamed. I wouldn't be like oh, I'm being taken wheeeeeeeee.

I would definitely join the BLS for sure and most of my friends would join too :) ok so SPOILER ALERT! Knowing how Kate writes I don't think the kidnapper is obvious which i think cancels out the Billings alumni because we all know they had a problem with it and Paige would be number one suspect with all that her mom did. I also dont think its Ivy just because Kate already did the bff turns evil thing. This will get bad comments but I personally think it could be Josh. That would suck but I mean he absolutely hates Billings and everything that Noelle has done to turn Reed into something he doesnt like. The only flaw with that theory is her phone beeped while he was in the room but he did have the phone first...suspicion! I really liked the book..I'm glad it wasnt all suspense and murder but actually dealt with friendship and billings. ok long comment but theres my guess :/

SPOILER ALERT! Ok, this is a random guess but I'm starting to believe it. Maybe the kidnapper was Sawyer and/or his brother. They never said for sure it was their dad who got rid of Billings. Sawyer did always act really weird in Paradise Lost/Suspicion- being really quiet. He also has a reason to hate Reed, therefore Billings. Also because he is the headmaster's son, he would have access to Reeds room and leave the book. Again, this is a totally random guess, but it could be them. What do you think? SPOILER ALERT SCANDAL! Even though I really don't want it to be, I think Ivy's behind Noelle's disappearance. Especially considering the coincidental events during that chapter. Funny how Ivy and Reed make ammends within the same time frame Noelle disappears. Also note the observation Reed made about Ivy's appearance when she walks through the doors of the chapel, (the eerie/gothical imagery.)

so i was bored and read some of the sample chapters..and the one of privilege really stuck out because ariana said one thing that reminded me of this book..she was talking about how her life should be and she said "supposed to be in a secret society"....i wonder if she was just talking about billings or something like bls..weird.

SPOILER ALERT!: this book has kept me up allll night ! i couldnt sleep because i was trying to figure out who took noelle... personally i think its paige and missy. in the text it was always using a plural pronoun. missy hates reed and billings now, right? and paige is the only one who ever thought she was on the same level as noelle, maybe even better. she wouldnt be afraid to take noelle and missy would just LOVE to freak reed out; teach her a lesson for not letting her into BLS. plus, theyre cousins right ? they couldve hired tattoo man to snatch her away too. sorry this is so long, i just needed to put this out there!

@everyone I really don't want it to be Noelle or Ivy, cuz that would be just boring. I mean, Mrs. Ryan in suspicion really wasn't that big of a surprise to me and i just feel like the more the books go along the more predictable they get. Im glad that Josh was their to see the text b/c now Reed is forced to tell him all about BLS which i think would def strengthen his trust in her, and it will b such a big help for Reed to have someone level headed like Josh to lean on, help her figure it how took Noelle, and to understand what shes going thro. i loveeeee Josh soo much. Okay so I finally read Scandal yesterday and honestly, Kate Brian, don't be upset, but it wasn't as great as your previous books. SPOILER ** It was too much about BLS and I felt that it went too quickly, like you missed out some details. For example, how Josh and Reed got back together? They didn't even have a talk about what happened to Reed or what happened between them. Also, Reed and Noelle's friendship is a very important part of the book, so it being ruined is kind of ehh. And Reed leaving her friends? =( Anyways I think it should have been more focused on Reed's drama, relationships...easton etc. Not that I didn't like it though =)) Anyways, can't wait for Vanished! I just realized...I REALLY miss Thomas in the book =( I wish he could come back..he was the best character EVER.

SPOILER*** I dont think it is Ivy. She was in the room before everything happened and she was still in the room after everything happened. And she was with the group looking for her after...how could she possibly have time to kidnap Noelle, put her somewhere, and then send Reed the text and then stay with Reed and everyone...even if she was helping she wouldnt be that much of a help and she is wayyyyy to obvious. Also, i agree with the who BLS setup thing. It makes complete sense (and im not saying that the BLS book isnt real but im also not saying it was either way

CONTINUED: i think that if someone reallyyy wanted them to start it than they would probrably have given it to Noelle or something and the Billings alumni are doing everything they can to bring Billings back so if that was a way I think they would have known about it and had something to dow with it. it doesnt matter and i havent decided) because that person gave it to reed and it seems like if someone realy wanted to start something they would either give it to Noelle or inform her of something....and everything with Ariana and Sabine is COMPLETELY unrealistic because they are now in a completely different series and now that branching off seperately.

She's living far far away at some boarding school, and is way to busy with her own problems to create problems for the ppl in her past. Be realistic, guys! It's rediculous to think that Kate would bring her back when she's already got her own books. Not to mention the whole idea would be way to repetetive. Honestly, it's better to have a new, surprsing person, different ppl that we wouldn't thik woudl do that. We already know how Ariana's brain works. I really think it would be stupid if she brought Ariana back in, since that would destroy her other series. and we know its not her because she already has another two books planned for Privlege. I think it could be the Billings alumni, or at least Paige, but that would be too obvious. Kate Brian doesn't do obvious. I'm guessing it's another student, or someone that we haven't even met yet. One thing that I don't get though is, how is Reed going to keep the kidnapping from Double-H and the police??

**SPOILER ALERT**: I agree with some of the comments stating that whoever gave Reed the BLS book was behind Noelle's kidnapping. Think about it: doesn't it seem odd that the book, unknown even to the top Billings alumni, would be given to Reed in such a random/suspicious manner? It's even MORE suspicious with Reed's blind trust in whoever gave her the book. She's even said several times throughout Scandal that she felt like the book providers were 'watching over her' or 'looking out for her best interests.' Well, maybe they are watching her, but not for the benevolent reasons she thinks. Who are these mysterious BLS members? No clue. What I do believe is that Noelle is NOT involved. As for Ivy, I do have some suspicions but she would be far too obvious. Ariana and Sabine? No way, completely impractical. I guess we'll have to wait until August to figure out more.

@Jessica: You have a lot of good points (I think you meant to say Sawyer instead of Graham though?) I have a feeling that at least one of the culprits is someone that we don't know or haven't paid much attention to in the series, probably female if the BLS book is authentic... And I also have a feeling that Reed's new BLS will be dismantled once Double H and the police find out about Noelle's disappearance. It might be for the best though. I think Reed's been changing for the worse in this book and I was pretty annoyed with her at several points.

ok if youve read Privilege it says that ariana is still in jail until july 4th at the end of this school year. so whoever kidnapped Noelle is not going to kill her! because in the first privilege book she, taylor, and kiran all fo to arianas funeral and it hasnt happened yet in the private series.

@maggie, omg ur right!! Noelle is def gonna be saved cuz she goes to the funeral in a few months, safe and sound in the privalige books. And also it is literally impossible for the kidnapper to be Ariana b/c she doesnt escape from jail until July 4th, many months from the time their in now, like maggie said. And she def didnt escape from jail, kidnap noelle, and then once again get arrested and sent back b/c they say numerous times in privilage that she been stuck their for two years without everrrr leaving. So Ariana being the kidnapper, and Noelle dying is completely %100 impossible, out of the question : )

(although i loved Sawyer....it was just meant to be) and for the Noelle kidnapping:i do not think it was ivy, i admit that shes been higher up on my suspicious list but i really got to like her during scandal and i don't think she had anything to do with the kidnapping.(although her and Noelle have there differences) i think it was an outside person that we haven't met yet. but i really want to know about this tattoo guy and omg!! the Jen and josh thing, there is obviously more to it then what josh told us, that wasn't enough for Graham to punch him. I loved your book Scandal!!! I was so mad with the cliff hanger!! like i have to wait again!!?? This time till August?? I've read almost all of your books kate and i don't want you to hurry and not make it what it has the potential to be, but your books ARE addictive! KATE YOU ARE AN AMAZING WRITER!!! I must confess i cried during the scene when Josh came to Reed's room at night, his speech was so cute!!!! I have no clue in the world who gave Reed the book but all i do know is whoever it was must be the MOST powerful Billings girl out there!!!! I would also like to note that i made my mother go and buy me the book one night and i finished it at about 2 in the morning because i couldn't put it down.(on a school night :( LOVE REED AND JOSH!!!!! and i really hope he doesn't figure out about the society because then he will get mad at reed and i would HATE that!!!!! They are perfect for each other!!!No matter what you do in the mean time just make sure in the very last book(which i must confess i hope there is never a last book :) ) they end up together!!!!!!! well technically, kaitlynn probably killed two people. although we'd have to wait for the next book to come out to be sure. and most people hate kaitlynn mostly because she blackmailed ariana, who got her all that money, and while kaitlynn was expected to go to australia, decided to live ariana's life and follow HER around. yeah, ariana's bad. but kaitlynn is worse psychologically. she's a master manipulator, and most of us just cant connect with one of those. we just try to connect with ariana (mostly since she is the main character) starting a new life, trying to let go of her past but then being constantly reminded of everything via Kaitlynn. i know a lot of people who try not to think of things that happened in their past

It would also be hard to have the private series without Noelle, I mean even when she tortured Thomas and was expelled from school and sent away, Kate still found a way to bring her back.

Wow. that book was really good, but i cannot wait till august for the next one. The one thing I hate about these books is the suspense. I'm so excited for the next one. I have no idea who would have done it, but i do find it kind of weird that Ivy didn't bring anything with her to the chapel.

I think there is lots of foreshadowing in the books that i can't figure out haha. The person who took Noelle could even be someone we don't know... that would be interesting.

im reading scandal right now and its pretty good. im sooooo glad that josh and reed are back together! they are abosolutely made for each other. even know i did really want reed and sawyer together. it seemed like they had something and he was so sweet! It had to be someone who has been to the old chapel and know when they would be there.Suzel and Paige and the girls that didnt make it into Billings.Or Ivy.If Ivy was behind it,she had someone help her,whoever helped her was the one that took noelle.Ivy forgave Reed way too easy.When Reed first told Ivy about the kiss,Ivy freaked out yelling.The girls that didnt make it to Billing..I dont think any of them would have the COURAGE to kidnap Noelle Lange.Nor would Noelle let that happen.Im thinking it was Suzel and the other older lady(sorry,forgot her name).

SPOILER ALERT*** Ok so i dont think that the billings alumni had anything to do with it...the only evidence that supports it is that she knows where the chapel is, but so do a lot of other people....plus someone could have followed the girls out there cuz they have already gone out there like 5 times and once they even got caught. Also I think that Ivy is in the mix somehow maybe even if she accidentaly slipped about telling where the chapel is to someone or somethig little like that cuz of the way that Kate describes her shadow in the night....plus why was she dressed in all black anyways? like the long black trench coat?

Personally, I think the PRIVATE series has just gotten plain weird now. In the book where Reed gets kicked out of Billings I think is where things got weird. Paradise Lost was just unrealistic and I had a hard time getting through the whole book. I'm still going to read the series though. I'm hoping things stop being so weird and go back to somewhat realistic events.

*Spoiler!!!*i think that either sawyer and graham are behind noelle's dissapearance or, noelle herself. sawyer was upset from hearing about josh and reed getting back together, and graham is alread mad with josh, so it might make sense for him to plot something. and graham knows how much noelle means to reed. so he would know how far reed would go to save her.....and noelle, well she isn't really into the whole BLS idea, maybe she teamed up with the billings alumni. i'm thinking either the struggle was staged, or it would've had to have taken strong guys to pull off. it could happen :)

Suspect Numero Uno is Noelle herself and Id think I’d be amazing to have Ivy turn on her I mean she never did like Billings anyway (grandma mansion left for dead thing a while back). Also I like when Reed stays single cause Josh is way too nice for her and I know that ppl are going to eat me out for that but whatever. I agree that the BLS thing has gone a little over the top. Ironic how BLS can stand for Brennan Lange Slade though? Vanished is definitely a good title then seeing as how Noelle literally vanished? I have always loved Noelle and not Reed but the series Is about her so oh well. What would people say to have a spin-off in Noelle's Point Of View? I would love to know how Billings, her presidency, and how that scar on her hipbone ALL got there!!! So many ?s And oh I loved the Ivy-Josh-Graham-Sawyer brawl Kate. I would DEFINITELY join BLS! That's a great idea. Kate, I just love your books. My family and friends (that don't read the books) think that I'm crazy because I get so excited when a new book comes out. But then I get so sad when I'm done reading it (I usually hurry and read them in 2 or 3 sittings) because that means I have to wait months before I can read another one. :( Great job, though. Yes, Noelle Lange, and I would be totally grossed out at the fact that she is a good twenty years older than him at LEAST So gross! I don't know how Reed managed to kiss him after she found that out. I would be thinking: Old lady lips have kissed these, old lady hands have touched these....... EEWWW! And I totally didn't notice that Claire! But that's really cool, and I think it wasn't intended too. Ps. Rosh is amazing because even though they had their fights, nothing can defy their love for eachother and the way the click and the way they understand how the other feels. And Josh doesn't not care about Billings, he just thought that it would corrupt her and turn her into something he wouldn't love as much as he loved her :) If I could choosea guy from a book to be my boyfriend, he would be half Thomas (not when he was dead tho.....:'( )and half Josh.

SPOILER: I just finished the book and I absolutely CAN NOT wait for the next book (Release date please??? And info at all???) And for you guys discussing who gave the BLS book, may I suggest Graham? I mean, they're new characters in the story and we don't really know that much about them. Or maybe it was Jen? I don't think it could've been Ivy, since she was so against Billings, and I don't think it was Noelle, since she was against the BLS at first PLUS she got kidnapped (major cliffhanger...again, when will the nxt bk be out????) And we can't 4get any of the BLS Rejects. I mean, Constance is nice and everything but she must've been REALLY HURT (as we all could see (read?)) and I think if Constance got mad enough and maybe with pressure 4m Missy and Co. (Walt too???) maybe she's capable of kidnapping Noelle...

I also have to agree with Claire...ROSH is AWESOME! I've been rooting for them the whole time. And Noelle, I get why you're confused but I think that ROSH clicks so well because of that fact. Because Josh isn't a part of Billings, I think he gives Reed some perspective that there CAN be life outside of Billings (though it's hard to imagine) and that there are things Reed prioritizes above all else. Plus, she also sees Josh as an example: he's kind and loyal and he usually doesn't beat around the bush with stuff, or his feelings/ideas do eventually come out (the "iloveyou" mini--speech was ADORABLE) and I think Reed does take that to heart and that's what makes her RIGHT as leader of Billings (Literacy Society).

@alan about the whole reed and josh not as intimate, i think that them not being as intimate as she was with thomas and then with upton means that their relationship is more...like they understand each other and out of all the guys that Reed has dated she and josh have the strongest relationship and i think it shows that Reed doesn't need to get it on with every guy (although sometimes it seems like she does)

Also people lets keep the kidnapper realistic please. Ariana is off in a whole different series and id take a lot to get her back to Easton. Also for all you who thought it was Thomas earlier.....uhhhhh he's dead and unless the vanishing and book of spell stuff is supposed to be Private gone fantasy and all coming back to life is pretty much impossible (but would be kinda cool just saying)!! But yes the Billings rejects, the Billings Alumni, Ivy and her sk8tr boy, Noelle herself, Sabine come back from prison or whatever, or Josh are definitely likely suspects cuz they all have their motives and alibis.

While they were about to do "it", I think she hesitated. Idk, I don't have my book with me right now, but I think she hesitated. Plus, she wasn't used to the whole "it" thing because back at her home town, they didn't do stuff like that, she was more vulnerable and innocent. Plus, she didn't do "it" with anyone after that because she realized it's something important in a way, so she's more cautious. I hope there are way more books, because I will cry once Private Ends. Yes, Privilige is good, but Private is WAYx10 better ;) My favourite series :D So when it's over, I will cry till the computer short circuits. just saying. And to those people who wish that Thomas would turn out actually not being dead, yes that would be awesome, but I don't think i would want it to happen. it would be too wierd and change too many things, bcause things have definitely evolved since his death.

Honestly, I feel like the scar is no big deal. Yes, it was mentioned twice, but maybe it was just to show that there ARE flaws on the seemingly flawless, sophisicated elite (like Reed said before). She said something about the scar behind an imperfection on a flawless creature.

Kate, I just love you're book. I'm a old time fan from the start! I was at the edge of my seat when I read the last page. I just love it how you leave us hanging like that. Also, thank you for bring Josh and Reed together!!!! I don't think I could live if they weren't together! I just can't wait until the next book I really want to know what happens next. I mean if you remember how kate described Ivy when the wind blew that she look ghotic, And when the lights went out Ivy could blend within the darkness to get Noelle and have enough time to be back in her spot. I agree with Gabby. I would like to know exactly how many boos the series is going to have. I think that the series should go on to Reed's senior year. We'd get to see her without Josh and Noelle and I would personally love to see what happens when her closest friends leave. I want to know who will become more prominent characters and if she will maybe date Sawyer.

Claire, she had to have gotten the scar b4 now cuz she had it in the very first book but i like what you're thinking about the whole ivy/Jen/josh/reed/Hathaway boys stuff. Totally could go somewhere with that for sure (actually Kate better LOL) About the series continuing without Noelle and Josh I'd think I'd rather die like Thomas and Cheyenne then read on! They make it much more interesting and elite like! Anyway the series better not end anytime soon cuz id cry a river then a lake then probably an ocean. As for the Privilege books, they are seriously going somewhere, in my opinion. A book in Noelle's POV I'd love to read! That'd be very interesting. But, like everything in the world, it has to come to an ending. Sadly. As long as Kate keeps writing, it doesn't HAVE to be the Private/Privilege series, I'm okay. She's an amazing author.

ok, it was totally Ivy .I mean think about it. allll the signs r there. from Ivy hating Noelle (that would explain that Noelle was the random sister took.) also when Ivy was walking into the chapel in the end how Reed said she reminded her of a horror film. ( is it just me or does Reeds paranoid suspicions usually come true) also how Ivy was near Noelle when all the spooky stuff was going on outside cause you heard Ivy say "ow" when someone was getting up ( which could of been Noelle trying to fight her back or something, and even if it wasnt then y would ivy not say something about how someone hurt/hit her when Noelle got took?) finally what really caught my eye was how Ivy completly forgave Reed for everything wit Josh? i mean really. she was just like no it is totally fine u kissed my bf behind my back...and it really sucks becauase Ivy is 1 of my favorite characters:( But seriously Kate this has to b the best book so far, i LOVED it!(: any1 else agree wit me about Ivy?

If you go to previous blogs, you will see WWIII literally just happened there. So just SH. Ok, Reed technically doesn't have Constance anymore because of the whole BLS thing. Yeah, she still has Astrid. She isn't really friends with Sonal, Shane, and Diana. They're basically her backup acquaintances. Yeah, she's got Trey and Marc, but after Book 8, he like doesn't even exist anymore. Gage doesn't count. He's not even a true friend.

Okay, so I really don't think Ivy took Noelle. There just wouldn't be enough time for her to take her and then return before they lit the candle. A few of you have already mentioned this but I think Noelle and the Billings Alumni did it to get back at Reed for continuing with the BLS even though they told her she shouldn't continue. I wouldn't put it past Noelle to be involved in something like that. If someone did really take her, I think it would be a girl. So far, all three of Kate's killers/crazy people have been women and I think it'll be like that in this one. I don't see it being Missy, Constance or London because it would be too obvious. The person who did it has to be someone we wouldn't expect.

Bottom line, it could be anyone. So I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens. I have a feeling that Noelle isnt returning in Vanished, or maybe near the end of it, because of the title of the book. But we barely know anything yet, the kidnapping only happened at the very ending. So I think its safe to say that its much too early for us to be making assumptions.

I think that Paige Ryan left the book for Reed. She probably wants Reed to get into trouble because of what happened to her mother. So, she figures that if she can get Reed to sneak out of her room at night and set up the BLS, then she'll get caught and expelled. Just my thoughts...(:

I'm back! Again. I can't believe a lot of you are still on here from last summer. (SPOILER ALERT!!!) has anyone considered that maybe Ivy hasn't really forgiven Reed after what she did (which was very stupid of her). Maybe it's the whole keep your enemies closer so you can take them down and hold their friend hostage? So she could be behind the Noelle incident. Or maybe Missy and London, maybe even Constance (afterall her best friend kinda stabbed her in the back and took away something that mattered to her a lot) are doing it. Of course they wouldn't really kill Noelle but they could threaten it and etc for their revenge. Or maybe Ariana is behind it. I really do think she'll come after Reed eventually. By the way I used to go by just Ava but I guess there's another Ava so now I'm Ava s.

MC the next privilege book comes out June 8 this year. AND I know I think everyone is dying to know what Ariana (aka Ana Leigh) is gonna do to Lilian (aka Kaitlyn ex in mate at Brenda) because of the murder of Brigit and all. But back to scandal Ava S i agree with you on the whole Ivy deal. I mean I don't even forgive people that quickly, and I'm not one to hold grudges! Also I reread Ambition (where we find out the deal with Ivy and the Billings Girls and her grandmother) and Ivy clearly said that she hated Noelle what she did so maybe that hatred hasn't left quite yet? Just a possibility! And ppl who think it was Noelle herself and the Billings Alumni collaborating could totally be an option too. Also we don't really know Paige Ryan and Noelle's relationship and history that well so why would Paige even have the book??? just a thought...

Jeez, I forgot about the time gap. No reason to yell. I really do think it's Ivy though.People can change but not that fast and not that drastically. I'm so excited Reed and Josh got back together. Kinda disappointed that Josh wasn't very concerned about Reed though, or at least he didn't show it. Plus, continuing to go out with Ivy annoyed me. But at least Kate doesn't make him unrealistically perfect like Edward from Twilight.

The BLS was interesting but i feel like reed went a little overboard with it. i think it is definetly some sort of set up. im reallyyy glad ivy and josh are back together, but i definetly dont think ivy is over it...and i also think josh could possibly be up to something. i think vanished will be amazinggg but i dont think ill be able to wait until august...i hope thomas somehow has something to do with the next book if josh ends up screwing reed over. no offence but the web series in general from the story line to the actors are a complete disgrace to Kate's novels. I would LOVE it if there were actually a movie or television show about Private, it would be much more interesting than gossip girl.

yea this book gave me goosebumps, it is soo good! cant wait till vanished and the other prequel thats upcoming.. and for the noelle kidnapping incident i thought it might be those three girls that got kicked out of BLS.. i think its missy, constance and lorna..? i think its either them or the billings administrative people .. but this book is just awesome i get chills everytime i read it! haa

Alexa, I agree with you about Noelle. And my favourite Private characters are, in order, Reed, Noelle, Tiffany, and Rose, and maybe Astrid because she's so funny :) And I'd date an alive Thomas, except without the drinking problems and bad substance stuff. Hey. I thought I read once that girls were trying to watch the web show but could only find the first one. Well, I watched the trailor and at the end these icons came up on the screen for the rest of the episodes. And then the first episdoe was in the box under the tab titled "the show." pksonone. What do you mean about Josh being rude to Reed even after he found out she was drugged? Are you kidding? he was going to forgive her before he found out, afer she got him the paintbrush. And he was so mad at Sabine for drugging reed, and he was so sorry for what happened between him and Reed after the dash incident once he found out. Not to mention they would have gotten back together right away if it weren't for ivy. Josh is really the most considerate guy she's ever gone out with. And if he didn't care about her, he would have only been mad over the incident with Dash, not hurt. And they wouldn't have gotten back together if he didn't like her. Not to mention he saved her life!

well he didnt call her, like he promised. Not even when she got pushed off the boat, or when she was abandoned on that island. So you cant say that hes perfect, otherwise he would have called to make sure she was ok. And also about that whole life saving thing...sawyer saved her life too, twice. When no one else was there. Also, Josh didnt believe reed about the whole dash thing, but Sawyer stood by reeds side when no one believed her about getting pushed off the boat. I know those two are different, but sawyer was always there for her. and im not trying to sound against josh or anything because im fine with them being back together, but he was also very against reed being in billings. And we all know how much billings meant to her. just saying

Okay, Josh always doubted Reed. He hated Billings with like a burning passion, and he absolutely NEVER supported Reed of what she did that was Billings related. She always had to remind him like "Hey!" or "Thanks for the support." And then Josh would be all like, "Oh, sorry, I meant good luck." etc. etc. Perfect boyfriend? I think not. He was never supportive. But personally, I think Reed should lay low and single for a little while. She needs to find out who she really is because right now she's going bi-polar on us and I seriously can't tell who she is.

All very good points, but this really doesn’t have anything to do with Sawyer. And about the island thing, well, they never really went the let’s stay friends way, so it would be kind of awkward phoning up your ex-girlfriend just to chat, when you have a girlfriend who’s recovering from a gunshot wound But I know Josh would never take Noelle, because he's already experienced the jail life, and lived with two dead roommates. He knows what it feels like to have your friends taken and killed. He wouldn't do that. Especially not to Reed.

And, also, I never said he was perfect. No, he doesn't support her as much as he could with Billings, but really the lack of support was because he was afraid she would lose herself in Billings, and he loves her for who she is. He was afraid of her turning into something he wouldn't love. But he has always had complete faith in her, and he trusts her. You might fire back about how he didn't trust her after the Dash thing, but why would he trust her and give her another shot? I mean, she was drunk(or at least, so they thought), and that was really her only excuse for doing what she did, which does not make you cheat on your boyfriend. Also, she had liked Dash before that, so she is a little untrustworthy.

. Anyways, what you think of josh is your opinion, so it's really not up to me to decide why you should like him :) But about the Upton thing, they aren't together anymore, him and Reed. So he really shouldn't think anything of her and Josh, because he's probably gotten together with girls too. And as for Josh seeing the texts, he shouldn't make anything of that either, because they were friendly texts, and he was with ivy, so therefore she had every right to get together with someone else :)

ok so if people dont want spoilers, then what are we suppost to do? This is a blog for the book, you go on it to discuss the books and what you think will happen and stuff like that. Thats the whole point of the BLOG. So if people dont want spoilers, just aviod the site until you READ the book. And I agree with julie, the book has been out for over a month now and lots of us are tired of waiting for everyone to get the books, because we want to talk about it now.

Its like a month plus past the due date of the book pretty much 80% of us have already read the book so we can't necessarily help you out with not spoiling it, it comes to the point that you shouldn't read what we put or just don't come on the site all together or you're just going to cause problems.

Hmmm. Long time no comment. SPOLIER ALERT(since some people are miffed about that) 3 suspects! 1. The Hathaways: It's makes sense in a way. Reed broke Sawyer's heart and she's with Gramham's like, #1 enemy. 2. The Reed Haters. They want revenge I guess? 3. Tyra Ann I totally forgot about the whole Graham-Josh-Reed thing so possibly could turn into something. Why doesn't everybody just keep your opinions to yourselves? I still say there isn't enough evidence at all because Kate didn't really put a lot of details this time. But that's the point, to not have enough evidence to guess who it is. But, the problem is, if you keep guessing, you're going to be smug you got it right, but then you're also going to be bored when you know you're right.

ok if u have enough time to come read a bunch of comments on this blog and then comment on how people r spoiling it, then i think u should have enough time to read a book, hello its only like 200 pages! why dont u spend ur time READING instead of creating problems. If u love these books as much as i do and even come to comment on it, then i wud think u would put some time and money aside so u cud get it and read it! then there woud b no spoiler and evryone cud shar their opinions. U really cant come on a site about nothing but private and get mad when people are TALKING ABOUT PRIVATE, thats the whole point!!!

**spoiler alert** Okay, so i think the book was a fake. Like, wasnt Jesseica Billings the founder? Not elizabeth whatever? And why wouldn't Paige and those people know about it? As for who took Noelle...my guess is either Ivy, Paige, or herself. Ivy is just way too...nice? She hated Billings so much and now all of a sudden she's this huge part of it and totally okay with Reed, head of Billings, kissing her boyfriend? Um...no. Then there's Paige, who I think might have done it because of the whole "we warned you" thing. And finally, maybe Noelle staged the whole thing? She was so against re-establishing Billings, and I just don't see her being a victim in any situation. Noelle might have staged the entire thing just to scare Reed and distract her from BLS. ~Lili~

Why is it so hard to put "spoiler alert" before your comments? It's not that difficult to do and it would stop all the arguing. If she hasn't read the book yet then who cares? I know I don't. Alright, thanks for clearing that up for me, Julie H. you know, I think that this blog as wy to much drama than a blog should. Justine, no matter what you say, there are always going to be people who don't put spoiler alerts, whether it didn not occur to them at the time, or they just didn't. no one forced you to read the comment that was posted AFTER yours, which means you returned after posting your comment to look at the other comments, or something. And i'm sure that there are other people who had parts of the book spoiled for them before they read it. i already knew the two main parts before I read the book, but not me or anyone else is throwing a huge fit about it. so please stop. we didn't intentionally spoil the book for you.

I feel for you Justine. I did the same thing too. Getting caught up in peoples opinions. I mean facts are facts and opinions are opinions and sometimes they are easily misunderstood. I totally understand the difference now but yes glad you could read the books and I will try to put Spoiler Alerts from now on but sometimes I forget as we all do when we are too enthralled with something so good. And yes Hunter and Abrielle chilling out would be great. But anyway about the DVD I am not sure but I really hope that they don't because the whole series is WAY off down to the characters. To me nothing fits and is like the books. Anyone else think so too???

OKay I am so happy Rosh is back together, as for BLS so cool and yes i would join! Who kidnapped Noelle? hmm Paige and Suzsel make sence but then they dont they're mad at reed plus they know the Lange family why would they mess with Noelle's dad he can get scary remember the morning after Sawyer rescued reed from the water when she got pushed off the boat? there are easier ways for them to mess with reed than take Noelle. When Paige said "You've been warned" I think maybe she was refering to something bigger than her and Suzel maybe there is some1 above the Billings alum

The Book of Spells has nothing to do with Private or Privilege. It is about how Billings got started. We probably won't know any of the characters in it. And Katie Mac, I am sure you wouldn't be saying that if the book was spoiled for you.

Robyn. I actually came on a couple days ago to post this: Hey. I thought I read once that girls were trying to watch the web show but could only find the first one. Well, I watched the trailor and at the end these icons came up on the screen for the rest of the episodes. And then the first episdoe was in the box under the tab titled "the show." Just thought I'd let you all know. :D I hope that helped!

Yep Justine you are right on!!! They are at the end of the trailer for anyone still wanting to watch them. I hate them to be honest because nothing is like the books at ALL. Like Noelle has dark brown hair not that blondish color and Blake Pearson graduated before Thomas even came to Easton. Also Ariana didn't strangle Reed in the book she had a very nice knife to help her out. ?????????????? But anyway I want them to redo and make it into a TV show or movie.

Katerina ure totally right about everything being different. I mean Dash wasn't even in the thing and he's kind of important. But anyway I would LOVE something about how the foursome met and their freshman year and all. And yes I am way curious about the whole Paige thing cause all we know is her family was in Billings and she is related to Missy whose family was in the hierarchy too. Things hopefully will be pulled together in the book of spells about the Ryan's Lange's Hathaway's and Thurber's and the roots and beginnings of BLS and Billings. Also if you love Private like I do Fan Fiction is entertaining and imaginative while we are waiting for Vanished. I just thought something in the meantime to keep our minds open and possibly new ideas/ possibilities about a lot of things...

Back @ Hunter I gotcha. Some publishing logistics and all abut we can hope and wish that maybe August will be here before we know it. Just Maybe. BTW totally agree with a lot of ure ideas just thought I'd let you know! Anyway @ Jacqueline it could be a setup for Reed to test her loyalty or maybe someone else but who knows. Part of me wants someone other than the Billings rejects or the alums. I want Kate to get into hoe Missy Thurber and Paige Ryan know each other (other than they're legacies). Also wanna know more about the Hathaway's sister Jen and the whole dating Josh thing. I guess there are a lotta holes that need to be filled in this so called "puzzle!"

not true.... sometimes. When someone is standing in the middle of the road when a car is coming, its their fault if they get hit, along with the driver of the car, because they both had the chance to avoid the hit. So not *everything* happens for a reason. :D And I know that her writing her books more than the blog will not affect the release date, buttttttttttt it could change the amount of pages that are in the book.... :D :D

Katerina haha yep its my favorite quote too and how old is your sister??? And yeah Ariana can be a bit intimidating at times :) But Hunter yes maybe it will be longer like some of the books have been cuz I'm sick of it only taking me 2 hours to read the dang thing. and like 4 months to get the next one!!!

@hunter i think tht maybe noelle is right, everything does happen for a reason. that car accident example you gave well maybe those two people were meant to be together or whatif one of them had cancer and when they were taken to the hospital after the accident the doctors found it and were able to take care of it before it spread, which would mean tht getting in the accident had saved their life from cancer, just a thought i take a philosophy class and were currently studying this kind of stuff weather everything in the universe is pre set and we just dont know it free will and what it means all tht

But thats not things happening for a reason, that was the person being stupid enough to stay in the middle of the road and evilness on the drivers behalf for not swerving to avoid the person. And by saying everything happens for a reason, its kind of like relying on fate. it's like saying every dying person is dying for a reason and every person is fat for a reason... Not everything happens for a reason.
