AMAZINGGGG! The first chapter was pure genius!!!! I am sooooo excited for Sweet Deceit to come out!!! As soon as I finished Perfect Mistake I was practically salivating for the next book in the series!! So June 8th needs to hurry up and get here!!! First, Ariana could not have put it on Reed's bed. She was still in prison at the time, which would be before Privilege started so we would know about it. And Gemma, the Book of Spells is the story about when Billings and the BLS was created. It comes out at the end of the year.

The Book Of Spells is about the start of Billings House For Girls back in 1915, or some year around there.

Here is what the Book Of Spells is about (I realize people already answered):< A Private prequel that tells the true origins of Billings House!> Meaning how Billings began and it takes place at the Billings school for girls? correct me if i'm wrong In the 1900's with the ORIGINAL Billings Girls meaning no one from the Private Books but people mentioned in the BLS.

WOAH! Kate, I think you already have gotten the proper welcome back so I will skip that and just say that 1st chapter was beyond amazing. I loved it and I cannot wait to see what Ariana does to Kaitlyn. I am just hoping that Kaitlyn has some slip ups and that she doesn't always out do Ariana. I wanna see this psychotic girl fall at some point. Love the idea of Stone and Grave (kinda like BLS with Reed in a way) a lot! Also her and Palmer (Lexa's ex) should get to know each other more before hooking up. I think that they would eventually be cute 2gether. And about Book of Spells color me intrigued fir sure. I love a good history lesson and what better way than to it be about Billings. hahaha <3 Jennie

Next privilege book (sweet deceit) is kind of...fine even the began of Brigit's death. I think of the book of spells of another prequel of private is about the start of the billings, might think of Jessica Billings went to easton academy back then and before billings started it there's another house to take part of hazing before Billings started as another left off... don't know yet...?

Thanks Stephanie and Abrielle for backing me up on that! And I totally agree with you Brina. I wanted to kill Kaitlyn myself when she put on that faux facade at the memorial. I feel bad for Ariana too, but hopefully she'll be able to put Kaitlyn in her place. Can't wait for it. @ Nicki I am psyched for June 8th this year for the very same reasons. Shealyn I noticed that too! She called her Kaitlynn instead of Lillian but I'm POSITIVE it's a typo. It MUST be confusing for Kate to have to change the names back and forth so much! @hunter nope it happens twice both times BRIGIT says it, I found the part : when Brigit is walking in the heels and then trips and hits Kaitlynn in the face, Brigit goes "Sorry Kaitlynn" and then again in the same scene when Brigit and Ariana are alone and Brigit goes, "Kaitlynn's pretty cool, huh?" But Kate's aware of both of these already:)

@ Sue if you scroll down then you should be able to see the pages of the book which look exactly like the tangible thing. Also above the cover page there are blue arrows that go to the next page as well. Hope this helps! And yes Hunter someone must have seen Kaitlyn do that. And if they did I guess we will find out. Yep Jillian I think that it's Kaitlyn because the girl on the cover of Pure Sin looks like she could kill. Shes got that veneomous look in her eyes. @Jillian, I think that Kaitlynn was the one on perfect Mistake :P @Lexis That was unethical, unnecessary, and uncalled for. I believe that everyone in the world has their own opinion, but to voice yours so that you put everyone else's down was very immature of you. The only reason anyone would go on a site full of fans of a book, to diss the book and writer, is to diss the readers, and because you want a fight you're to scared to make in real life. Garunteed if you knew someone at your school who liked private, you wouldn't say a damn thing. So do us a favour and respect our opinions, and leave the sight if picking fights and dissing is all you have to say. @cali, I have no idea how its going to end, but im hoping that it ends with arianna putting an end to katelyn. @ julie, agreed, I really like the couple. But I dont think that palmer would do that to ariana. At least I hope not. @ WOWyourNOTcool, agreed with everything you said. I usually have some ideas, about how ariana could get herself out of a mess, but I dont know about this one. Hopefully everyone will understand, because they will eventually find out about it. You know what would suck?! if katelyn killed palmer. omg! I'd be so mad.

no, i dont think so. too much of a time difference. with reed, its like a year and about two months since ariana blew her secret, and two years for ariana. and kate said she only has signed on for 14 private books and 6 privilege books. (though i hope both of those numbers are extended.)

to all those who are worried about Kate not posting, just because she may be done writing vanished and sweet deciet, doesn't mean there aren't other things she's working on. There's book of spells, She's so dead to us, Pure sin, and possibly even another of the books she doesn't write in a series1 you never know with Kate! But i prommise that I wll not stop reading her books just because she doesn't post on her blog often. I mean, what do you prefer more? jillian, what are you expecting her to post? She already posted the first chapter of sweet deceit, and she usually posts on the day it comes out.Because she can't really ask you questions about a book that hasn't come out yet! :D And i agree with whoever it was that said she has a life beyond writing. (but at the same time, she's still a murderer, so really she oughta be back in Brenda T, but that would make the series so much less exciting!)

GENIUS. but there's something about Jasper that wierds me out... he's up to something, and FYI, I DON'T think Lucy is a dog!!! Stone and Grave seems a little sketchy, and I DEFINITELY don't think the Fellows are so easily silenced, they're coming back somehow! What if they accidentally pull a Thomas Pearson type thing, where they take like, Lexa (since she's president) or Palmer (since he's the most popular guy, and they probably wouldn't want to hurt a girl) and things accidentally go too far and he dies??? @Abrielle, i guess you're gonna have to read the book, but there is a Kiran in the Private series, which in my opinion, you should read in addition to the privledged series. She used to be one of Ariana's best friends, and she makes a guest appearance in Sweet Deciet!

btw, this is my last ***SPOILER ALERT*** but seriously, how is Lexa going to explain to the other Stone and Grave members why Ariana doesn't have to turn in the picture of Palmer? "oh yeah, she's exempt because she saved my life by killing Lilly, but keep it a secret because we burried her in my pet semitary,"??????? HOW is that gonna work out? I'm just really glad she didn't turn in the picture of Palmer, but at the same time, she didn't have to get THAT kind of compromising position! I didn't have to read the Spoiler Alerts (which I didn't), but to scroll down the page and read SPOILER ALERT one after the other after the other, it felt like you were giving away the ENTIRE book, so that's why I got a bit angry. So I'm sorry about that. And to whoever suggested making a Private forum, that sounds like a really, really good idea! Especially for people who are new to the series and don't want things ruined for them. On this blog, everything is just jumbled together, so it's very confusing at times.

Guys, it's simple....if you are reading someone's comment and it comes across "SPOILER ALERT" and then your eyes are tempted to read the CAPS comments...just force yourself to look away, it's as simple as that. No need for fighting about it. Technically it is your fault for reading it and spoiling it yourself. Because Kate did specifically tell everyone to put a spoiler alert in front of their comments. And if they did not, then there's a reason to be mad. What I usually do is READ THE BOOK FIRST before you come here and read all of the comments. It is usually more fun commenting when everyone already knows what happened so that they can discuss it. Happpy READING!

What sucks is that spoiler alerts really don't say what book you're talking about :P because whoever saw the spoiler alert could think, oh, its for Scandal, or any other book. They wouldn't assume that it was for a book that wasn't even out yet. And if they're already caught up with the reading,they'll think they can read it. There were spoiler alerts, you really have nothing to complain about, unless you're illiterate or blind (and I don't think either is the case), you should have known. And from what you said, you read the spoiler alerts. I can't physically be with you to hold your hand and cover your eyes. Eventually, you're going to have to grow up and stop whining.

Damn all you people who got the book early1 i hate you all! lol jk, I'm just really jealous and wish I could be where you guys are for five minutes so I could buy the book too :) I really am dying to read it! I don't think the book is spoiled for me, because I would have found that out anyway. But now I'm totally really eager to go buy the book, while before I read those spoilers, I was just going to order it from the library and wait for it to come in :P but now I'm definitely buying it! I think Kate's forgotten about us...I love all her books and everything but ever since the whole phrase of the Private webisodes where she kept posts up and going...not many posts since, quite disappointing really not to mention that the webisodes were only shown on this website for fans for free in only a couple of countries...fans in Australia and other places still havent had access to them, and putting them up on Itunes not help the fact either...why do fans outside of US, UK, etc dont have to pay to enjoy them and also get the new books out like months before us? it's unfair!!

Audrey, I apologize for fighting with a bratty 11 year old. But this is a life lesson for you, people who don't know you, don't make excuses for your poor manners, only parents do that. I didn't know that you were 11, so I saw only a very rude person telling me to "just be quiet." Which is in fact a rude statement. So I responded accordingly. In the future, be more wary of what you say because a) when you don't know people, you don't know when you've picked a fight you can't finish, and b) poor manners are never going to get you anywhere in life, and the sooner your parents teach you that, the better off you will be.

lol It's 214 pages long, so a little shorter than Scandal. The whole BLS thing was a little hasty, like, everything happened really fast (and I personally don't think ivy getting in and all those others getting cut was very fair), but the end was definitely worth it. I just started reading the PRIVILEGE novels like 2 weeks ago and i'm already on Perfect Mistake. It's awesome, i feel addicted to it. I didnt even know that the PRIVATE series came before PRIVILEGE, i just thought it was a completely different series. Now i have to back track and start PRIVATE. (this sucks) I used to sort of feel sorry for Ariana, but when i watched PRIVATE on this website, my whole perspective changed. Is that wrong?

Well, I certainly feel old. I know this has been a topic of heated debate but was just wondering if maybe we could have a peaceful consensus on what standards all spoiler alerts should reflect? I would hate to put an inadequate SA and ruin anybody's reading experience. Likewise, a few people have (inadvertently, I'm sure) spoiled one or two details for myself, so I was just hoping to know specifically what to avoid. What about an all caps-locked "SPOILER ALERT - XYZ BOOK", succeeded by a few lines of space, and followed by a predominantly lower-cased paragraph, like so: "SPOILER ALERT - SWEET DECEIT Etc etc etc in lower case." I think the lower case of the body paragraph is nearly essential, as THIS TENDS TO DRAW THE EYE INSTANTANEOUSLY. Please ignore me if you think it's a terrible idea, I just think it might be both a considerate and easy way for young adults to discuss the books! Do unto others as you would have them do unto you! Oh my gosh. I am getting tired of this. Every time you pick up a PRIVATE book, some shocking secret is solved, a cryptic threat is unearthed, and some love triangle forms (or continues). Then, the book ends with another shocking revelation that leads into the next book, and we start the whole cycle all over again. GET SOMETHING NEW, KATE! Everyone's tired of waiting anywhere from 4 to 8 months to get the newest PRIVATE book when all it really is is monotony with a twist. This old dog needs to learn some new tricks FAST!

@Liyula, monotony with a twist? lol isn't that a bit of an oxymoron? And there's no other way to do it, would you rather nothing eventful occur, or the book end with all problems solved? Because if all problems are solved, what's the point in buying the next book? If that was the way it was done, no one would even write serieses (sp? lol). Sounds to me like you would like more stand-alone books, where the problem has to be solved by the end because there won't be a next one, rather than serieses (sp? lol). I personally am not tired of waiting 4 to 8 months to get a new book, it keeps things exciting. If it really was that bad, you probably wouldn't be waiting for the next one... (All in the friendliest of tones, no more fights! lol)

I have exactly one word for Sweet Deceit: DAMN! ***SPOILER*** Who would have known that Prozac popping model Kiran would be in the same place and same time as Ariana. But seriously I've never been prouder of her in my life. 2 in 1 day. I thought for sure that Kaitlyn was gonna do some more collateral damage first, but obviously that didn't happen. And Lexa being prez of Stone and Grave and the whole tapping thing was crazy like BLS in Scandal. That's all I think about every time. Just one thing. Whats the time difference and all for the 2 books? Cuz I thought about it and it would have to be before the whole Noelle being kidnapped!?!

@Jennie. The time differences are this: Private is taking place a year after the whole Ariana debacle. A year and like a month, because Ariana got arrested in like November and its a year and two months later for Reed in January. For Ariana, she escaped from Brenda T two years after her arrest, and she starts going to APH in the fall after spending all that time with Briana Leigh between her escape and the beginning of the school year. so its more than a year's difference.

I bought SD yesterday at 3 and finished it at 11pm last night.It was A M A Z I N G!!SPOILER ALERT!!!! I am INLOOOVE with Palmer.Im glad Lexa doesnt care about him and Ariana.I cant believe what she did to Kiran.Why couldnt she have drugged her and knocked her out or something?I know she just wants to keep herself safe,but gosh.The book was amazing.Im so ready for the next one,when Ariana and Palmer can finally be together in public.I have a slight feeling Kaitlyn may not really be dead.It seemed too easy for her just to be gone.But who knows,maybe shes gone for good.We'll see..

just finished with Sweet Deciet in four hours! **SPOILER ALERT** I can't believe Arianna Killed Kiran she was completely drunk and probably wouldn't remember anything. wasn't kiran in Paradise Lost so that was in december and she was killed in october so it has to be the following year but if Noelle answered the phone doesn't mean much of anything until we get to read vanished. Anywasys i'm glad ariana got rid of Kaityln but she has to be careful with Lexa and the others or she will slip.

OKK read sweet deceit and loved it i just hate that we have to wait for the next one to come outtt!!!! its weird cause there are only supposed to be six books in privillege and theres already four it seems so weird that everything is going to end in 2 books.. then 2 books with private then book of spells then it will all be over with =( i wonder since both the series are so popular if she will come out with a new series involving the same characters or something idk!!! im gunna read shes so dead to us cause it sounds pretty good... and i know this has nothing to do with kate but theres a book called story of a girl that is really good you should check out i forgot the name of the author off the top of my mind =)

Well all i know is that the next Privilege book is called Pure Sin, Kendalyn. And that the Book of Spells is supposed to be a Private Prequel, which im very interested to see what that's about. Maybe before Reed came? Who knows. But I dont know what the next private book is after Vanished.

Book of Spells is a prequel to private about how Billings began and it takes place in the 21st century so obviously none of the characters we know will be in it, but probably Jessica Billings and the people they mentioned in Scandal.

SPOILER ALERT- SWEET DECEIT! IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE BOOK DON'T READ! So, I finished the book early this morning :) it was epic :) I find the way Kaitlynn died is totally gruesome... gross. I wish she'd just stabbed her with the glass instead... It would look for accidental to Lexa :P And wouldn't people notice she was missing? The school? I feel horrible for Kiran ;( she was so wasted and just didn't understand :P I think Ariana could have convinced her not to tell anyone, and if not, I would have just slipped her roofies so she wouldn't remember anything :P But kill her?

And is she really dead? I wonder if maybe she could swim, despite what Arianna said, but she didn't resurface, did she? Or perhaps she did and Ariana didn't notice. But that's a slim chance. Of course Ariana would make sure she didn't live :'( But I feel terrible for Kiran, cause she was in the wrong place at the wrong time.... :( I liked her too. I'm glad Ariana and Palmer can be together now. Once, a long time ago, I believed Ariana deserved a second chance. Cause she truly seemed like she didn't want to kill anymore. But now I'm not so sure. I understand about kaitlynn, but I really don't think Kiran or Briana Leigh had to die.... :P I can't wait for her other books! Pure sin comes next :) I wonder what will happen!

SpOILER KIND OF ---woah this bit*h killed six people six people! She doesn't deserve a second chance Ariana really needs to get her's i'm sick of her getting away with all her murders and I really liked Kaitlynn she was really interesting without her idk how these books are even going to be remotely interesting. Ariana should of at least killed her in the last book and might I add SHE died SO EASY like I though Kaitlynn was stronger then that wth and Kiran don't even get me started, she did not deserve to die like I almost got sad cause you can tell Ariana didn't really want to do it but she felt she had too I just dont even know how the next book is going to happen and what events will occur Lexa and Ana are going to have to be really sneaky if they don't want anyone getting suspicious. But I have to give Ariana credit she is so good at what she does as creepy as that sounds like shes really effing manipulative and she uses reverse psychology a little to much but you know.

OH I need some positives SPOILER ALERT---- okay I love Palmer I do I want to marry him myself and I'm glad him and Ariana no longer have to hide and i love love love Stone and Grave it's like so mysterious and awesome and I just love it! I also love how Private and Privilege kind of intertwined and how the last person you could of expect to show up being Kiran and how she knew it was Ariana! And she was wasted that was pretty cool.OMG and I loved the little remark Kiran made about Thomas I loled so much. I mean Ariana is interesting to read about don't get me wrong but she get's on my nerves so much. p.s. I love Landon Jacobs as well bye

SPOILER KIND OF I think the end of this book really opens up the possibility of MORE Private charaters coming back because someone had to know where Kiran was. Then the police will definatly investigate because she is a really famous model. Nobody's gonna let this one go. And that means a lot of trouble for Ariana cause if Kiran could recognize her when she was drunk then someone will recognize her when they start to investigate.

WOAH is all I have to say. I just cannot believe Ariana killed Kiran. Yes she was obviosuly drunk and murder was a little harsh, but if you think about it, if Kiran sobered up she'd still probably remember that she'd seen Ariana. and Yes @ Katie I guess more of the Private characters will have to come in to investigate why Kiran's phone always goes straight to voicemail or is disconnected. I wanna see Noelle recognize "Ariana" and see how that all plays out. I have a new respect for Lexa even if she is the resident of Stone and Grave. She just seems sad sometimes and I really enjoyed seeing her in some leadership. I hate Ariana and Palmer together. Im just gonna say that. I liked her and Hudson better, but what Ariana wants she gets obviously. OH and @ Alycia I totally saw the premire of Pretty Little Liars! It was pretty good I have to say! Love Lucy hale as Aria Montgomery BTW! I just hope that they stay true to the book! :)

@Brianna keep in mind Privilege and Private are like a year and a half apart so Kiran could be in any Private novel because she's still alive at the time so Privilege is kind of like the future.

@Kayley SPOILER ALERT! about Kaitlynn dying so easily, it's because she didn't see Ariana and Ariana hit her on the head from behind with a vase or something. Don't you think you'd be a tad disoriented after that? And then Ariana angled herself so she could push her into the window, and after you've just been stabbed with millions of pieces of glass, well, the cahnce of you surviving when someone is trying to kill you are slim :P but I do find the way Ariana killed her disgusting.

But with her gone to book will be able to move on to new stuff. @ Jennie, yeah, I feel bad for Kiran too :( she so didn't deserve it. I mean, it's not like she was gonna go running to the police or anything. She was just happy she wasn't dead. Im not sure who id rather belong to yet honestly- i mean s&g seems pretty awesome but we dont really know that much about it like we know about billings. Billings is specifically meant for woman while s&g is co-ed so maybe billings has more of a success rate if ur a woman than s&g?? idk but we dont really know that... @ GEMMA i know there is only two books left in each series because i read it somewhere online it gives the names of the books but not the release dates... plus im mildy obsessed and know just about everything i can about both series lol.... and omg what if now since palmer and ariana can now go public with each other it all seems too good to be true for the drama to end so i wonder if as soon as they are able to go public, they break up o9r something =x!!!!

jenna, Noelle's kidnapping had nothing to do with Ivy... It was the past Billings (alumnis)... the ones who were blackmailing/ threatening Reed. *Sweet Deciete spoiler* WOW I was so shocked!!!!! Kiran Hayes... how could she die!!!! I cryed... after all she went through with Reed. I am so mad the books ending was PERFECT until the last chapter!!!!! POOR Kiran... maybe it was a dream... wishful thinking. UGH!!!!! At least Ariana made it out ok. What if that guy at the bar saw them talking?!?!?! Poor Ariana she doesn't need somthing else to worry about...

Julie H, OMG really? I didn't find the episodes that well done, because there were a lot of missing details and no other characters other than the main ones :/ i really liked Natasha, despite the fact that she's lesbian :P And yeah, I believe it is Soomie on the cover, because if you look, the person on the cover kinda looks japaneese :P just a hint of asian there. Origonally, I thought it was lexa, but when I got the book I was like no way, this girl is asian! And yeah, it sucks that Kate hasn't been posting, but I do believe she's just really busy. She has a social life, as well as a bunch of books on her plate :P

SPOILER!!!! how could ariana kill kiran??? that was so effing stupid.... and i also agree that barrying kaitlynn i the back yard is def not gonna work REVELATION!!!! so back to the original private series i now just had a great revelation that ariana was the one who kidnapped noelle. yeah i know, its a little out there, but think about it: ariana is insane in that she killed kiran because she was so paranoid that kiran would go off telling people that ariana was still alive. and after all, noelle was the last one to hear kiran's voice before she died and could set up a huge investigation

Kate needs to get her details straight! On the last page of Privileged, it says that Sommie is Asian, but on the second page of Beautiful Disaster is says she is chinese... And then with Josh, his eyes were blue in the first four books, and then they turned to green... I love her books and all, but she does have her errors...

@ Stephanie...ummm.... I don't know how to say this, but...Chinese is asian.... Because China is in Asia.... :) And Danny, they're right, it's impossible because of the time difference, and why would she let Noelle know she's alive even if there was no time difference? A big investigation won't lead to tracking down a dead person... as far as she's concerned, ariana is dead, and Kiran was the only one who knew it. And Kaitlynn, of course. So by kidnapping her, its just like saying "hey, noelle, surprise! I'm alive!" Noelle does not suspect that Ariana is alive, so it's not like she's going to be, omg, I bet Ariana is alive and she's the one who killed kiran!

Wow. Just finished Sweet Deceit, and don't worry, I won't spoil it... It was amazing though! Amazing job, as expected, Kate. It was myfavorite in the Privilege series so far, lots of drama and suspense! I am so shocked and looking forward to the next book! I just got the book today and finished it today. lol I have been going to barnes and noble every day since june 8th and they were always selling out! luckily I finally got it, I couldn't stand the wait any longer!!! Thank you kate for being such an amazing author. :)

I'm re-reading Private, and it's SOOSOOO different from how the private series is now besides the obvious reasons like Ariana, Kiran, Taylor, Natasha, etc. Is no longer part of the series but like idk the atmosphere is so different the characters as well. dfdskjfhsdkj I miss it. -.- yeah just venting in a way

Julie H, sorry I didn't mean to misslead you... I just thought that they were the obvious ones for the kidnapping...they make the most scence. Not to offend anyone. But who else could it be? Ivy is to sick of all of the drama and she is just trying to make peace with Reed and that wouldn't help at all and she wants to be in Reed's society to, or she would have quite. And after all the alumnis threatened Reed to stop i figured it had to be them. Noelle after all is Reed's Best Friend and a very powerful member of the society.

KIRAN! aww, thats terrible. But Kaitlynn... whole different story, even though i did feel bad for her with the whole "I thought we were friends" thing. And you know, even though Arianna has killed like 6 people now, i still like want her to be happy and to succeed. And she isnt completely crazy. just when she is about to kill somebody, she gets all happy. Thats when she gets all insane. I just cant wait to see what happens in Stone and Grave. I'm sure it's gonna be great. I just don't know if i can wait for PURE SIN though! oh, P.S.: I really hope that LExa doesnt get in trouble for the Lillian Oswald thing. I like her. And i hope Arianna doesnt go back to jail, or the Brenda T. What would she do without Kaitlynn?! i would literally boycott the PRIVLIGE books if Arianna gets caught.

**Spoilers** Ok you guys, while the whole Ariana/Noelle disappearance theory is intriguing, it is so totally false and unrealistic. Think about it. Ariana does NOT want anyone knowing who she truly is. So why would she be putting herself on the line by playing sadistic little games with Noelle and Reed? That would be needlessly jeopardizing everything she worked so hard to achieve. And if she was trying like a last-ditch attempt to kill Reed, she would've just done it when the lights were out. She wouldn't have messed with Noelle.

*SPOILER* Okay, I'm sorry but I really think killing Kiran was not necessary. All Ariana had to do was look at Kiran, say "I'm sorry, I think you've mistaken me for someone else." and walked away. Either Kiran would have laughed it off and forgotten it in two seconds (or the morning after) or still called Noelle. And if she had made the call, then so what? Noelle KNOWS when Kiran is drunk and probably would have laughed about it. It's not like she would've taken a completely wasted Kiran Hayes seriously. I don't know, I liked Ariana when she did what she had to do but this just proves that she only sees murder as an escape plan and is, yes, ingenious but very close-minded.

*SPOILER* I didnt like that they killed Kiran....i wish it wasnt so far ahead in time tho so that they could incorporate it into the Private series but i think it might be too far ahead. Or maybe by some miracle Kiran will live and that is how Privilege ends with Ariana getting caught but who knows...and as far as vanished goes and the Arianna theory someone said it before but is impossible because Arianna is still in Brenda T whatever center because when she escapes it was like a year and a half after Revalation because she said something like i hate reed about a year and a alf ago there was an incident with my step sitser or somethin like that in prvilege so its too soon to be Arianna but it wasnt a bad idea...I think maybe it was whoever left the book for Reed to find but idk...i cant wait for the next book in both series...when does Pure Sin come out???

Yep although I hate the web series (plot and characters not in line with the books at ALL) I'd rather they become a TV show like Pretty Little Liars. I'd be better that way. Just my thoughts and as for the Kiran being killed it happened so we'll see what becomes of it. Whoever said that they would love for the series to combine I TOTALLY AGREE but it could never happen because of the time difference. I would love to see Noelle and "Ariana" face each other again after all the years! @ ASHLEY one more Privilege (Pure Sin out October 5th) and one more Private (Vanished out August 31st) then the prequel (Book of Spells out in December)! all in 2010 though. Cannot wait to see how Ariana turns out and to see if Reed find's Noelle and the kidnapper (whoever that ends up being)!!!

Jackie I like your idea except that it wouldn't work because of the time difference for the books. Privilege is like a year ahead of Private. Ariana is still in her mental institute when Scandal takes place. I still think the books could intertwine though... if Private skips a few months like it did after Confessions. I really hope that they do.

It's like a lifestyle haha! @ Jackie and Katie I really hope this happens. I loved that Privilege intertwined Kiran into it (and although she is dead) it would be AH-MAZING if they combined. Skipping a year with Vanished could possibly make that happen because Noelle is kidnapped and Kiran has "vanished" and maybe Kate can bring it together as like a last ditch attempt at Reed or something! Hey Im not getting Sweet Deceit until tomorrow, but i have no clue as to what the synopsis of the story is, so I dont know what its going to be about. I've read all Private and Privelge up until Sweet Deceit but can someone, WITHOUT GIVING ANYTHING MAJOR AWAY, give me the gist of sweet deceit. The ignorance is KILLING me. Please and thankyou.

Basically Sweet Deceit is about Ariana getting back at katylnn for Brigit's death. And the stone and grave process of getting in. New task, new love connection with Palmer. And katylnn being her little evil self. Let's just say more than one life will be delete from the list of characters. But i can't really say much more without giving away spoilers.

@Ultimate Fan, firstly, I'd like to say I'm an ultimate fan too, and secondly, I don't think Jasper's "in love" with Ariana , persay, I think he just sees her as a great catch and is just really co*cky as he tries to get her in bed :P He doesn't seem like the type of guy to fall in love that easily. He seems more like a sleep and ditch guy to me.

katie, i agree with you privelege is ahead of private, but maybe like you said at some point they will skip a couple months and noelle and ariana will meet again!! ***SPOILER(ish)*** They have to figure out is was ariana who killed kiran... and i bet noelle will uncover that after being kidnapped!!!

I'm reading 'Privilege' for the first time (book one). Been having what I call 'Privilege' parties, where I spend some time reading through it in the afternoon. It's more fun than it sounds. :) Anyway, I'm enjoying the book, and it seems like I have a lot to look forward to.

@ Emily yep obsession for me too! I have total OCD about it. Little secret of mine: my grades at school dropped not because I "didn't study" (what I told my parents) but because I'd read Private and Privilege in class and when I was supposed 2 be doing my "homework!" If they would just give me quizzes on these instead of like Jane Eyre I'd ace everyone lol :) @ Jim yes you definitely have a LOT more to look forward too. I'd love to join in on those "Privilege parties!" Sounds like tons of fun haha! @ Hunter I totally agree Jasper is like the Gage Coolidge of Atherton Pryce! And finally @ Jackie that is my dream thing is for Private to skip time and make it so the series can combine and have Noelle and Ariana meet again after so long! I hope this happens because we still need to figure out how Ariana will get away with what she did and who kidnapped Noelle??? We shall see though!!!

@ Jennie Yes! That is totally the comparison I was looking for! He's like Gage Coolidge except Jasper's a little more selective. he hung around Ariana while Gage would go for any hot girl with a chest and a lower part. Jasper seems to aim higher, I guess.

Sweet Deceit was definatly the best privelege novel so far. i really liked the new character, jasper. i think someone saw ariana kill the character that she killed in the end.

The girl on the cover of pure sin could possibly be a new character introduced in that book. I mean, theres always got to be some challenge that ariana faces :) now that kaitlynn's gone, maybe this is the new person that she has to "defeat"

Guys. This is crazy I am so behind on my reading for, like, 6 series. Hold on lets count. Ok so I have 2 for the Priveledge series, 1 for The Clique, 1 for Private, 1 for Alphas, 1 for Pretty Little Liars, and either 2 or 3 for The It Girl. O, and 2 more books for summer reading. I think I am going to read Along for the Ride by Sara Dessen and Looking for Alaska by John Green. I don't know why I am telling you all this... it's whatever though.

'Private' is ending soon? I thought that Reed still had her senior year to get through. Or is that happening now? I'd hope that at least one more arc of four books would be written. That's just what I hope, though. I love the Reed/Ivy friendship.

About 14 books for 'Private' and 6 for 'Privilege'? Those numbers sound pretty realistic to me. I'm a little surprised, though. After 'Vanished', I thought there would be at least four more, as usual, to conclude the series. Anyway, part of me doesn't want it to end yet either, but we all know that Kate is only human. :) I really hope the last books keep focusing on Reed and Ivy's friendship, since that was just getting started in 'Scandal.'

@ Jennie: The Ivy/Reed relationship is my favourite part of the story. Whether or not I actually buy one of the books usually depends on them. Don't get me wrong, I like the series in general and I have a lot of respect for Kate's writing, but what I like most is the fun interaction between the two, and the nice character development in Ivy.

the events in the privilige books obviously havent happened in private yet right? i mean they say in privilige that noelle, and kiran go to her funeral so obviously they would mention in the private series that ariana had "died", so im curious if thats going to come up in one of the last private novels. I'm also hoping that someone saw Ariana throw Kiran into the river because she was one of the original billings girls from the series, and i dont care what anyone says..i want to see Ariana caught and in jail..shes pure evil. Im curious to see how kate will possibly end these two series..theres so much going on and so many loose ends to tie up before it can end. i am very sad that the series is ending...kate is one of my favourite authors and i loooooove these series!!

A comment above caught my attention and got me thinking. I love Thomas Pearson. There's really no other way to say it. I think he's the reason the first book is my favourite. He was so alluring, such a bad boy, and he did all the things that should make girls hate him. But why do we love him? What made us fall for the intriguing legend? Was it his coc*ky attitude, his looks, his sensitivity? His issues that made him easier to relate to? What is it? Why did this character get us all hooked? How could a character that we were meant to dislike by everything he did make us love him that much more? I think that it was something like his genuine feelings for Reed. the ones that made us know that he felt things like love and loved passionately. But what do you guys think?

hunters comment caught my attention as well. reed also gravitates towards thomas, which, i suppose, is the reason we do as well. reed has the dream about him when she tries to grab the star. thomas is the one who gives he rthe water on the island, and he is the one waving to her when she gets off the island. the fugment of her imagination doent bring up josh or upton to save her life, its thomas. and it makes me really sad that thomas never really got to tell reed how he felt. he did tell her he loved her, i understand that, but that fact that he was willing to change his whole life for her is a whole different thing.

and to add onto that, reed will always think of thomas as the guy who emberassed her in front of all of her friends, lied to her about being a dealer, and took her v card. i mean i am sure she will remember him as the hot, dangerous, soft, and caring thomas as well, but he never got to tell her goodbye, and that kinda feels like and unfinished book. reed doesnt know that he was willing to change for her and ariana is sure not gonna tell her, so her ultimate feeling for thomas in the end, is gonna remain a mystery to her. and that bothers me as much as it bothers her. and i know she said she loved thomas, but just never got to tell him, it just still bothers me how neither of them got to say goodbye.
