New Year, New Series!

Hi everyone,

It's already December 17th which means...PRIVILEGE is almost here! YAY! If you pre-order it online, there's a *chance* you'll get it before the holidays. Can you imagine anything better than curling up in front of your fireplace with an awesome new book and no homework to do? I can't! But don't worry if you can't get it early--it hits the shelves on December 30th, leaving you plenty of time to read all about Ariana's latest adventures before the New Year.

Speaking of the new year, Ariana isn't the only one who get's to start fresh in 2009. Got any plans for your New Year?

OMG i read the first chapter. I am extremely happy and mas at the same time! i am so happy Noelle and Josh and Reed are all right, but why cant Reed just be with Josh? this is soo cruel!

Nothing interesting planned for the holidays. Just some reaing, baking, and lots of family time. Hopefully some reading of Privilege.

hey kate!! plannin to collect my life back and start afresh...this year is gonna be different.. btw, I have a question - how come noelle did not know sabine was arianas sister?? I mean she was her bff and plus she was the president of billings, so noelle being noelle would have looked at arianas file,right?? and she would have seen sabine at Arians house during the holidays or somehting,right??I mean she could have not not known about sabine at all could she??thanks a lot!! btw, I stay all the way on the other side of the world ;P

Avantikka- i thought that too but what i think is that noelle trusted Arriana and so she thought she wouldnt HAVE to look at her info... who would look up there best friend? wouldnt you know... expect that you already know it? also, omg i just read the first chapter...i dont think anyone even thought of Ivy! but im confused wasnt there only one shot? and that girl she passed out and died? haha maybe i read it wrong but it confused me...but totally good!

OMGGG!i read the 1st chatper of paradise lost.i went to the website and my heart was beating faster. i was so excited. it's so good! when josh hugged reed, i was literally crying. i was like "josh still loves reed." i also am so thankful ivy was still alive. so this is coming in feburary? make it january! lol

Kate, I just wanted to say that this has been by far the best series I've ever read. I have read all 8 books in less than a month and a half. I can't wait for Paradis Lost to come out, can't wait to see what happens next. I had one question though, should I read The Last Christmas now before Paradise Lost or read it after. I know that may seem strange but, its the Prequel. I just wanted to know if I should read it first. Mel

My plans include reading PRIVILEGE, then Paridise lost!!! and oh yeah, checking out this awesome blog! not to mention passing notes in class with friends saying how amzing this series is! lol we actually do that... but what can i say, Language arts is just SO boring when you are in an all-girls class!

the first chapter of Paradise Lost was amazing!!!!!!!! i couldn't believe Ivy go shot. but that thing on the home page where it says, "we can't stand making you wait so long for Paradise Lost, so we're giving away a sneak peak" is totally messed up!!!! if that's true, the release date for the book should be moved up at least a MONTH!!! i really can't wait until February to find out what happens next and i'm sure everyone here agrees with me.

AHHHH! I read Paradise Lost 1st chapter, and I was really surprised Josh wasn't the one shot! Also: I really want Reed/JOsh together, but I like Ivy/Reed as friends and I hope that in the long haul Reed and Ivy can remain friends when Josh and Reed get back together!!!!! Cannot wait (all my friends and I used to have weekly book-club meetings each time one of your books would come out, so hurry up Paradise Lost! WE'RE WAITING!

My plans for the new year? I haven't really got any, other than to stick to my new year's resolution, whatever that ends up being. :D Because I never do stick to it. I'm seriously excited for Privilege! I absolutely loved Last Christmas, it being through Ariana's POV, so I can't wait! Though I'm most excited for Paradise Lost. I just finished reading the first chapter, and I was so relieved and sad and happy at the same time that I actually felt ill! I think I had a minor panic/heart attack at the end of Revelation. That's how shocked I was. Can't wait!!!

Not much compared to Reed, Kate! Maybeee squeezing in time to do more writing and research. Not to be blunt (at all ;-)), but I'm looking for my real Dad. Life's been a novel lately. But from what I've heard, there's no time like the new year to start fresh! Can't wait for more Privilege!

My plans for the new year is to get my essays done for transfer applications for film school at UCLA. It is my goal to one day be a screenwriter and recently I have realized that if I work hard I might actually be able to accomplish my goal. I've been working hard all fall finding out as much as I can. Now all I need it to write some killer essays.

I loved the 1st chapter of Paradise Lost. It's so good. And does Josh love Ivy also? I mean, he'd only been dating her for a little bit. And he dated Reed longer--just glad to know he still loves her. I hope they get back together. Also, Kate Brian,I've noticed you changed Josh's eye color from green to blue. And Hale Hall to Hull hall(not trying to be blunt or anything...just saying.) But I love your writing... COULD YOU POSSIBLY MAKE PARADISE LOST COME OUT IN JANUARY?!

Okayy i just read the first chapter of Paradise Lost and i seriously can't wait till it gets out!!!! I hope Reed and Josh get together!!! I know that I would like really suck for Ivy, but still Reed an Josh are like ment to be!!! Don't think i'm like a creep or anything but i kinda wish Reed got shot and survived, because both Josh and Noelle would be there like all sad for her and stuff and I don't know I think it might have been better. so far i've read the first chapter of Privleged. i actually really like ARiana. shes so dangerous and you never know what she will do next. im not saying i want to be like her because if i had to pick a character to be id be Reed. but im saying that she is the best to read about. i love knowing what she is thinking inside her head instead of Reed wondering what shes thinking behind her peircing eyes. so yeah i cant wait for the book. im getting it the day it hits shelves!

hey guys! okay i was just at borders.com and if you type in Kate Brian, you can go to her new private book suspion..and it said its coming out in sep. Also, you can check out another privledge book coming out in june...Kate why are you making us wait so long between books? seven months for suspion, you got to be kidding me. hey amanda! I agree with you but noelle would atleast know that ariana her BEST FRIEND has a sister of all things!! Would you ever consider writing a sequel to "Megan Meade's Guide to the McGowan Boys"? You left it kind of open at the end....I loved this book so much that I couldn't put it down and I never wanted it to end. I read it straight through, without stopping!

hey, kate ! (: i love your books to death and the first chapter for paradise lost is amazinggg. you've got me so hooked and i can't wait for the release. i also can't wait to get priviliged ! i am bouncing up and down as we speak for it. even though i hate to admit it i love ariana as a character. just the whole complex depth of her. <3 i do hope josh and reed get together and that reed and ivy can be friends. they were hilarious together in revelations. my plans for the new year is to pass all of my finals and finish at least half of my book ! xD

AAA and Amanda-Beautiful Disaster is actually the second book in the Priveleged series according to simonsays.com. Also is says over there that suspinsion will not be out until September of 2009. Beatiful Disater will be out in June of 2009.

I love the Private series...but I would really like to know what happened between Josh and Reed and Ivy...Are they friends or more???? You are an amazing writer though and I hope all the puzzle pieces are put together because I hate drawing my own conclusions especially when I didn't write it....!

i really REALLY want paradise lost to come out already! i want Reed and Josh to gte back together but then i also kinda sorta want him to stay with Ivy (just a lil bit). KATE!! will we ever know wat the weired scar that Noelle has is? I wonder who did that do her or what? and y? lol Hopefully itll be in the books :] thanks kate for all the great books

Privilege was soo good! It was already on the store shelves @ Chapters on Dec. 24 and i finished yesterday! I can't wait until Beutiful Disaster!!

OMG! i love your books they are so amazing i just read privilege i was so excitied to see it came out early!!! OH and i just read paradise lost ch.1 it was so great i was freaking out when i finished the last chapter of revelation and was mad that i would have to wait till feb. love the books and please keep writing!

OMG. So since Im just waiting around for Privelged and Private, I decided to read one of your other books. I just finished "Megan Meade's Guide to the McGowan Boys" and I honestly think its so amazing. I wish that it would never end. I love your style of writing and you are truly my idol. i was at the book store yesterday and the books werent out, so it obviously depends on the store/where you live, it also depends how early they stock the shelves, just so you know :] thats probably why some people got it early and the other people (like me :[) have to wait.

Just wanted to kinda add on to my last post on the previous page about the loose ends and cliff-hangers. I don't know if you were planning to...but one thing from the first book that stands out in my mind is the scar above Noelle's hip...i think that you should tie that in to something somehow...

I went to a bookstore on the 27th and privilege was already out...but I live in Canada and I'm thinking "Since when do we get books early in Canada?" Or "Since when do we ever get books 3 days earlier than they're supposed to come out?" It was really weird, but I bought it anyways. Awesome book!

victoria- if you dont see this ill post it on the other one but first is private then invitation only,untouchable,coffesions,inner circle, legacy, ambition, revelation, and in Feb the ninth book comes out which is paradise lost, last christmas is the Prequle which you shouldnt read until you get threw the first book

omg i am in love with your books but i have one question when is paradise lost coming out i am dying to read it when is the release date? omg I hope Josh and Reed get back together but how much i would hate reed to go back 2 billings she has to because it makes the story much interesting because you never know whats gonna happend. so much suspense i love your books so freaking much. ahhhhh. i want to know more!!!!!!! but josh and reed neeed 2 get back together or at least get a better guy idk someone that she really really loves more than josh and thomas if your gonna do that!

Is it me or did the company took money and effort on the cover of paradise. It's badly photoshopped and really kills all the nice covers from the previous installment. Please if your going to photoshop, do try to make the models actually look like they are in the same room, and not floating! And I'm not going to even start with the lighting and the hair! p.s. I'm hoping the cover i saw on amazon is different from the real thing.
