I have a question about the web series. Why is it nothing like the book, so many things are different. Even Taylor, she is not colored in the book she is white with blond curls, why so many changes?

SPOILER ALERT!! WOW. that is all I can say is wow. I got Scandal yesterday. I was so excited that my local Borders had the book early! I read it all last night, and now I seriously cant wait for the next one! I wish I knew who kidnapped Noelle! I seriously had goosebumps during that scene! CREEPY! I personally think that the Hathaways and the "reject table" have more than what they are letting off? idk...I can be a terrible guesser so I'll just have to wait then to find out. sad face:( UGH! I wish Vanished was coming out sooner! I don't know if I can make it till August!

***SPOILER ALERT Oh and btw, in my opinion I think the Billings Alumni took Noelle since Reed ignored their warnings. I think they're just power-taking-must-know-and-have-everything people, and taking Noelle is probably smart bcuz she usually is the strong leader/fighter, but Reed's been through so much already she will definitely figure this one out. And I'm so glad Rosh relives! Poor Ivy, but then again she knew it wasn't true love. I think she will forgive Reed more and more in time. Ivy turned out to be a good one.

About the titles for those two books, I love the one for Pure Sin. but...the Book of Spells one...that just doesnt seem like a Private novels book, if you know what i mean. And i know that its a prequel and all, but still lol. And Kate, I LOVED Scandal, probably my most favorite in the Series. I just cant believe that I have to wait another ten years for the next book to come out. haha.

SPOILER ALERT I really want to know who took Noelle. I don't think it's Ivy because she's already been a #1 suspect and has gone through enough. I don't think its the alumnae either because they would risk their integrity just to scare BLS. Scandal was definitely one of the best. Oh, and please don't break Josh and Reed up again, I absolutely love them together. Thanks for the awesome book!

I liked Scandal but i don't think it was the best in the series. The first four books will ALWAYS be the best for me because of Taylor, Kiran, Natasha and basically all the original Billings Girls; and Thomas :)

Hey guys I didnt want to say anything until now so I wouldn't spoil anything, but for anyone who still hasn't read it, I guess I should put SPOILER ALERT. Ok I thought about it, and I think one possibility that makes a lot of sense is that the people who gave Reed the BLS book (probably the actual, HIGHLY secret Billings Literary Society) are the ones that took Noelle. I think this because I don't think Reed was given the book so that she could start her own club (because if it's as serious as it sounds, Reed picking eleven of the current members of Billings, most of which are no where near good enough for this society, does not fit in with the idea of the society) but it was actually to "tap" Reed herself for admittance into the society. Since they are all about loyalty, Reed is being tested by seeing exactly how much she will do for her best friend, but Noelle isn't in any real danger.

Did anyone notice that Reed acts like everyone else did when Thomas disappeared? I agree with what Amanda said. It is someone messing with Reed like always. KATE BRIAN IS MY ALLAH!! Okay so not really but almost I can not believe the awesomeness of this book. I am amazed at what she can write. I am reading Ambition right now but I sooooo want to read everyone of them. Its embarassing how obsessed I am with this series. SPOILER.............it was definetly paige who kidnapped noelle and she probably had the assistance of her cousin missy and daniel her brother. WHAT THE EFFF!! why didnt they go into the woods and look for noelle!!! no they just went to their dorms hoping for the best. maybe she'll text or call. She was effing kidnapped you heard her scream (remember that far away scream they heard outside..it was hers) her stuff was all over the place like there was a struggle. she was obviously kidnapped and dragged into the woods. if they were too scared to look for her they could have gotten a weapon or brought guys to come with them or even told the security guards that someone ran into the woods or they heard screams from the woods, SOMETHING! but they didn't....ughh.

omg! i got scandal last night and finished it this morning!it's absolutely amazing. SPOILER ALERT!!i really liked Ivy in this book, she was so nice,but i have to admitt i was kinda suspicious of her at first.It made me sooo angry when i was reading the part when Constance and Missy go off on Reed,because they were soo wrong about her,they shouldve been able to handle it better-and Missy NEVER even likes Reed but she's gonna say she treated the one's who were her friends wrong.I was like-you guys aren't friends! but it made me utterly happy when Josh and Reed got back together,i couldn't stop smiling.All throughout the book Noelle was really getting on my nerves,why can't she just let Reed shine.and if i were Reed i don't think i wouldv'e told Ivy-Josh should've been the one to tell her.Anyway,i CAN NOT WAIT until Vanished comes out-time never moves fast when you want it to (sigh).

haha noelle is "Vanished" lol and wouldn't it be hilarious if thomas kidnapped her to get revenge. cause he's not dead he has been living in the woods all this time and saw noelle walking to the chapel.... yeah i know highly unlikely. all i want is thomas to be alive. he could have heard his name when reed and noelle were fighting.. and it could have awaken his spirit.lol or something else were miraculously thomas is no longer dead as we thought. haha wow this is why kate brian writes the books not me. how would you bring back thomas??

SPOILER I know I'm a little late since it was said 37 comments ago but I really love the idea that Amanda posted about Reed being tested by who ever gave her the book and how Noelle's not really in danger they just want to know how far Reed would go to save her best friend. It would be less scandalous but still amazing. Also, I LOVE how Noelle and Reed were fighting about what happened in the end of Confessions. It was amazing because they have NEVER talked about it before; Reed made sure never to bring it up because Ariana was Noelle's best friend and Noelle obviously hates herself for trusting Ariana. But they finally bring it up at the end of the book! Even though it sucks that the last thing that Reed ever said to Noelle (so far) is that she is a psycho for doing that to Thomas.

Haha thanks Natalie. If that's the real reason, it also explains why Noelle wasn't interested in the book or the club. She barely looked at the book even though she loves Billings, so maybe that's because she'd already seen it and is possibly (probably?) in the society herself. That's also how she knew it was a pointless idea for Reed to start a BLS club, because she knew the book was actually just for Reed to be accepted into the real BLS.

Kate, i just got this book at 7:30 pm tonight, and i finished it at 8:30.. i sat in my room reading it for an hour straight. i am soooo glad reed and josh are back together.. it honestly made my night <3 and as for noelle.. you always have a twist on things.. im sure its someone we would never expect. :) when is the next book coming out?

SPOILER ALERT! okay i'm a little upset because I thought everything was going to be okay. and i wanted more ROsh in there because they didn't get back together until the end you barely got to enjoy it because of Noelle being taken. and i like the idea of the billing alummi taken her but i don't thinks its tehm and i REALLY dont think its Ivy. she may not like noelle but she wouldn't kidnap her. and i seriously thought they were going to get caught bc they aren't being secretive enough about their club. and i was so upset when constance didn't get in but i think she was counting on her friendship with reed too much. and i think she is going to tell Walt anout and their going to get caught, but i hope they don't.

Okay, spoiler alert: I liked this one alot! Here is what I think is going on: Okay, I like the theory that the Billings alums have something to do with Noelle, but I think that is WAY too obvious. This is Private remember? Nothing is as it seems. So, here is my theory(: Okay, I think IVY is behind it all. I think that her skateboarding friends (remember that guy she was playing with in the snow?) stole Noelle. Why? 1) Remember how Ivy told Reed to do everything by the book? This is so that Ivy could know exactly what Reed is going to do. (she obviously left the book for Reed to find) 2)Ivy told Reed not to go outside when the bangs were coming outside the door. This is so her friends wouldn't take Reed instead of Noelle. Let me know what you think of my theory(:

But i also think it makes since that it was the BLS Rejects, since Missy is in that group and related to a phsycho.Plus in the text it Said Reed had to follow their instructions down to the letter which kinda sounded like they were throwing her words back in her face,which means it could be the rejects or Ivy.I wouldn't be surprised if Constance took Noelle (innocence turns evil-just like Sabine) because Constance cursed for the first time and snapped for the first time on Reed.When you think about it,all the people that have threatened Reeds life have been the least expected because they seemed so innocent-Ariana,Sabine,and Mrs.Ryan-they all seemed sweet.Anyone else agree?

I finished scandal yesterday, because I had a bunch of tests the day before, and it was AMAZING, just as i expected :) That was one crazy ending! I knew josh dated Jen!! @PAULA, yes I read it, it and (SPOILER) he asked her to the dance, she said yes, and he started to like her more and more, and kissed her after the dance (he liked it, she didn't), and wanted to go on more dates, then Reed had a little encounter with Josh, and sawyer found out, and was upset.

I really liked Scandal. I thought it was an improvement over the last 2 books, but still not quite as good as the first 8. Don't get me wrong, I reallllly enjoyed it though. The only thing that bothered me was how you changed what Reed and Sawyer had. I was excited to read more about them in this book but you totally changed how they were and made it so that Sawyer had a creepy crush on her and she felt NOTHING. I mean really...they had great potential. I'm so sick of Josh Hollis and his b.s. and I thought Sawyer could be such a good match for Reed? But now there's no going back and I know she's going to end up with Josh.

I liked him at first, but honestly...I'm so over that storyline. He was so terrible to Reed for the past few books and I can't even remember what made them good together anyways. Well, I'm pretty sure I'm still not going to like the next few as much just because the people I like are always being twisted into weirdos (Thomas, Ariana, Sawyer, Graham....). Thanks for another consistently good read though

Hey guys, Book of Spells definitely isn't about witchcraft, it supposed to be about how Billings started. So I think that means it's gonna be set in 1915 and have to do with the original BLS girls and the start of the BLS.

**Spoiler Alert** I've waited so long for this book & it was so worth the wait! I can't believe everything that happened in this book. I think that Reed needs to watch out for Missy & Constance. The people who have come after Reed in the past have been close to her & come off as sweet people. I'm so happy that Reed & Josh are back together. My heart melted when they kissed!!! I so hope Noelle is ok, if anything happens to her I will seriously cry! I think the "rejects" are behind this kidnapping! Sucks we have to wait until August, guess I'll have to read them all over again! =)

**spoiler alert** k so. I just wish that Reed would GET OVER Josh already. Loved them together and all, but I love her and Sawyer together soo much more. :( It pretty much broke my heart that they never had a chance, because she was too hung up on Josh. It's like, he didn't call at all, he didn't seem to care, why would you keep going at him?! And omgg, the ending. Just kill me! I don't think it's Ivy at all. She got shot, pretty sure she's out of the drama. Kate seems to like to make random people the culprits, and Ivy's an obvious choice. I mean when were we expecting a MOM to try to kill Reed 5 times?! And Arianna was soo out of the blue! Along with Sabine jeez, just, seriously. Maybe Melissa because she's linked to the Ryans. But I really do think that Noelle is somehow linked within all of this. Because she like..seemed very against BLS (maybe because she knew they would do something, like kidnap her?), and at the end she was acting all weird.

And same with Graham, except he hates Reeds boyfriend. Someone's obviously trying to make her suffer. I'm just really wondering who! Gahh, I need to know who did this. :( Why such a long wait Kate! **SPOILER ALERT** Ivy was TOO CALM when she came back to the BLS, way too calm for the way she had freaked out back at the dorms when she found out Reed & Josh had cheated on her. I think Ivy contacted some of the anti-Reed club (MISSY AND PAIGE), and came back to tear Billings apart from the inside out. OR I also think this was the work of adults, possibly the Billings Alumn? ORRRRR I saw this on another comment and I think it's a really great theory, maybe reed was given The Book not to start her own society, but as a tap to be tested to join a much BIGGER underground Billings society. And maybe Noelle is a part of it, like, Noelle's reluctance to join the BLS could have been a test of if Reed just gave up or not, and the whole kidnapping thing, if it was pitch black, how could the kidnappers have known exactly which one was Noelle to grab, I think she could have been in on it as a loyalty test... ALSO Mr. Hathaway is suspicious. I don't like him.

Ahhhhh, finally! I loved the entire book, start to finish (as I do all of the other books Kate puts out), but the best part of this book is without a doubt when Josh and Reed get back together. I'm just such a sucker for happy endings, and I wanted them back together very badly. It seriously made my night when I read that part, and not even Noelle's disappearance could ruin my good mood, although her abduction did freak me out. I love Noelle! Now I DEFINITELY can't wait for "Vanished." August can't come soon enough!

OMG. It was the best book ever!!! And the web series it totally diffrent! Didn't Reed start of in Pemberly?? Then she saw the girls in a lunch table and started to talk to them? Not go straight to Billings, and get into a "fight" with Noelle? And umm didn't Noelle have brown hair?

so two thought: one is that the this was an extreme warning by the alums and headmaster to stop and to trick them into stopping, but that would just be too weird and not any fun, i mean it wouldn't be interesting if noelle wasn't in any danger right?

and second thought is ivy is definitely up to something, i mean she was gone forever, seems to have some serious issues, and i don't trust her still. i think it was soo weird that reed had that creep "horror film" vision of ivy at the very end....definitely a clue, and kate gives very subtle hints out, that's why i wasn't surprised that mrs ryan was upton's "other woman"..i thought it was kind of obvious. but i lovvveee the books and hope there is some weird twisted plot..please bring Ariana back that would be interesting at the very end of this series.

i have not read scandel yet but i bet it will be good. and i totally agree with george. i wish that kate would some how include ariana back into the story in vanished. i liked the books when they all were in it and every since she left and then "died" it hasn't been the same.

SPOLIER.....im so freaking happy josh and reed got back together. josh is my fave character!!!! i love sawyer too but josh and reed are meant to be together. i hope they stay together. <3 sawyer is kinda the good friend that reed needs to stand up for her when josh isnt around. i hope noelle doesnt get killed or something. CANNOT wait until august. my friend and i are obsessed w/this series. now were both reading the privilege books. my fave characters are ivy, josh, reed sawyer, & noelle. PRIVATE IS THE BEST SERIES EVER!!!!

ok so what in the world is the book of spells and where did anybody hear that from because i have read all the books in the private series so far and havent heard about it yet... and i would like to join the bls it would be fun and give me something to do lol but i am glad josh and reed got back together it was only a matter of time and i do agree that its kind of lame that reed and noelle like are barely friends anymore... KATTTEE you have to release vanished early or i think i might die before it comes lol!!!

I think the "Book of Spells" has something to do with the BLS. The girl is in all white which was a ritual in the socioty and look the the script of "A Private Prequil", It reminds me o the writing in the BLS book!
