omg Last Christmas was so good! When I read the other private books i was totally against Ariana, but now i actually feel sorry for her :( This book was soo good, I finished it all in one sitting! I Can't wait for Privilage!

i absolutely loved it! i was surprised by how sympathetic i was with ariana after i finished it. she wasn't as psychotic as she seemed before, she just wanted to be loved. i felt sorry for her; thomas didn't even properly break up with her, he just left her for reed without warning after all she had done for him. i can't wait for privilged!

The Private Series has always been my favorite series of books, and i've gotten SO MANY friends into them...but Last Christmas topped it all. It was absolutley amazing. It was so thrilling and exciting. It was so fascinating reading and figuring out who Ariana Osgood really was and how incredibly CRAZY she is!! She was so unstable and bipolar! I CANNOT WAIT until Privelege comes out...and Paradise Lost for that matter. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep writing these books...I'm addicted!

WOW! That was an awesome book! I started to like Ariana she was so sweet in the beginning! But when she killed....and..... AND..... she kinda started to wear off, she is definatly crazy now! But she just wanted to be with Thomas (not that that's an excuse but....) Speaking of Thomas OMG I miss him he was so..... I don't even know how to describe him! HAWT! I guess! Anyway! OMG I LOVEDDD Last Christmas. it so messed with my head. I can't believe she killed two people before Thomas. I love Thomas's character! and it's so sad hes not in the books anymore. But Ariana killing 2 people, and then Thomas totally threw me. Another thing that was bothering me is that if Thomas did that to Melissa and Ariana, would he have done it to Reed, or would she really have been different. I assume it would be different because he said he was going to tell her about Ariana and him. And I LOVED the ending. The fact that after all that happened, all that she did, she would really wonder if anyone would miss Reed, was absolutely ridiculous,but it was an AMAZING ending!

omg!!!!!!!!!! i loved it toooo death i thought that the book was a perfect addition to series my favortie part of the whole book was at the end when ariana says i wonder if anyone would notice if she just dissapeared. after that i just had a chuckle i thought it was a perfect ending to an even more perfect book. i also loved how you finally found out what happens to her parents. but i cant believe she just let that one kid die on the ice, and then she kills michelle and thomas just stands by her that made me sooooo mad!!!!!! i was like r u kidding me and then he found reed at the end and that made me really happy lol! kate your an inspiration to me you r amazing and i cant wait to read privivelged!!! gilmoregirl3232

Ok, so the book was supposed to come out yesterday. after school i begged my stepdad to take me to Waldenbooks just to get it. They didn't have it, so we called Borders from there. Guess what? They hadn't arrived yet! Ugh, not fair! The clerk on the phone was like, "It says it's in transit. That means it's on a truck, right now." I knew that - I wasn't stupid. I tried calling again today, but they still hadn't arrived. I am so disappointed. If I had gotten it yesterday, I would have been done with it by last night.

katelyn- yup thats sergei! she accuses him of knowing everything about her and thomas and she doesnt want anyone to find out so she murders him by drowning him in a ice cold lake. and no, mel is thomas's ex girlfriend from a totally different school. Easton High. hahaha and daniels (ariana's supposed boyfriend)sister was paige. the "noelle" of their junior year. basically the leader.

I personally think you should do a movie, once you're done writing all the Private novels. It would make a great one, and I know everyone would see it. I'm just so addicted to your books, I could read one in one day. Which I have done already. But I really hope the Private novels keep coming and coming:) Enjoying every moment of it!

************Kelsey*************chillax lol daniels ariana Boyfriend in last christmas, noelle became leader or more like a beta (2nd in command) her junior year because some other girl (cant remember her name)her grandmother was like the founder of Billings and even her last name was Billings. Noelle didnt even like standibng up to her. So ur not really missing much. Just read the 1st chapter thing on the main page when u first come to this website and it will tell about ariana killing thomas then it will go back in time to her junior year (before taylor and Kiran who i absolutaly ah-dore and miss)

i was reading the comments about reed being shot - she obviously doesn't die since theres a #9 (February 24th!) so im thinking either the bullet hit josh who jumped in front of her or she was shot but not killed. and i NEVER suspected anything about sabine EVER! i feel so stupid!

I don't think many of you are misunderstanding Thomas in this book. He didn't go out of his way to hurt Ariana in this book, he was lost just like she was. He got in too deep with her, and didn't realize it until it was too late. I think he was afraid to hurt her, thats why he acted the way he did, not because he was using her. Ariana brought all this upon herself, she was killing people for a guy she had only spent a couple days of alone time with. How would you react if you were Thomas? Yea he obviously did it in the wrong way, but I don't think his intentions make him a jerk, just the way he handled the situation.

You click that and there will be 2 videos waiting...you click the second one and it tells you how there just models and nothing else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, I just LOOOOOVE Private. It rocks so much. I've read the first 4 only but already I love them so much. "Confessions" was soooo way the best but I loved them all. yah it comes out in feb. but idk who said it, but i dont think that making the books a TV show or movie would be good. they would get the charcters all wrong [ i have a specific picture of what josh looks like in my head and if they get him wrong, ill die].

thanks Hannah, after reading this i looked it up on Amazon.com and saw that it was coming out IN FEBUARY i almost died i called my 2 friends who read it and started screaming haahh. me and my friends have a private 'bookclub' i guess you could say, so one would go buy the book finish it and give it to the next so that means if your first you cant talk so i would call random friends and be like "so im reading this book..." and so far no luck in getting them to read them :[ but im trying :D SO EXCITED FOR THE NEXT BOOK!!

I just recently finished Last Christmas, and I absolutely adored it. It was an excellent read, like all the other books in the Private series, and I enjoyed getting to understand Ariana. I know now, how to perceive her from Reed pov, and what was always brewing beneath her unreadable, clear blue eyes. I'm interested in finding out if she will ever overcome her hatred for Reed Brennan, and if she can overpower the grave turmoil, that seems to be a permanent resident twisted within her. I'm looking forward to grasping more of her character and what makes her work, and her life after Easton. When she is away from everything, and nothing is influencing her. She gets to start over, if only she can let go of the everything that happened, focus on herself, and why she did the things she did. All in all a wondrous job. You are the best! I love the Series, keep them coming. I can never get enough... =)

This book is AMAZING! I'm like 20 pages from the end. But this totally gets you the insight on Ariana's break down. I don't necessarily feel sorry for her, YET. but you can tell she was never a totally together person mentally, especially after seeing her mom's history. And one more thing, WHEN IS THE NEXT ONE?!?!?!? :D <3

I thought it was so ironic how Kate Brian put things like when Ariana asked how Thomas was(about his ankle) and he said that it feels like a bat hit him in the head and ankle. Ironic about the part with the bat, cuz that was what ARiana used! I finally got Last Christmas!And I read it in 5 hours... I got in trouble at school for not paying attention in class because I was reading it.This book is by far the best in the series, Untouchable sadly is no longer my favorite, Last Christmas is! I LOVED how Kate tied it all together with how it had started in the first book! Like how in the first one when Reed looked into Ariana's eyes and she smiled and thought that there was something wrong because of the way Ariana was staring at her. And how Ariana was thinking right then that she was going to kill her! I think Isobel and Astrid would be perfect friends, they both had affairs with their teachers! I don't care what any of you guys say Ariana has and will always be my favorite Private character!

Wow...Last Christmas was great! I remembered parts from the Private books that were coming from Reed's point of view, but are now coming from Ariana's. I can not wait for the other Private books to come out, Febuary is just to long of a wait! LOL. I can also not wait for Privilege. Ariana escaping? It's going to be so suspensful! I have to say that Ariana took it too seriously and too fast with Thomas. Meaning: when she kept saying "he loves me". He actually never said he loved her till near the end of the book.(And he was looking behind her then stared at her and said it). Honestly, I guess I kind of know why she murdered them...but I have to say that she's just crazy/mental. It's sad. But she still killed Thomas!

this book was soooooooooo good just like the rest of them, even tho Arianna is a psycho and crazy i really like her character, its so interesting and i hate to saw it because of all the awful things she did, but u kinda feel bad for her at the end of the book. I like her chacter! if she were real, my opinion would be much diff. but its so entertaning. I for one i have sort of grown to dislike reed, shes gotten annoying but i loooooove the books even if they are in her point of view. Honestly when I started reading LAST CHRISTMAS, I had a 'wall'. Whenever I read a book, I kinda put me in that main character's shoes and I relate to them. But for Ariana I had a 'wall' so, I wasn't really at all sympathetic towards her. I just kept thinking, "Oh she killed Thomas. I don't like her." But when I read the PROLOGUE again, after I read the whole book, I let that 'wall' come down, and I felt really sorry for her. I mean, I guess to her Thomas was EVERYTHING! EVERYTHING that made her happy, and she just didn't want to lose that. It made it even worse to lose Thomas, because of what she sacrificed and did(murdered two people) to keep them together.

So after i read the whole Last Christmas book and the prologue, i kinda wondered if ariana was as smart as she said, then wouldn't she realize that there was no evidence against her for killing those two people so Thomas really had no point in going to the police. And who would believe him too right? i mean as far as anyone knew ariana was still the "good girl" and Thomas was still the "bad boy" no one would believe him and all ariana had to do was deny it. does that make sence? please tell me what you think <3

Last christmas was so good!!! before i read it i didnt like ariana and just thought of her as some crazy obsessvie nut. After reading i still think shes a nut but i can see why she hated reed to the point of attempted murder!But i cant believe after spening a few days with one boy she was willing to go all bonnie and clide killing anyone who would interfeard with her and thomas. i think thomas ended it with her because of all the horrible things that she did and he didnt want to get invovled with her cause it would be putting everything in jeperdy for him so he moved on. I just finished Revelation! My good friend and I have read the entire Private Series together, one of us would buy some of the books and then we'd trade so we both could read them! Sadly, for Revelation I just couldn't wait so I borrowed another friend's copy. They both warned me about the ending but I didn't expect that! Although, I'll admit I had always suspected there was more to Sabine, she actually annoyed me a lot. I absolutely loved Revelation and really hope that it wasn't the ending to the Private series, and that if it was we at least get to find out exactly what happens to Reed and everyone in Privilege! I havn't read Last Christmas yet so I'm going to have to buy it tomorrow. Kate, please let there be more to the Private Series, it's definitely a favorite of mine and it would be awful if you just ended it with "everything going black." It depresses me when books end that way. I love your writing and I'll be so happy if there's more to come for Reed in Private!!

KARA: I'm the same! I still think Ariana is crazy but she took the relationship with Thomas way too seriously! I guess that Thomas was just the THING that made her happy and she wanted to hold on to that. But I was wondering why Thomas all of a sudden didn't want her anymore the next year. When Ariana told Thomas that she took care of that girl(forgot her name), I thought that he said"are you crazy?" was that he was surprised she would even kill a person but he just cared about himself. But then after break, he probably had time to think about it and he didnt' want to be with a person like that. I would love to read in Thomas' point of view. I mean, I would love to read what he's thinking.

OMG i heart this series it is seriously the shizz ! ok im gonna be a spoiler so sry dont read this comment if u havent read revelation yet. im totally freakin' out b/c i dont want Josh to die and i want him and reed to get back together b/c they belong together i mean seriously ! at the end when Josh jumped infront of Reed i was like aww u stil love her! is it just me or are these books a little raunchy? w/e its cool im in high school i was just wondering what anyone else thought. Last christmas was soo sad b/c i actually kinda felt sorry for Ariana but then when she killed Sergei i almost cried (almost). I loved loved loved Revelation and Last Christmas, they were both fantastic. I started reading last christmas with the intention of hating Ariana, and then I slowly started to like her, and then she went crazy and yeah I hate her again (: but I love her all at the same time. Oh and I love how Josh and Noelle wanted to talk to Reed and then they were both backing her up. And then Josh protecting her, he loves her at least I think. And I love Ivy, she's such a b... but I've always like her character in a way. And wow I didn't now see the end with Sabine coming at all; you're an amazing writer seriously. Can't wait for Privilege. And please tell me your not ending the Private series like that, I would cry seriously. I absolutely love those books, they make me really want to be one of the characters, and I'm not usually like that with books.

I mean, I was so happy that Josh wanted to protect Reed. But if Sabine was pointing the gun at Ivy do you think Josh would have jumped too?? I mean, it's a total given that Josh still has feelings for her...but is it enough to be back with her and suddenly dump Ivy?? HILARY: I got teary eyed when Ariana did that to Sergei. But the whole thing with Mel...it was kind of the same thing with Ariana. Thomas didn't love Ariana anymore and she took it badly(like Mel). Remember when Thomas said he broke up with Mel because she became too clingy?? Maybe Thomas didn't want Ariana anymore because she was becoming clingy too and/or because he had time to think about that Ariana actually KILLED someone.

I loveddd this book. Between being sick and school, i read this book in about 2-3 days. It was amazing. I'd really love to read Private from Ariana's point of view. And Revelation from Sabine's. Speaking of Sabine, i'm so confuessed, how is Sabine Ariana's sister. Is it her half sister? because that makes sense. Anyway. Loved the book. I didnt neccesarily feel sorry for her but i was just like, "woah now i understand why she's so pyscho". I actually liked this Thomas better then Thomas with Reed, this Thomas was so sweet. I loved this book and the connection and everything. Please dont stop writing the Private series, i dont know what i'd do if u did because ive read few books better then private. :) kudos, K

i think im a little confused in the 1st book thomas gets all pissy at that party in the woods then it says that the next day he came nd seen reed nd told her he needed her help 2 get through nd she said ok but when arianna is confessing she says that the nite he was a jerk 2 reed they took him 2 where ever it was that he died nd when reed tells josh that thomas was really drunk the nite he died then that means he died that nite after he hurt reed which means that they def never had that convo about him needing help????????????????

WOW!!! So i finished all the series in like 5 months (i had to wait for about 3 books to come out) and it is honestly the BEST EVER books i have EVER read! Okay so I've yet to read Last Christmas but I just finished book 8 of the series. I get so into these book it's not even funny. And when I read book 8 my eyes literally filled with tears because of how it ends, no joke. And I've been making up everyone's at Easton reactions for the past two hours now. =] I LOVE THESE BOOKS!

Jacqueline: I think Thomas was drunk because he didn't have enough will power and even though i believe he did really love Reed he just had his ways for so many years that he couldn't stop like that in one day. ANYWAY i am soo happy cuz i came up with a new theory of what happened when Sabine closed her eyes to pull the trigger. okay, A)Sabine shoots reed, noelle, or josh B) Sabine shoots but misses everybody C) Sabine didn't get a chance to shoot cuz the cops shot her! so for the c answer, because i was rereading like the end of revelation again to see if i missed something, and i DID! Reed was saying she heard the sirens wail and that was when Sabine pulled the gun so maybe the cops shot her before she could shoot anyone else! I like the C theory so much BETTER! what do you think <3

i really love these books. i got one of my best friends hooked on them. and revalation was so amazing. i actually just finished it the other night and i went to bed crying at one o'clock in the morning because i was DYING to know what was going to happen. i pretty much can not wait for the next book. hopefully it will come sooner than i think. for now, i read all the time and never stop. keep the books coming and kate, you are one of the most amazing authors i have herd of. keep up the fantastic work. cant wait for the next PRIVATE book in the series to come out! i want to know what comes next.

haha wow its really interesting seeing everyones points of view on arianas character. but im gonna be truthfull. i fell like im a lot like not. Me and my best friend Alex have a theory for the whole thing of Ariana and Sabine being complete psychos (well Ariana just wanted to be loved, but she was still a psycho in the way she killed mel.) ANYWAY what if they were both bi-polar? It would explain why they were somtimes so nice and othertimes complete psychos, plus wasn't their mother mentally ill? Maybe it ran in the family, bi-polar disease can! We were so shocked about last Christmas (we got it from amazon as we both live in sunny l'angleterre) but it was so good! Please comment on our theory!

I mean first arianna killed his best friend, then tried to kill his future girlfriend, and they all accused him of killinh thomas in the first place! i mean i have nothing against billings( actually love it), but after what he has been through with it, i can understand.

OMG! Last X-mas was so good! I'm still in shock that Ariana killed two people before Thomas. No wonder she was so laid back about Thomas' death. I can't belive Daniel lied to her! He was like the goody clean boy. I read Last X-mas everywhere I went. My teacher even had to take it away from me. As for Revelation, Febuary is too far away from now to read it. I had a couple of ideas as of what happened next. If Noelle dies I will be crushed! I see myself in her. Anyway I just can't wait for Paradise Lost. I will die if my mom doesn't take me to get. I really want the spin-off as well.

ABOUT THE BI-POLAR THEORY. haha. I love this theory. It makes a lot of sence too. Either they are bi-polar of just manic deperssive. People with manic depression sometimes kill people but it's usually because they think those people will miss them when they kill themselves. Arianna just seems like a phycopath. I still feel sorry for her sometimes though. The only reason why I don't think she is bi-polar is that she isn't really ever happy or nice she is just pretending to be. Unless you count her loveing Thomas I guess. I don't really know. Good theory though. lol.

Omg! Why would Noelle die. That never even occured to me. That would kill me. Please don't let that happen! This last book was great. Kind of what I was expecting but that's always a good thing. The ending where Thomas is talking to Reed and Arianna is watching really made me mad. I suprised at how angry I felt towards them, especially when Thomas just walks by Arianna. When I was reading it I kind of hated Reed but that's only because I forgot that it was Reed for a second. Then I was like, "Wait! I love her too." Anyway I can't wait for the next book!

Alright, so i just finished LAST CHRISTMAS. And let me tell you, you are one hell of an author. I LOVED both the books. I was on the verge of tears when I didnt see "CATCH THE NEXT BOOK OF THE PRIVATE SERIES IN STORES ON..." and a picture of the next book. I seriously thought it was over. I thought that was the last book. Please, publish the next book ASAP. I CAN NOT WAIT for the next PRIVATE. Reed hopefully hasn't died and will be back at Billings in no time. haha, no. You dont sound dumb! Bi-polar is when one min your happy and the next min ur mad or very sad... its like a lot of different personallityyys! I wouldn't like it as a movie or t.v. show because they may cast the people differently than I expect them as, and there's always no "right" actor to play Josh or Reed. But if they do make it into either one of them, I'll watch it but I won't sign the petition...Can't wait for PRIVILEGED, I've actually never thought about PRIVILEGED having to do with something for PARADISE LOST. But I don't think so...PRIVILEGED is a seperate series I believe.

I think the only reason why it might not be turned into a film, tv etc, is that kate doesn't want us to have a fixed image of what the characters look like in our heads as we read, and would prefer us to have our own imaginative thoughts. god i sound like my english teacher. soz!!!! but anyway she doesn't really want us to have a fixed and aesthetically perfect image of reed, noelle etc, she'd rather that they wre how we imagine them, rough round the edges, facial features how we wnat, emo, blonde, tall, tan,etc.

I personally dont want the Private series turned into a movie or t.v. show because i have already made mental notes of what i think Reed and Josh and everyone else is supposed to look like. And also i really hate that Twilight is turning into a movie because it totally took away the image of what i thought bella, edward, alice, ec. look like. it basically messed up the image i had of it. i think that if its a great book you should just leave it as is. P.S. I think Edward in the movie is kinda ugly so it just ruins the entire thing! haha <3

I just finished Last Christmas! I actually liked Ariana at first, but later on through the story you start to really how insane and obsessed she was. She was just like Melissa but didn't see that, it just shows how crazy she was. Never stop writing this series Kate, we all love you so much!

Kate Brian, you are an amazing writer! Here's my opinion: I love these books. Like each and every book leaves me on the edge of my seat. I keep guessing Anyway, I haven't read Last Christmas yet, but I'll get to that soon But by far, Revelation was my favorite At first, I despised Ivy Slade but towards the end I started to like her. Hopefully-in Paradise Lost, nobody dies. Okay, I really like the characters Josh and Reed and Noelle.pretty much everyone. They all have a different personality and they're each portrayed in different ways. Maybe someone shot Sabine from behind? Or maybe Sabine shot herself. And by the way, I REALLY want Josh and Reed to get back together. Like, seriously, they were the perfect couple. Josh is so sweet and innocent. When I found out him and Ivy were going out, I got so mad. Haha. But in the chapter "A Visitor" I was so happy that Josh was exactly concerned about Reed. I was crying! Anyway, why does the ninth book(Paradise Lost)have to come out so late

Ahh, I was too desperate so I sort of skipped most of the book and read the end. I actually LOVE the series though, and I usually read all the pages. But I was desperate! I think it's good I didn't read the whole thing, people have been saying it's changed their views on Adriana. Feeling sorry for her? PFHHT ! She's still a killer, she's killed. No matter what, most people MOST people SANE people in her position even for LOVE would never kill! No matter how much you loved someone. She have some crazy love antics going on. So STOP with the being sympathetic for that physco. >:(
