No I don't think so but I do think she had something to do with Billings because in the case file under Ivy's name you said she was the first person to decline her invitation in Billings!! So maybe she was do something along the lines of that! I don't know this is just my opinion!-Alice Cox

No. Why would she go back if she knew that no one relli liked her. I thnk it was a last resort because something happened that caused her to go back. I don't think tht it was a plan to like do something bad tho.

wow, haven't commented in a while. but no i dnt thnk its completely true. maybe she was with her grandmother but she heard about what happened to the billings girls and did a little snooping on reed's life and at the same time developed an interest for josh, so some scandal happens with her that causes her to make up her mind and come back to easton to take advantage while noelle was out of the picture

hmm i think she did take care of her grandmother bcz she said abt how srry she felt and abt how wrong she was to do tat to her grandmother..... but i do think that something else happens i mean she didnt become a saint during the time tat she was taking care of her grandmother there has to be some scandal with a guy involved.

I would also have to say no, but maybe it's possible. Since Cheyenne has become the "president" of Billings in these nine months, maybe a rumor of Ivy Slade saying she's coming back to Easton has her on edge? But for Ivy, maybe going back to Easton was her grandmother's dream, so she decided to come back to honor her last request? Or maybe she truly wanted to start over, but couldn't when she realized that Cheyenne had become president, so that made her even more angry and afraid that Cheyenne would become just like Noelle and Ariana for what they did to Ivy's grandmother.

i honestly think she came back just for revenge. i mean she had to have felt SO guilty because it was during her initiation, when the girls broke into her grandma's house, that her grandma had her stroke. I do think she was caring for her grandma, but her return I always figured was so she could get revenge. after spending all that time with her grandma her anger at the billings girls probably grew and grew. especially at chyenne who was her best friend but just left her there a lone to deal with her grandma and the police.

I think Ivy came back toget back at the Billings Girls. She also came back to get back at Cheyenne for leaving her with her grandmother who ends up dead because of the Billings Girls.

Odvesly it looks like Ivy came back to bring billings house down for what they did to her the night they just left when her grandmother was dieing. Also because whatever Ivy had stolen from her grandma cheyenne had kept. i think Ivy deff wanted to get even with cheyenne ( X best friend ) & by the looks of it she sure did i also wanted to put in Noelle is Awesome/evil lol. Kate, I honestly think that it isn't a good idea if you're planning to write a book in between confessions and inner circle - it'll just kinda ruin the story. In my opinion, it'll definitely be better if you were to talk more about what had happened in the later books! That will definitely give us a whole lot of wonder and suspense.

no, i think ivy slade was back at billings partly because her grandma, who was also at billings, was dying and asked her to get back to easton. also, i think it was because ivy wanted to give cheyenne another chance to change and apologize for what she had done to her. her anger probably grew all the more because cheyenne was still the same wharf she was who left her alone with her grandma along with the other billings whom she hated for causing her to harm her grandma.

I still feel like Ivy is playing everyone. Even though she seemed nice in the end i could totaly see her faking all of it because shes obsessed with ending Billings for good. Before she helped Reed, she would aways threaten her, Reed even got her taken to the jail by the police, theres no way Ivy just forgave her so easily and moved on. i have a feeling that Ivy has something to do with the demolation of Billings. I think she spent those 9 monthes planning her ultimate revenge, thats also why she stole Josh! Im so excited now, i hope your going somewhere with this kate!! Im still counting the days till Perfect Mistake!!!

No!!!!!!!!!! I think that ivy was involved in a secret scandal when she was with her grandmother and the only way her father would cover it up was if she went back to easton. she had another motive though and that would be trying to get Billings, the house she always hated, torn down.

Okay. I feel like Ivy is hiding something. Maybe she was helping her grandmother, but she was also plotting against the Billings Girl's. I mean, this IS Private, and so much as happened. Ivy could be trying to get close to Reed so she can take everything away. She might even be helping Sabine and Ariana. You just never know.

No,I don't think she was a perfect angel at during thoes 9 months.She has to have anger problems against Billings, ahe had to have been planning something. You don't return to a place that reminds you of so much pain and loss easily by choice. She never did get her revenge so I have a feeling that she's going to do something. I don't know for sure but I can't wait for Scandel. The title it self tells us that something BIG is going to happen. Plus she was the billings type, and we all know that most of the billings types are not innocent. :)

Sounds like this is going to be pretty good =) ..... Anyway..I was at the library reding a book that was pretty boring so put it back and just happended to look up and see Suspicion on the self. I was so happy so ofcoruse i was going to get it even though i read some of the beginning and know who the killer is [Darn Spoilers I Coouldnt Resist]. Cant wait to really read the book Kate. Reading the things the others have posted, I'm thinking nine months=Baby. Perhaps Gage? And I do not think that Ivy is good. She would make a good bad guy. Not so much a crazy like Sabine or Ariana, but more of a combo of Noelle and Cheyenne and then a revealing of a kid to bring her down a few notches. I think she intentionally took Josh, and I think her attitude toward Reed before she became nice was more of her true colors.

I think that Ivy was caring for her Grandma. But that's not ALL she was doing. I think Ivy has a secret. A secret that took her back to easton. I think the reason she might not have wanted to go to billings because there is something there..something from her past she has not told anyone about. While with her grandmother I think she was doing something linked to that thing. Perhaps a person had been murdered at easton before Reed had gotten there. Someone Ivy new..or shared love with??

I think Ivy's excuse about taking an absense for her grandma was not believable to many people, I remember reading that I didn't really believe her. She was probably up to something else or was suspened from Easton for a while. Now, when she returns to Easton I think she wanted to get back at life and i dont think she really wanted to torture Billings, but to show she can be who ever she wants without them. Then i don't think she really wanted to torture Reed either, but stealing Josh away wasn't right. I am just saying my thoughts lol!

It's not really possible for someone like Ivy Slade. Plus she did get accepted back to Billings but declined there is something fishy about her saying she was caring for her Grandmother.

epiphany alert!!!!....i think ivy had something to do with the destruction of the billings house, if you ask me, i thought she seemed way too chipper to see reed. she did get shot when her boyfriend jumped in to save his ex girlfriend from getting hurt, it should've been a little awkward between them, and ivy's a smart girl, shouldn't she tell from the signs that reed and josh don't seem to be over eachother....ivy does have a lot of connections if she was able to find out everything about reed's life and almost sabotage the legacy that year, and i wouldn't put it past her to have a hand with taking billings down...but, aside from plotting revenge and taking care of the grandma, i'm sure there's a big secret she's hiding that she's trying to control at easton, but she didn't start attending easton till beginning of senior year in inner circle, unless you're trying to conjure up something for later books

Oh my gosh! You know how Sabine WAS sweet acting and nobody is how they seem maybe a teacher, like the art teacher (reed's fav), is plotting to kill Reed! in Last Christmas Arianna's fav teacher and Arianna's good friend had an affair. She didn't think it could happen I think that Reed's fav teacher is going to kill Noelle and Reed! That they are plotting Revenge on Noelle cause she's a butt and they just hate reed's guts cause they loved Arianna and they are mad that Reed got her kicked out! IT's farfetched but I think its kinda cool

I would be reallyyy upset if Ivy was hiding something. I wasn't when I found out Ariana was a killer, because there WAS something a little sketchy about her. I wasn't when I found out Sabine was a stalker. I liked her, but she became too friendly. Now Ivy - she's a nice girl, with a difficult past, perhaps why she is the way she is. I don't want her to be hiding a huge secret!

I dont think Ivy is as nice as she seems. At the end of suspucion she seemed totoally and compltely FAKE. i think her true colors were when she was being horrible to everyone including reed. i heard alot of people saying that maybe Ivy was helping Sabine and Cheyenne torture Reed. And when Cheyennes paln to steal him away didnt work, Ivy steppped in. And maybe Sabine didnt reveal that at the end of revelation because she thought she might not succeed and Ivy could finish the job. THEREFOR destruction of Billings. I was also wondering if Sawyers sister was included in this. Maybe she went to Billings at one point and something that happened was part of the reason she killed herself but sawyer didnt want to say that because he knew Reed was a Billings girl. Maybe Ivy and Sawyers dad were working together to get Billings house to fall.

Okay first all of Kate OMG i loved suspicion i finally got the book and read it all and loved every single bit of it i was shocked when i found out who was behind it all i never once thought it would be her your amazing!!!!!!!!! I cant wait till the next week im soooo excited keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think in those 9 months you should do a prequel about all the characters (including Ivy) like you did with Ariana and about how she got with Thomas and other stuff! And talk about what they were doing and how they were and everthing like that it would be amazing and then we would know what really happened with everyone in those nine months what do you think????????

Wow, I haven't written/commented in a while. Okay, I think putting in a book between Confessions and Inner Circle is brilliant but might be a bit difficult. I mean, is it still gonna be in Reed's POV or Ivy's? I deffinately think she came back for revenge, but DEFFINATELY didn't have it in her to kill her x-bff. I DO think that she did want to bring Billings down, though. But I doubt she had anything to do with Billings coming down in Suspicion(SORRY FOR ALL THE PEOPLE WHO DIDN'T GET TO READ SUSPICION!!!)I think Ivy came back to Easton because her parents and grandmother started to realize how important her education was after her grandmother was healing. Yes and No. I think that Ivy wasn't planing on going back to Easton until she found out about Reed and everything that was going on with Thomas. I think this is true because when she got there Reed tried to talk to her and Ivy said I know who you are, your the girl who ruined Thomas Pearson's life. I think she came back just to screw with Reed and also to see what would happen with the Billings girls. I alos think that she might have come back because either her parent's made her or her grandmother could of asked her to go back as a last wish for her granddaughter do something right. Sense she loves her grandma so much she would always do what she wanted her to do.

well maybe with all the stuff going on with ivy, she decided to do drugs witch there for she had to go to rehab -?- maybe she had a mental disorder and cut herself -?- maybe she went threw a depression and had to go somewere to get over it -?- mourning over her grandma is all i can put together -thats just me

i think that ivy really did care for her grandmother, because she felt so guilty about what happened. but she wouldnt decide to come back to easton and be hated and taunted by everyone, especially the billings girls, because she declined the invite. i think she has some big plan against billings, a way to tear apart all of the billings girls, like being responsible for the demolition of billings. she probably took advantage of the weeks noelle and reed, the two most powerful girls at easton, were gone. i dont want to believe, i oove ivy, but it seems like something she would do.

Why do people keep insisting that Ivy "stole" Josh from Reed? True, Josh shouldn't have moved on so fast after their break up, but you have to admit that Reed was mostly at fault for why they broke up. Sad to admit, but it's true. :(

I do believe that was part of it, but not all. I mean, as thebook revelation went on we did discover a nice side to Ivy Salde, and that behind her facade she was a genuinely good person, besides stealing Josh (grr) But did she really spend the whole nine months caring for her grandmother? I doubt it. Ivy Slade is not the type of person to spend al her time doing the same thing, and I'm sure she was busy hating Noelle and the other Billings girls as well. She probably did lots of other stuff like shopping and the basics, and maybe plotting against the Billings girls, deciding what she was going to do when she got back. But maybe there was more than that. Since we don't have the ability to read Ivy's thoughts, we don't really know. There are so many things that could have happened during nine months, so many things that she could have been a part of. But really, in the end it's up to Kate what went on with Ivy Slade and her shady history. I know I can't wait to find out.

I believe Ivy, we seem to have seen a new side to her in recent books, I don't think she is all that bad, though I want to hate her since she is with Josh! Haha Anyways I'm not too interested in those missing months, but in Noelle(and Kiran and Taylor and I guess Ariana) as a freshmen, before they were Billings Girls. Obviously they expected to become them, but were hey quite as confident? I think that would be interesting.

i think ivy should visit easton during the march break and see rose and rose could be like "u should come back to ewaston, i know you blame noelle, cheyenne and the others for leaving you ther with your grandma but everyone but cheyenne is gone now. come back to billings! we'll extend an invite!" that should make ivywant to come back but later she decidews not to go back to billings because she doesn't need that! and there should also be something about cheyenn's dad letting her host the legacy at there place!! you should so do something ike that kate!!!

I think that is definitely part of it, because the Ivy we see in later books has to be there in some form, but the malicious scheming "Billings girl Material" is also there. I think part of it would be to make those girl's lives miserable, but not in a Sabine way. I'd like to see some of that, just excluding them and stuff.

Hey Kate, I just wanted to say i LOOOOOVED Private so much it's crazy ^^ I just finished Suspicion and it was soooooo good. I think i'm in love with Sawyer :P Ahhhh... Anyways, i read it in a day!! :D I know i should have read it before, BUT I live in France and my mom just went to the US where she bought it. As you can understand too, I'd reaaaaaally loooove to watch the episode!!!! I mean a whole season have gone off and international fans STILL cant watch it!!!! why is everyone so obsessed with someone getting preggo? first reed, and now ivy? i guess maybe ivy may have been preggo, but last week everyone jumped to that conclusion about reed... i think someone at easton, with all of their contacts would have somehow found it if ivy was preggo... i mean with how closely knit their whole rich community is, it would have gotten out... dont you think? w/e just my opinion.

Eh, to be honest I have no clue what Kate plans on doing with the series, but i just hope it's not stupid and ridiculous. Like, for instance, the whole Sabine thing. I thought that whole scenario was ridic, but becuase Kate never explained how the hell Ariana had a half sister. I think that Ivy being pregnant is crazy, and a little cliche. Seriosly. Girl leaves school and comes back after nine months after being secretly pregnant? How original. I just hope that Kate doesn't forget about Noelles scar, and maybe mentions something about the connection between Sabine and Ariana.

i get where you're going with this but i dont think the 9 months between have to do anything with ivy. she loves her grandmother. it brings out her character of how everyone thinks shes evil but once you get to know her (end of revelation) shes a caring person. i mean, c'mon she went after reed to help her at Kirans party even thought they had just begun to get to know each other. i thinking putting ivy in a bad light again would just be confusing. but idk, you're the author and i know ill love anything you decide to do =]

Okay, I'm probably way to old to read these books, but I'm always waiting for the next book to come out.. Just wanted to say the "webisodes" are freaking horrible. They're nothing like the books, the acting is horrendous.. and that's not even the worst part... Ariana is suppose to be blonde, Josh has crazy blonde curly hair etc nothing is how it is in the book. Who the hell is Shelby? No, it's just wrong! It's just aggravating. Damn, I need a life.

I wonder about the scar and i do not believe anyone got pregnant. I think Ivy just wanted to mourn over her grandmother. Maybe she did want revenge but her grandmother was more important to her. And about the Arianna and sabine thing, i am curious about it and maybe it will come up somewhere down the road. The series isn't over yet and we still have the Priveledge series.

Kate! I am so excited about this new book. But this Ivy thing... if she did do something bad, and Reed found out about it, wouldn't Reed tell Josh or something. The reason I ask is because if Josh knew about something bad that Ivy did, would he really want to go out with her. Or maybe Reed kept it to herself at the time she found out. Even if that was the case, I am pretty sure that the first time Reed found out that Josh and Ivy were going out, she would have told Josh about the "bad thing" that Ivy did. I am just asking because I want it to match up to the present in the books. Unless the book is told from Ivy's perspective, then I guess Reed wouldn't be in it much. I don't know... I probably just confused you to no end...

It could be a bridge between the two books after Thomas dying and Ariana leaving and before Cheyenne dies and Sabine comes. There should be lots of Josh/Reed moments because we're kindv'e deprived of them now just like we were of Thomas before Last Christmas came out and London's seventeenth should DEFINITLEY be in there so the book has a main plot.

No, ofcourse not. I think Ivy really wanted to leave after everything that happened with her grandmother but when she found out everything that happened to the billings girls, she just had to come back to get back at them for what they did to her. But once she found out about reed, she had to target the new girl cause everyone would expect her to target the other. but i dont think she planned on taking josh originally but after reed and dash and reed and josh breaking up, she just could not let the chance to hurt reed get past her but then i think she really did start to form real feelings for josh. but that doesnt meen that she and josh shoukd stay together. But yea there should definitely be a book that covered those none months cause i totally miss reed and josh cause btw they are like the perfect couple!

NONONONONONO. Please do not write a book in the 9 months that's just Ivy doing this and that. Unless there's something wicked intense, I don't mind. However, if she killed someone (for those who brought up and supported that theory), I think that'd be boring. No, it would not be intense. No, it would not be interesting. It be freaking boring. We don't need a fourth killer. It's just boring. Like what, turn the rest of the girls into physcos too? Seriously, people. No offense, but you do not know the meaning of creativity. well, since ivy went to easton before, i think that she truly liked josh from the begining, and was trying to make him jealous with gage, but when everything happened with her grandma, she left. then ivy found out that reed and josh were together and she came back to break josh and reed up (which by the way worked!!!) but coming back to easton had nothing to do with the billings girls (even though almost everything has to do with the billings girl... i luv billings girls) katie pierson San Francisco California

I think that Ivy took time off to help take care of her grandmother because she felt guilty. But once her grandmother died her family probably blamed her. So, in an attempt to get her old life back she went back to Easton. Everyone knew that she would be super happy if Billings were to be shut down or, say, torn to the ground without any of its residents knowing? the billings girls also dont like ivy because she turned down an invitation to be one of them and that is just not acceptable! so the main question is why would ivy come back if she hated the people who ruled the campus!?!

I think that Ivy's grandmother was a good person, but she possibly asked Ivy to OD her so that she could pass and be out of pain. And maybe her grandmother freed her of all guilt and said that when she passed, her dying wish was for Ivy to go back and live up to her full potential. Maybe Ivy killed her, then got away from the suspicion of neighbors and autopsies, and fulfilled her grandmother's wish, and then went back to Easton.

IVY WAS NOT GONE FOR 9 MONTHS SHE WAS GONE FOR 1 YEAR!!!!!! ivy turning down Billings happened the spring before Reed got to Easton. Ivy probably decieded to go back to Easton because none of the Billings grils that were there when she turned it down are there anymore. She probably thought she could convince Chennye to change Billings. But I still think she is hiding something......

Well because Ivy is the person that she is, although she may have taken the time out to help her grandmother out i think it had more to do with her dislike for the billing's girls. Ivy is a very complicated character so even if she is telling the truth there's something else behind it.
