Glass-licker Earns her Nickname

"The ethereal girl spun out of her friend's arms toward the window and suddenly she froze. My heart caught, startled at her abruptness, but it took me a good long moment to realize that she was staring right at me. I had mistaken her gaze as flighty and unfocused, but I saw now that it was the exact opposite. She looked right through me, around me, all over me, taking in everything and turning me inside out. Embarrassed, I looked quickly away, pretending to be preoccupied by something in the room, but it was no use. I had to look back. When I did, she was holding her curtains in both hands, still staring."

Although Reed didn't know it at the time, she'd just caught her very first glimpse of Ariana Osgood through her Billings House window. Ariana had clearly seen her, too, and soon after, it inspired Noelle to introduce herself, Kiran, Taylor, and Ariana to Reed in person. "Now that you know who we are," Noelle told Reed, "maybe you can have a little respect and quit licking the glass."

Ever since, Reed's been affectionately known as Glass-licker.

Love it or hate it, do you have a nickname? Reed's has grown on her. In a way, it's the perfect reminder of just how far she's come.
